Network Hash rate is jumping the last 24 hours like crazy between 400 - 900 MHash. There are probably a lot of big miners hopping between currencies and when they get back to CSC it has a big influence on mining because the difficulty has not adapted yet but mining power increased. So the new big miners take a very large share of the blocks. It seems to me they are doing it on purpose because as soon as difficulty increases they leave again. Maybe the CSC admins should analyse this and maybe decrease the time between new difficulty calculations?

@ajochems, you bring up a good point. I remember running into this issue not too long after CasinoCoin was listed on coin chooser sites like CoinWarz.com and CoinChoose.com. It was extremely frustrating because anytime CSC became the #1 most profitable coin, the global network hashrate would shoot up, and the difficulty would climb. Once the difficulty adjusted, the massive hashrate would move onto the next profitable coin, thereby leaving CasinoCoin stuck at the higher difficulty. During those times, I would dedicate my mining rigs to CasinoCoin at 100% to get to the next difficulty adjustment and help lower difficulty, but then the cycle would repeat itself when CSC became #1.

It looks like since my hiatus, CSC has been delisted from CoinChoose.com (yay!), but it's still on CoinWarz.com.

At this point, I'm not sure what the correct answer is -- I think further analysis needs to be done. If the time between difficulty adjustments is decreased, I can potentially see difficulty shoot up even more quickly if the network hashrate is high and stays consistent for a decent amount of time.

Just curious -- do you have an example of a coin that you think has the difficulty adjust time "just right"? This question is really open to anyone -- just would like your input to see how we can adjust CasinoCoin if we decide changes need to be made.

Last but not least, I just want to make it clear that when it comes to modifying the core properties of CasinoCoin (ie. block reward counts, difficulty adjustments, etc), I want to avoid making updates without first consulting the CasinoCoin community. I've witnessed a few coins where the developers changed these critical parameters without any input from others, and the backlash from such an action killed or nearly killed off the coin. This is something that I want to avoid and welcome each and everyone of your thoughts and opinions on the matter before making any updates to the core properties of CasinoCoin.

Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

On this thread (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=375608.0) the tagcoin creator is discussing integrating various alt coins into his rewards and payment platform. It's something to consider to broaden the base for the coin and deepen its roots.

@transcoder will have to take a look, and make the decisions from here. I agree, get this coin out into the public will broaden its reach.

I am currently in the creation of weather proof, CasinoCoin stickers with a scanable QR Code. I will be giving the first 120 (packs of 6) away for free shipped right to your door.
Why? These stickers will be very Eye-Catching and whoever passes by will read and or scan. It will take you to a unique url that gives the option of learning about CSC, Donating to the Cause, Or get your own packs of stickers.
Eventually we will be offering a unique QR code for each persons stickers, giving you the ability to add your " wallet address."

This will help reach out to a new era of casinocoiners.
Let me no what you think!

That is a amazing idea. I for one would love to spread the love around New Zealand.

I really believe this coin have a viable place online! I'm stocking up as much as I can.

I don't see this as being very beneficial.  I think the most useful thing to put development hours into is differentiating CasinoCoin, and the obvious path for differentiation, in my opinion, would be adding unique feature(s) that relate to wagering - and/ or ones that attract people to use the coin for gambling.  The name and branding is great, but in the end, if I have to trade USD for BTC and BTC for CSC, and then deposit CSC for "credits" on a gambling site... what's the point? I really don't see one.  The community should really think good and hard to come up with some great suggestions for a way that the dev(s) can give CasinoCoin a unique feature or feature-set that helps it live up to its name.  At the very least, readily available libraries, like ZeroCoin should be looked at and integration should be considered.

People need a reason to use this coin for gaming.  I'm going to throw out some crazy ideas right here.  These aren't anything great, but could get people thinking:

1.  Create something that allows for real-time gaming with the coin, without having to deposit it or convert it into "credits".  It needs to become like a gaming chip, not a means for purchasing chips.  This can be done via enhancements to the coin.  For example, adding a short term escrow feature, where a "bet" initiates the transfer to the house, but the transfer only completes if the user loses their bet and the house accepts the transfer.  As soon as the bet is made and the transfer enters escrow, preemptive confirms should begin to occur to speed up the confirm process should the player lose the bet.  If the player wins their bet, the original transfer escrow (the bet) would be cancelled.  The winnings transfer would be initiated back to the player.  In order to allow for real time gaming, the house would automatically track and allow the player to rebet any unconfirmed winnings that have been paid.  I may be out of my mind with this suggestion, but I'm just throwing it out there because something unique needs to happen.

2.  An additional bucket or pool could be created in the chain where CSC is deposited as universal chips within the currency that can be used directly at any CSC casino, without a deposit or worrying about confirms on every transfer.

3.  And/ OR add anonymity using ZeroCoin or some other type of chain mixing to at least differentiate from MOST other coins and then market the crap out of that feature in regards to anonymously gambling online.

4.  If you only add an anonymity feature, getting people to make this the go-to coin for gambling will require a lot of leverage.  Another good idea would be to build a betting framework that is open source and available to anyone to use to launch a Casino - but make it so it can only accept CasinoCoin without the code being heavily modified by someone who could just make their own casino themselves.  You could even create a turnkey poker, or even a full casino suite that only works with CSC... and GIVE it away.  Flood the market with it.  Get tons of webmasters to put their money and marketing efforts into launching CSC casinos by giving them a turnkey solution and making it extremely easy for them.  They'll have to buy or mine and hold CSC to bank their casinos and the price will go up.

5.  Another possibility would be to create two wallets.  A player wallet, and a house wallet with more features.  Or even change the algo so that house wallets are more trusted.  Maybe house wallets can only be considered "trusted" if they have x amount of bank in them with x amount of confirms on it.  Or even, make it so the "bank" or "house" wallets' bankroll is easily known by players so they can trust them more (they could always transfer out profits and keep whatever amount in the bank wallet to bank with).

The other thing that needs to happen, is eventually, a "cashier" or central CSC exchange will have to be created to ensure the layman or woman can easily trade for CSC to gamble with.

I don't know - just throwing some stuff out there.  It will probably require attracting more developers to do it right, but I think it has to be done right, or it will just be another coin with a good name and nothing unique.

We have to pump CSC over 0.0001 BTC to get some attention for this coin. People spending thousands of BTC for DOGE coin?
Just 5 BTC buy would make the price go over 0.001 already.

Another 50 BTC and we are over 0.001

https://www.megamineros.com/CSC

One week running and more than 20.000 coins mined at the pool. We currently can really use some hashrate!! Some pools are getting to big and that is dangerous for the stabillity of the coin! Create multiple accounts at different pools and divide your hashrate. We are running on 1% fee now!

Now 1 CSC Block bonus paid by the Pool owner for every block found, so big miners head over to our pool!

If you have skills beyond mine and can design something that is way better please feel free to share.

I don't, and I think yours is fine. But I do know some designers that I could throw $50 at to make more designs.. actually, you could just go to fiverr.com and maybe get some there. It's incredible what you can get for 5 bux.

It is a circle sticker so the background will not be there obviously.^^^^

This is the design i'm sending to the printer to rework and make it shine!
Iv'e put out an order for 1000, 2.5" x 2.5" stickers. I will be shipping to Canadian residents first for FREE! and then after all this holiday stuff will ship to to America and international FREE!
To get your own unique URL or Wallet Address QR code placed into stickers you must do three of the following:

1) Take pictures of the stickers we shipped to out and you stamped (posted) around your hometown, city, bus, or Anywhere!
2) Join the forums at forums.casinocoin.org and request them there.
3) Make a CSC Donation to CGmybJBRxiNaeNWsMZrMW7unzYWwXgJkqa
4) Make a BTC Donation to 12vaUMDQrw9wi6dvZ6E1GH3CVoCiRs2NsK

The third and fourth options go out to purchasing more stickers and shipping costs.

We believe this will help spread the Coin a lot quicker in a unique, cool, sexy way.

As for the design i will post pictures of the stickers when the arrive at my door! If you have skills beyond mine and can design something that is way better please feel free to share.

Thanks everyone and let me know what you think

I really like the focus on getting the coin into use.  Who would be the target for seeing the sticker and what would we want them to do when seeing it?  I ask because the listed benefits are decentralized and anonymous.  It is correct, but again depends on the target and if that would resonate as a benefit.  (e.g. I like the fact that I can virtually tip or send coins to buy them a beer for a good idea or helping me out without the hassle, etc.  Sample of 1, but you get the idea)

Medieval. Premise of the game is to build a dungeon that other players will fight in.

Ah the hell with it.. CasinoCoinCity.com

First time anyone from the public will see this.
*The rest of the pages will be added when active.

O shit!!!!

1 more idea, Talk to coinedup. Seriously they got free exchanges . People love to buy and sell and play the market.. If we can get that coin there it would help. People like to buy .001 and sell for .002.. that .001 profit makes people trade it..Without that 2% bullshit fee. Honestly i know most people are like Fuck coined because its goes down sometimes.. But the transactions always make it.. to your wallet.

Once that shit goes up.. People will be trading alt coins for Casinocoin!!!! dam i need to mine faster.. Or get a job and buy a new computer.. laptop sucks.

Hey guys I'm having issues building the casinocoind in on linux (Ubuntu LTS 12.04). I started with litecoind and am able to successfully build that from source. I'm pretty sure something wonky is going on with the libboost dependencies. I had to install libdb5.1++-dev because aptitude won't install 4.8++-dev package, I seem to have tried 4.6 and 4.8 both now, clearing out the libs and such and reinstalling. I have a few other altcoin daemons build successfully now, I just can't get CSC compiled.

If anyone has any suggestions here are the errors make is spitting out at me:
Code:
../share/genbuild.sh: 33: ../share/genbuild.sh: cannot create obj/build.h: Directory nonexistent
../share/genbuild.sh: 34: ../share/genbuild.sh: cannot create obj/build.h: Directory nonexistent
make: *** [obj/build.h] Error 2
make: *** Waiting for unfinished jobs....

That's the part that seems to be throwing it off first, then finishes out with:
Code:
netbase.cpp:1165:1: fatal error: opening dependency file obj/netbase.d: No such file or directory
compilation terminated.
checkpoints.cpp:66:1: fatal error: opening dependency file obj/checkpoints.d: No such file or directory
compilation terminated.
addrman.cpp:527:1: fatal error: opening dependency file obj/addrman.d: No such file or directory
compilation terminated.
make: *** [obj/netbase.o] Error 1
make: *** [obj/addrman.o] Error 1
make: *** [obj/checkpoints.o] Error 1

The main suggestion i keep seeing is just to install the 4.8 libs I seem to have tried that already to no avail.

Any suggestions from someone who has compiled the daemon would be greatly appreciated.
