Well serious question actually and maybe second one after - Should I buy BTC. Anyway if you don't have time to research altcoins or you can't trade for some reasons ETH would be a better choice. But if you want to see more than x2 or x3 of course altcoins your choice. ETH now is a second coin on market and it has more than 70 billions capitalization so it would be hard for ETH to get x10 or x100 unfortunately.
One problem with altcoins they can go up or go down in one time for 20,30,50% of their price. It's very hard to find good altcoin. One time I did all research and bought one. I thought that it was a great coin with x5 or more potential but life it's tough thing and price go down very fast. And O lost 30% of my ETH deposit.

Hold. ETH is a coin to hold as I think. Other altcoin and projects like Bitupper are for short term trading and are sold after gaining some profit. That requires much more time because you need to track any changes in coins. |

I think that continuing to hold Ethereum is a very good choice. The current price of Ethereum has started to pick up. I think this is a very good news. I believe this is an indication of the upcoming bull market. I don’t think it will let me Wait too long.
Yes if you are really holding ETH right now just wait till next year you will see the price of ETH how much the increase of it. Just be patient because all of the people who stayed and believe will be rewarded. Goodluck to all of us. |

If we are talking about a short-term perspective, then ETH will be the best option, because after the recent statements by Vitalik Buterina, we will soon see ETH working for POS, if we talk about the long-term, then of course there are so many projects that still have great prospects for the future.

I think it will be smarter if you invest it in an ICO. But not just any other ico. Should be hyped, good team, good reviews ICO. Then that would easily double your money instead of just holding

This post was from last December, wow! It's crazy how quickly the market has changed.
One of the things I hope comes out of the last 3 month slump is that the overall market sentiment has matured.
I hope people start making smarter choices and we won't see shitcoins pumping like crazy then crashing.
I think that projects with a working product and solid team will outperform other coins this year.
When you think of that, that means that the top 30 coins will shift around a lot since most of them don't have any working product.
With that in mind, that means that eth is going to go really far this year.
There are may predicting that it will overtake btc, but I think that won't happen until next year.
ETH was at an all time high of 1300 a couple months ago.
If you calculate the percent increase and you look at the trends throughout a fiscal year, we should be seeing eth hitting that this summer.
Then, we should be seeing eth hit 2500 to 3000k.
This isn't wild speculation it's math.

If I am the one holding the 1eth, I will not hold the 1 eth rather I will use the 1eth and invest a very solid ICO, using the 1eth to invest a solid ICO could give you 1x - 5x return in a short period of time and even more x in the mid and long term.

Whenever in doubt break your coins into half and do with the half that you want to do and keep the rest of the half in case you were wrong. By investing half you make sure you aren't left out while by keeping the other half you make sure you don't lose it all if your intuition proves out to be wrong.

I would better hold ETH.

I have seen so many alt coins that were cheaper and I was holding on to ETH thinking it will pave out. I wish i bought altcoins with it as that would got me some profits.
For e.g
I was watching VERGE xvg recently when it was less than 1 cent. today it is 25 cents. I wish that I had invested in it when My gut instincts was for it.
Did not want to loose the only ether as i lost my Previous eth in Confido scam. Please advise.
That I'd lost faith in Ethereum, so I'd sell it if I were you, and I'd buy a lot of different altcoins. I would choose the 5 most liked me and would put money in them. In my opinion, this would be the best solution. |

The most important thing to know when you are investing is put your investment in several coin, do not put all your money in one coin. So you have chances to gain profit even on or two coins losing the price.

I will say invest that one ethereum into ICO then get high returns in a very short time,if you hold that ethereum it may take years to give the same profits,but investing on ICO is risky so if you want high return take that risk and make huge money in short time.

I think you should defend your eth. learning from your already deceived experiences should remain in the ETH alone. Stay focused and see price movements, calm down, eth price will soon rise as last year. |

If i have 1ETH maybe i should buy another altcoins that have a potential to reach a high price, And maybe on that way we can earn some profit and buy again another until your 1ETH can get going rise again. Actually it have some many potential altcoins we can invest or buy in the market so in your 1ETH just buy on it.
