Anyone a comment on a thought about the logo? See: http://afbeelding.im/GJr for example. Maybe there needs only a little black in C-shape in the first capital so you can see it is a "C" belonging to the rest. And the white changed in grey as the rest of the logotext later on.

I find the current logo good though. Just textassociation is a bit better maybe with "casinocoin" in the example above. No "sinocoin"  misinterpretation what was mentioned in this thread a week ago.  I see there are designers here in the house, so I let it to them what is best. The logo now is attractive also, so maybe no change at all is needed.

Looks good, only the A looks kinda off..

Just for a brainstorm I put it there Grin

I find the current logo ok, only thing is the right interpretation of the logotext by some. But I think most people will associatie it with casino. So maybe we let the logo as it is. We are used to it already. We will see, there are connections with designers here in the house, so who knows.

I'm a newbie here - but have been following CasinoCoin and this thread for some time.

This coin has HUGE potential.  Please don't put that 'a' in the logo.  The original logo is simple, and means what it means to those remotely interested in casinos and gambling.  I have a background in internet marketing and design, and think maybe i'd like to do more to help.  The community seems great, and i'm loving what i'm seeing day by day.  The designs for the site looks pretty damn good too.

I do think it's hugely important for CasinoCoin to have a presence everywhere - FB, G+ at LEAST.  G+ could in fact be very useful to this community for putting teams together who are working on the different parts of the project.  I guess i'm volunteering to create a G+ page, but would of course need to be provided with graphics, information, links etc in agreement with the devs.  God, there should at least be a basic page there, so let me know if you want me to do it,  I'll then rally the troops to follow the pages on G+ AND FB.

I friend of mine is also considering working with me on some CasinoCoin games.  We reckon this could have an amazing future.  It has the right image and name, which just can't be bettered, this gives us a great opportunity - I mean - have you seen the names of some of these coins?  How will they last in the real world?  what are they for?

Congrats to everyone that's working so hard on this. Cheers to success - even if the value has bottomed out today!

Great post... I hope they will accept your help. I think it's very important to see some more development from the devs. There's not much happening the last few days and the price is getting very low at the moment. I just bought some more CSC, since I believe in this coin.

Devs, can you give us an update about what's going in? When will the Casino be released? Looking forward to an answer. Thanks!

I agree with you. No "a" in the logo. The current logo is good as it is. Very good indeed. The posting was meant as brainstorm, because some didn't associate the logotext with casino. And as you say, the design for the site is also very promising.

Welcome, welcome. I would say a big YES. Transcoder or Casinocoin will react on this, I suppose.

Which nodes do you have in the casinocoin.conf file? I have 3-8 connections with the wallet most of the time.

Since not everyone monitors the Casinocoin pool thread there is an important code change to the Casinocoin p2pool source. Please update to the latest source on github:

I have been mining CSCs for the last couple of weeks with pretty much all I had. I believe that crypto currency would be a fantastic thing to gamble with. (Isn't that what we all do on cryptsy, btc-e, MtGox etc.? Smiley Initially I thought that the devs would try to push the coin onto existing casinos, but I don't seem to see much discussion about this these days. In my opinion, if the devs are understaffed, it seems inefficient to try creating a successful casino from scratch. I'm just wondering if http://www.cubeia.org/ (open source versions available) could be used as a starting point in case you really want to go this path. It seems to offer a nice framework and a very solid base for user management and a game api etc.

But for a much quicker launch something like http://whitelabelcasino.com/ seems a possibility to me. You can try their framework and games for free, you can even make some money from that free version. (They want to keep ~65% of the profit in that case, but that's still better for starters than to let the coin and all the investments go to waste.) I don't know if they would allow crypto currency (I contacted them to ask today. I'll report back if I get an answer), but the pro version allows you to write your own back-office stuff. So it seems possible. Their business model seems to be based on a large profit share but small upfront cost. Since they provide most of the heavy lifting for you a ~50:50 profit split seems quite fair to me. However, what they really expect is that you can show existing casino traffic. Is anyone here in the business of actually running a casino (virtual or B&M)?

Disclaimer: I am not affiliated with cubeia or with whitelabelcasino. I'm actually not even much of a gambler (besides trading/investing.)

I'd be willing to set up the server, do hosting, make the website, all that stuff I can do. What I can't do is provide the CSC integration to the website.

Mine CasinoCoin with the CasinoCoin Slashers, daily backups, fast transactions, block finder rewards, secured server!

solely based off the stats of the top miners in the pool I am in, it seems like lots of people are bailing Sad

I'm not a big miner but I mined on 2 pools minimum 24 hours each and the both paid out approx 50-65% of what was expected so I'm mining something else for now.

I don't have time to test every pool out to find one that acyually pays approx what is expected, so may I ask which one are you using?
Hi,
I run https://www.megamineros.com/CSC and its a small pool. In the long run it does not matter that much if you mine on a big or a small pool. Short term a small pool can be more erratic but on longer time spans like a week or more there is no or little difference. The last two weeks did have large fluctuations and there are higher spikes in finding blocks, that is all caused by the coinhoppers. They really impact difficulty and are damaging the stability of coins. Also this complicates the calculations on which the predictions are based.

What can be a danger is having one pool getting too big and getting more than 50% of the network hashrate. That can really endanger a coin and miners should spread out over the various pools and not all stick to the same. Mining is not only about finding coins but also in handling transactions, ... if the network goes down the coin dies with it! In cgminer you can load balance your mining power over various mining pools and thus helping the network stability and its future.

Yes It should average out, I'd be happy at 110% block find rate, but huge swings over 24hrs don't seem right, especially when those swings carry on for more than 24hrs and are always in the negative. I just looked at block percentage totals for three CSC pools, all are between 140% and 180%, indicating much longer than expected average block find times. I know that is over a very short time frame but that is indicative of the actual payment I was getting over longer 24hr + windows. I was on one pool for approx 72 hours before I realized I was wasting my time there.

Without going to every CSC pool to find one that has a block find time least 110%, I'm assuming something is wrong with the hash/diff/block payout or something. If it is all attributed to coin hoppers then fair enough but a real shame.

As a comparison the pool I am on now, mining a different coin, (that has a larger hashrate but still has +- 25% diff swings) the pool is at 102% block find percentage now and paid roughly 100% of expected coins for 2 weeks straight with only minimal daily payment swings, and has been since I last posted in this thread. I think the coin retargets diff every 4 mins.

Edit: BTW if you see GhettoMiningCo pop up, that's me.
That is an interesting conclusion. I am running for little over a month now and if i look at the block find over that period it is now at about 115%. If i look at the biggest pools like csc.hash.so and csc.dedicatedpool.com they are too high as well. So you are right in that in general it is too high and should be lower. How do solominers perform? Do you guys have high percentages as well? In that case, what could be wrong with the network? I can imagine that if one pool gets too big (50% or more) that it will hurt other pools as well moving all miners in the end to one pool which is NOT good. So i stay with my previous suggestion, either all big miners (hash power of 5MHash or more) do solo mining or they spread out their hashpower over all available pools to flatten out block find percentages and make the network more stable.

Well I was mining Tag and it has forked twice with lots of orphans. The CSC pools I was bitching about seem pretty good now lol!

So there are a 3 options on the table now. Maybe this can be implemented in casinocoincity. Looks good to me and open source: http://www.cubeia.com/cubeia-poker/#prettyPhoto.

When you make a deal with whitelabelcasino http://whitelabelcasino.com/, maybe they will sponsor casinocoin, instead of profitsharing. It's for there promotion as well. A win-win for both.

Casinocoin can you give your opinion on this?

Sure. I think there will be a lot of sponsoring possible also for the casinocoin. Casino's who will go for crypto have the chance now and with the perfect coin developped here with an exclusive name. Maybe if one of them is reading this now, they can contact one of the devs?
