You can split it up. Keep a certain portion of your money in eth, and invest the rest in alts. Eth will probably rise, but at a smaller percentage than alts, but alts are risky obviously. So if your investment in alts fails, you will still have a portion of your eth.

If for m i like to hold my 1 ETH instead of investing into other coins because the value of 1 ETH is good but if i buy other altcoin there will be some fee on me for buying other coins so it is better to hold my one ETH. I like to have a variety of altcoins but the problem is money. In the future if some one told me to design a website for me and i will pay you in other coins then i will feel happy and i will surely work for them. it is good for me to hold my ETH because the value of ETH is good.

ETH made a huge percentage increase in this year and that does not mean it would not still make in coming years. Also, no one should because of the huge increase in profit, invest in any altcoin. As much as you can have those multiplications, you can also lose your funds, but it is good to understand the team, project and roadmap before going ahead to invest and holding a coin.

It is always better to split your investment. In any area of investment having many different option is much safer than just sticking to one investment.

Always better. We cannot trust all altcoin to do well, but at least, if you hold a good number of some of them, you should sure be able to get the best from them on the average. In my opinion, The best choice is to divide this money into many currencies to  ensure the  financial profit, and for me you should hold 50% into ethereum because the current price reaches more than  $ 1000 and  the last period  the price progressed quickly. the you shoud buy 25% Ripple (XRP)  because now  the  price  become $3.49  Despite this value is low compared to other currencies (such as: Bitcoin, etheruem , litecoin) but This currency has developed rapidly And when you buy  a significant amount of it will be a big financial profit, especially when there is a huge evolution of the price in the near future .
Furthermore, the last percentage (25%) it will be  to buy TRON (TRX) Which has become in top 10 ,Which also developed by more than 1000% in last month .

I have seen so many alt coins that were cheaper and I was holding on to ETH thinking  it will pave out. I wish i bought altcoins with it as that would got me some profits.

I was watching VERGE xvg recently when it was less than 1 cent. today it is 25 cents. I wish that I had invested in it when My gut  instincts was for it.

Did not want to loose the only ether as i lost my Previous eth in Confido scam. Please advise.

You should hold your ethereum. It has just started to fly high. Better to hold your ethereum, i guess it has a long way to go. So dont sell your alts just hold your ethereum.

I suggest you  hold it because ethereum is rising and nobody knows what the price it will reach. Some say 500, some say 600 while others say 1000$. Who knows, maybe it reaches 2000$ 3000$? or more , let's see what will happen then.

1.if you find that the other altcoin will bring you higher return then your Ethereum return then you should buy that altcoin. and you are no confident then just keep your Ethereum. Sometime holding are the good choice other then do trading.
2. you also can divide by 4 , each 25% to buy some good altcoin. In this way you can spread the risk itself by each altcoin.

I think all of us will say that you should hold it for long period of time and wait for the price increase of that coin but it will depends on you because the best decision is in your hand it is not bad if you sell your coin the iportant is you gain good profit after youbsell it.
