Guys please do not buy many quantities. Do not make these asic companies rich. Usually they dump all asics and make you lose money.

I think I will skip this one at $4000. Well overpriced to be honest.
With the Obelisk coming out in June you really have 2 less algos within 5 months and Lbry profit is never going to be what you expected by the time you get the Giant B. Good Luck to those who's taking the punt!

And Obelisk is real ? Not scam ? Well in their terms it stated "Welcome to Obelisk, Inc. (“Obelisk”, “we” or “us”). Obelisk is a subsidiary of Nebulous Labs, Inc. (“Nebulous”), the team behind Sia, which is currently one of the most promising cryptocurrency projects, and one of the only with a working project" And at least they are transparent about the quantity they are releasing and price is including the PSU. The Giant B looks like another attempt of the Giant+ 2Ghs by Baikal. Many people paid like $4-7k for it and will take them forever to ROI. Do your research wisely is my advise. Whatever profit whattomine is telling you now you will get nowhere near that by the time the miner is in your hand. Just like the $300 a day profit on the Giant X10 at the time was only achievable when they announce the preorder. At near $4000 I will probably go for a S9 @ $2725 instead and even I think that is overpriced. But with BTC @ near $20k, I don't blame Bitmain on trying to double the price.

what coins use Blake256R8 algo?
There are a couple different variants of the Blake256R8 Algo. The Main one being BlakeCoin + Merged Mined Child Coins Also Vcash switch from Whirlpool to Blake256R8 but the header is different so they are not compatible They were also a few other coins that implemented a variant of the Blake256R8 algo, just can't think of them right at the moment The BlakeCoin Dev BlueDragon747 has sent an email to Baikal trying to verify compatibility I have also sent an email and asking the same.

The miner seems very expensive. Maybe should wait for GMO to release their miners? They should be more efficient then bitmain's antminer. Any opinions?

a group buy for this would be ideal so we wouldn't have to pay 4400 on bittawmart and wouldn't have to get the minimum of 6 miners going directly through baikal..

Where did you read that? Anyone ordering from Europe? It will take a long time for 7nm miners to hit a market. I don't think GMO will release sha-256 miner in 2018.

You must remember that Baikals are multi algo, so when you got it, suddenly a very profitable coin comes yet again after some others aren’t anymore.

@bittawm
Is your group buy confirmed or just a booking? another group buy was cancelled because minimum order wasn't met.
I mean to say have you secured X number of units or are just booking and will secure later?

Given all the issues people had with Giant X10 (delays, miners not working, communicating with the company sucks, and so on), I wonder why are you ordering Giant-B ones? I'm not trolling here, I'm trying to understand because I'm considering buying one but baikal's issues concern me.
Guys? @bitcoinexplorer ?
