Hey guys I'm having issues building the casinocoind in on linux (Ubuntu LTS 12.04). I started with litecoind and am able to successfully build that from source. I'm pretty sure something wonky is going on with the libboost dependencies. I had to install libdb5.1++-dev because aptitude won't install 4.8++-dev package, I seem to have tried 4.6 and 4.8 both now, clearing out the libs and such and reinstalling. I have a few other altcoin daemons build successfully now, I just can't get CSC compiled.

If anyone has any suggestions here are the errors make is spitting out at me:
Code:
.

That's the part that seems to be throwing it off first, then finishes out with:
Code:
.

The main suggestion i keep seeing is just to install the 4.8 libs I seem to have tried that already to no avail.

Any suggestions from someone who has compiled the daemon would be greatly appreciated.

http://www.forums.casinocoin.org/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=7

try this?

Thanks a bunch that led me into a different direction and helped me solve the problem. The solution to this problem was having to simple issue a mkdir obj command in the /src build directory. I would think the makefile should take care of that ? Either way, I got it compiled :]

OMG. I cannot wait till this site comes alive!!!  Shocked

The background pic looks awesome even if it's temporary.
I like how professional the site looks with that background.

I hope you'll have your own exchange for BTC to CSC and back.

The site looks great Cheesy. I would also like to know about btc to csc exchange. Will it be on the website or will people be forwarded to cryptsy or places like that and given info as to the easiest way to obtain csc?

Also, guys I can't connect to the casinocoin network. I have created a config from the main page, can anyone give me any extra nodes? Seems like they are all down from the main page, or my software isn't working.

Nice website! I like it, I like it. Go on this way

Edit: Wallet suddenly works! But only 2 connections. Still out of sync, but loaded blockchain for a while.

Maybe add some nodes?

Can we keep this great looking site a bit low on the radar untill it launches? Untill then its easy mining before it explodes. Already bought 20k lol

http request failed: Failed connect to 127.0.0.1:47970 no error
json_rpc_failed: retry after 30 seconds.

I have the same and my wallet won't connect either. Wallet had a little connection some time ago (2 conn) and could download a bit of the blockchain, but now again out of sync. So both wallet and solomine doesn't work properly here.

Solomine:
http request failed: Failed connect to 127.0.0.1:47970 no error
json_rpc_failed: retry after 30 seconds.

Any suggestions?

(By the way price is moving a bit upwards now)
