yes the government still has not found the right preventive measures to overcome it.

They will never find it. Governments just want to defame Bitcoin by stating that it is being used for criminal purposes, while they are well aware of the fact that their fiat currencies are more than anything being used for that.

Even in the case of fiat being used by criminals the most, we can't blame fiat for that. Fiat and Bitcoin are nothing more than tools that people can use or abuse in their preferred way.

I personally don't care about how people use Bitcoin. If they want to buy drugs, so be it. If they want to buy weapons, again so be it. Everyone here should mind its own business, and not focus on how others use Bitcoin.

Well if you're into cryto currency or in the cyber world. This is posible. Late 2014 I also read from the internet that people who is under or uses the deepweb involve bitcoin in their bad doings. They use bitcoin as their currency to buy drugs or weapons or sell any illegal things because transaction don't detect your location. Actually we can't blame bitcoin for this but those people who involve this currency for their bad doings. It's a shame that some people get bitcoin in illegal way but other people uses them in bad things.

as to ops... Bitcoin is have a lot of usage as you say that it was a currency so people can use it to buy anything. Try to analyze why satoshi invented this new generation currency. As to my knowledge i read that He want to separate the eyes of the governments and banks to the account of a person. He want also to make faster transaction without the approval of the bank. So in his creation things are going bigger, drug dealer and other criminal are taking the advantage of this situation and the new invention. It will not stain the name of bitcoin as you and me and other bitcoiners know whats right from wrong.

We can insist that bitcoin should not be used for illegal activities but there would always be people who would use it because it is easier to send than fiat money and being anonymous would be an advantage to them but then we cannot deny the fact that fiat and other payment options can be used in illegal activities as well so it should not be just mutually exclusive to bitcoin or cryptocurrency so to speak.

Being unregulated, this is always the offense that people speak of who doesn't have an idea to what bitcoin is all about. It is use by criminals and use for illegal activities but then I think fiat is use more for illegal activities. There is some truth to what they are saying but they are only looking one side of the coin. This is old news because  since the creation of Bitcoin it was already used for illegal activities and buying drugs with it is one of them. Decentralization and anonymity has its pros and cons and Bitcoin characteristics are being taken advantage by this hoodlums and of course it is giving a bad rep for Bitcoin but in my opinion I  do not think that the price will be affected by it. I know that price are dictated by supply and demand and it does not matter who buys it, so if these drug dealers still drives up demand and sellers will sell regardless whose buying it.

This is not the first time we heard this kind of things, most of the time media covers the news that Bitcoin being used for money laundry, for supporting terrorist and other bad thing, but most of them failed to notice that Bitcoin is only a medium, it's only a currency, how people used it, it's not related to Bitcoin at all, we should remind everyone to used and promote Bitcoin for positive things and media need to cover more positive side of Bitcoin

negative stigmas always have the tenancy to have more of an impact and stick around longer compared to positive news. unfortunately, most people don't have the ability to see the biased mainstream media for what it is. not to mention, negative news tends to get much better ratings than positive news, with a few exceptions here and there.

i dont think that's the government's first worry, no matter what it is, if it has the potential to be used for crime, people will use it for crime. simple as that. it can be regulated, but you can never police bitcoin enough (or anything really) to stop all criminal activity associated with it.

If people thinks that bitcoin is mostly used at drugs or any illegal activities then just let them have that mind set. Clearly they didn't understand what's the catch about bitcoin and just believe on whatever they read on the internet. You don't need to be worry if that will create a negative impact about the image of bitcoin. That is not enough basis for people to think that bitcoin is mostly used on illegal activities.

What you need to do if someone asked you about that? Explain the bitcoin basics in simple description and the used of it and after that let them do their own research if they are really curious about what bitcoin really is.
