1 ETH - should buy alt or hold on to it

I have seen so many alt coins that were cheaper and I was holding on to ETH thinking  it will pave out. I wish i bought altcoins with it as that would got me some profits.

For e.g

I was watching VERGE xvg recently when it was less than 1 cent. today it is 25 cents. I wish that I had invested in it when My gut  instincts was for it.

Did not want to loose the only ether as i lost my Previous eth in Confido scam. Please advise.

Yes, You need. Adapting to the market at each stage to choose the appropriate options. At this stage, I usually choose IOTA or XLM to hold instead of 1 ETH. Volatility is not enough and indeed not many investors are interested in ETH at this stage. There is no reason to keep them. I will suggest for holding. ETH pump is in near. If you BUY alt coin you may have profit in $ value but in ETH you will have to face losses.

For me 1 eth is enough to start investment. To manage all you should have proper knowledge about crypto so that you have much better understanding about the risk, the does and don't principles. Buy some altcoins that you know can remain in the market more years from now. It means don't pick shits coins.

Some of the top ranked ICOs in icodrops or icobench turned to be failures.

ETH is a good coin to have in your possession, But with only one, there are better things you can do with it and get good returns, there are good altcoins out there with good projects that will gain value over time, i suggest you find them and invest in them, they will help multiply your eth with time

If you do not want to lose, then do not go, it's that easy. There is no great potential with little risk.
Everybody bet though with diversification, and even Ethereum takes a long time to become what it is today.

Hold ETH. If you hold with you will earn 3x profit in this year.

There are tow options here, There are lots of good altcoins out there with high growth potential and are cheaply available,  you can Use the ETH to buy these coins and see how much they can make for you in the long run. Maybe you are already in a safe place, but a safe place does not usually provide great growth potential.
So I think looking for a younger altcoin with the risk of losing Eth is better than being in a comfort zone.
