1 ETH - should buy alt or hold on to it

I have seen so many alt coins that were cheaper and I was holding on to ETH thinking  it will pave out. I wish i bought altcoins with it as that would got me some profits.

For e.g

I was watching VERGE xvg recently when it was less than 1 cent. today it is 25 cents. I wish that I had invested in it when My gut  instincts was for it.

Did not want to loose the only ether as i lost my Previous eth in Confido scam. Please advise.

Well its quite definite that the profit will be of much high proportions if you invest in some of the smaller alts that went on to pump big.
So maybe you should buy some alts and also if you want, then keep like 30-40% of your Eth to hold.

You can split it up. Keep a certain portion of your money in eth, and invest the rest in alts. Eth will probably rise, but at a smaller percentage than alts, but alts are risky obviously. So if your investment in alts fails, you will still have a portion of your eth.

I'd rather think, ETH should have a relatively good increase. Because of the increase in DASH and BCH, as well as the increase in BTS and XRP, ETH's current price is still low, and I think it could go up to $ 2,000.

if you had a bad experience in investing on ico maybre you should doing trade instead. verge is good coin and its under valued right now. i believe you might got some if you invest on it and hold it for a few month

I would say hold it. ETH will most likely rise in 2018. Then you can split it between alts you trust.

I would not sell. ETH will grow in price in the coming year at least a 2 times. Leave it to yourself for a long time. Look at other coins for purchase.

Not  all altcoin has a potential to pump like Verge. You may profit today and you will lose later on. Keeping Ethereum is like keeping Bitcoin, you can't go wrong by holding it. In the long run you will realize that keeping Ethereum is a good decision that you would make.

Which is realistic if you are aiming to earn much faster, finding quality project that have good potential to grow quicker will help you to increase your holdings, but if you don't have time to find that quality coins then better to hold your investment and wait for newer updates being provided out from the dev team and expect some increase from time to time.

I'd suggest you try to invest in something based on real business. There are many ICOs offering good possibilities (i personally decided on TeachMePlease, as it has good aims, but there can be more) and a normal venture in the near future. Holding cryptos is ok, but there's no sense to do it as long as you can get something better out of it!

I agree with you, there is one rule for me when invested in the crypto world, do not put all the money in one investment, that is too risky, so split it and invested in different coins is better in my opinion.

I think if you have 1ETH, you better buy coin below $ 1 like XVG, because 1 ETH is very small if to be an investment, but if you buy coin below $ 1 and when the coin is increased, then the profit you earn is much bigger in comparison only invest with 1 ETH

This is true. There are many good altcoins with high potential and you can double or triple your 1 ETH an then bought ETH again.

The price of Ethereum is $725 at a moment and its highly possible that it will achieve the price of $1k in next few months and it can go much higher in long term so the best thing would be to hold your ETH for next couple of years to get best results from it.

Totally agreed. When you buy alt coins, chance of catching a nice pump is very high. I try to buy as much as nice coin as I can in small amounts like 100 usd each by hoping that one of them will make me good amount of money.

i doing that a lot so far now.. im buying lot of cheap tokens for hoping one of them to hit a jackpot. they do some hit some nice values. just try make research before buying the token will saved you from getting lose.

Splitting it is the best way I guess. I'd keep about two thirds of Ethereum and trade another third to smaller altcoins like Ripple, Cardano, IOTA that are growing faster than Bitcoin and Ethereum and are trustworthy.
