http://spt.coinmine.pl/ Haven't tried any others (this is the pool I use)

Ok I switched to vircurpool and suggest everyone else do the same until we hear from the pool op. I'll remove it from the op for now too.
World you like me to get a pool going for you?

I'm always down to have more pools. PM me the info if you put it up and post it here. If it's stable for 24 hours, I'll put it in the OP. Thanks for offering, even if you decide not to. The more pools we can keep stable and populated, the less the multipools will be able to take from us!

We are ready to announce the fourth currency that will be accepted for trade on iGotSpots.com

That currency is...Copper Bars! We designed this coin to be mined in conjunction with Spots and took the complete opposite approach when it came to parameters. Spots is a Scrypt coin made to be mined with GPU's, while Copper Bars are Scrypt-Jane and meant to be mined with CPU's. This will allow you to mine both coins concurrently and double your precious metals profits! Spots is a slow block time coin that rewards 49 Spots per block. Copper Bars will be fast blocks with small rewards. This will attract miners that like slow, big numbers, as well as the people that prefer fast, frequent payouts. Copper Bars will be used to purchase...imagine that, copper bars and coins on iGotSpots.com - We were going to take an already established currnecy, but since Spots launed so well and so smoothly, we decided to make our own that will be mined at the same time as Spots. It's the first package deal coin, so let's do this!

Copper Bars will be announced tonight only in the Spots thread with the official announcement thread coming tomorrow morning. This is to give our amazing community the time it needs to get their miners set up and get a few Bars before the random guys hop on board.

Please keep all Copper Bars related chat in this thread tonight if you guys want a few more hours to get your Bars before everyone else hops on. The official Copper Bars thread will be posted tomorrow morning, but I'm sure someone will spill the beans pretty quickly, though, so get some while you can!

Copper Bars (CPR) - NO PREMINE - NO INSTAMINE - NO BULLSHIT

Scrypt-Jane
16 Second Blocks
.0064 Block Reward x 80 Billion Blocks for 512 Million total Coins
NO SUPERBLOCKS AT ALL
1% Stake with 365 Days of Coin Age Required, 730 days for full weight
RPC Port = 7873
P2P Port = 7874

Stable Nodes for Copper Bars

addnode=184.155.117.207

addnode=71.187.248.95
addnode=68.44.77.3
addnode=69.85.86.195

It's now live and ready to go. I've been telling you guys for the last 2 days to keep an eye on this thread to get on right away.

Shouldn't need any nodes for this one, but if you do, please post and I'll set a few up for the night

Thanks Spots community, this last week has been amazing! Now let me reward you with a way to double your profits with a brand new currency without hindering your ability to continue mining Spots!

update on spt.coinmine.pl issue: indeed there was a problem with unconfirmed balance in one of the versions of mmcfe-ng. Now is it fixed on the pool (just checked). Unfortunately I cannot get from DB how much coins you lost so please post it here and I will refund (until pool liquid assets are depleted which will check your honesty Wink)

Sorry for problems you had

Ok sweet. Thanks for addressing and fixing the issue

I probably lost a couple hundred but just use it for the other people. Or for yourself for running the pool. I really appreciate your work. Thank you

Awesome! I only announced it in this thread as well as Cryptsy chat, so it's seen as a fair launch, but still giving the dedicated Spots community that checks this thread a very minor head start, since you guys are going to be the ones actually using the Bars instead of random miners being greedy

I cannot sync to copper? Huh

You shouldn't need any nodes, uPnP is enabled, so syncing shouldn't be an issue, but if it is then here's some:

Nodes added for Copper Bars
addnode=184.155.117.207
addnode=129.101.180.225
addnode=71.187.248.95
addnode=68.44.77.3
addnode=69.85.86.195

If you need more than that, you can use these, they are the ones I'm currently connected to and solo mining, syncing with no issues:

Go to %appdata%/CopperBars and make this your copperbars.conf:

rpcuser=Anything
rpcpassword=Anything
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
rpcport=Whatever port you use on your miner for solo
server=1
gen=0

addnode=184.155.117.207
addnode=129.101.180.225
addnode=71.187.248.95
addnode=68.44.77.3
addnode=69.85.86.195

--

After you have done this, create a .bat in your CopperBars folders and have it say this:

CopperBars.exe -server

That will launch your QT as a server to solo mine and use the config files from %appdata% folder

Just saw this at 1 am here and set up the miner in 5 minutes! Smiley  Got some coming in within the first minute.  Any way to get this running on gpu? I'm thinking maybe the same setup as yacoin?  I'm running Nvidia though so I don't know if cgminer works with that.

I changed the few things on my conf and added the bat file and relaunched but it just opens and closes the folder immediately.  The .bat file says it a text how do I change it to a bat, instead .bat.text.
Thanks
