I also agree that the shares should all be released at the time stated, or I guess just put up a 300K Buy wall at .001,

If not release all the shares at once why not just let everyone put bids at .001 and just take them all? whats the point of releasing the shares again at 9PM for the exact same price?

The shares (all 7 million) will be released for TRADING on the open market (The owners of shares can then trade) at 8 pm CST. The reason for the cut-off is to give Ethan Time to distribute the shares at IPO price according to the plan stated. After the shares are released for trading we will have no control over the pricing and the market will set price.

This is a fairly coming practice in IPO's and is the most used alternative to a closed or open bidding process.

Hear, hear.

while possible this cant be the overall case for everybody, we could avoid all this mess if the shares were all just released at once at the stated time and then let the market naturally figure out its price, now we have people setting bids over the IPO price which will be taken.. Obviously what company is going to say no to free money... whatever I dont really care hope we see 5x and I can buy something nice later

I don't think you understand how this is going to work as no one will pay over the IPO price. Best to scroll back up to read Burnside's post.

Yes, read Burnsides post. Until open trading starts there is no "point" in submitting orders over IPO price as share distribution will be made evenly across all order of IPO price or higher, at the IPO price.

In short: to maximize your chances of largest possible share allotment you should place an order at IPO price before cut-off time.

When public trading starts all share holders can place sell/buy orders just like with any security and the market will decide the price.

Cool, I moved my order price back to 0.001!

We're almost up to 14 mil shares. And there's enough money already bid to bring that to 14 mil.

I think at least 24 hours notice would be good as well.

Be aware, the IPO will take 7000 Bitcoin. I doubt this will happen "within a very short timeframe".

Will this be the largest IPO in Bitcoin history?

Not sure if anyone has kept stats on things like this.

Yep, they got their bids in and now want to make sure no one else does.

Interest wise, it probably is. Value wise I think 7k BTC does not even make top-10 (I could be wrong)

Well, to be fair, no one was predicting this kind of demand. We're entering a new and bubbled filled era of IPO hopping.

So now over 14 million shares have been put down, this means we will all be averaged out to at least 0.002 per share at this current time.

Am I correct?

I meant interest wise.  I knew the bitcoin amount was fixed so kind of limited in that way.

No, it means you will get half the shares you bid for at .001, the rest will stay as BTC in your wallet.
