I think that long-term are much more profitable than short-term, but, accordingly, the risks in long-term are much higher, because the project can simply cease to exist, and in the short term you can save your deposit.

If you want instant profits then use short-term investments. but the results obtained not as big on the investment in the long term. but all definitely has its own risks.

Many crypto-currencies do not have to be questioned because they take much more long-term gains than short-term ones. So hold it for a long time
Indeed, some of the cryptocurrency is good for a long term. It is more profitable if you just wait than selling it. If you are patient, hold your coins for a long and wait the output it may give you in the future.

How are you handling your portfolio? How much are risking in % of your portfolio in short term gain vs. Long term gain?

50-70% for short term gain and 30-50% for long term gain. It's actually depend on which coin i invest though, if i really confident with the coin i invest, maybe i can go big like 70-90%. If i must to choose i will pick short term, because it's more easier to get profits.

type of people in investing is different. many people including me can't wait to invest in and choose the investment in the short term due to the weaker results are more visible and of course, precious coins used to invest.

I try invest 75% in long term invest because if i do it i choosing the most safe coins and i know it will give me profit.

25% in short term invest to earn some money when i need it

I like the people style who invest in both short term and long term.
I like to do both 2. Short and long term i think have profitable.

I think long term is a set of short term but staying always in short is very expensive in terms of time

I prefer long-term altcoin investment, because it looks more like a result if the price goes up by 2% every month (estimated), so if I wait for 1 year I get (12%) profit is more visible than my long-term investment short-term.

For me long term is an everything that you hold more than week. Short term is like buying on one exchange and selling on another, or buying some coin waiting for the price correction cause it's more expensive on the another-main exchange.

I have different altcoins in my Portofolio and I think that top altcoins should be used for long term investments, altcoins with low capitalization - for short term

I think more profit in long-term investment than short-term, because I personally disadvantaged in short-term investment do not know the other person because I may still have to learn about trading

It varies for me, but at the moment I have about 75% in long term holds, and 25% that I move about for trading. It is all personal preference really, there is no right answer. It depends how much risk you want to take, and how good you are at trading. But even if I am trading, I wouldn't put the full 25% on a low-cap long-shot coin.

very difficult question to answer.its depends on the project and your money urgency.but overall genaral answer is long time holding is the best.specially for solid currencies like bitcoin, etherium , ripple, sia, monero, lite coin and etc you better hold them for long time untill u want some money.if you have some airdroped projects or coins without much reputation or much detais you better sell them once you got enough profit(airdrops are always profit .i mean once you noticed a significant bull run..sell it as soon as possible).because majority of airdrops coins are not well established solid projects.so you can sell them and invest money you got for another good project.this is just a idea.any body cant force you to sell or hold your coins.because you are the owner of your your coins and you can do anything to your coins at any time.mainly its depend on your money urgency.i  shared just my experiance.(keep in mind im a newbie to field and heard about cryptocurrency just 4 months ago )

thank you !

Long term - Bitcoin and Ethereum. Both are perfect assets.
Short term - altcoins like Ripple, Cardano and IOTA that are good for trading and buying something.

Yes thats the best combination of short and long term investment, but theres other people that they have their own idea about long and short term, but me thats the best way of investing or hold.

I also agree with you  Btc and etherium really considered as a long term because they already proven something that deffinitely has a good feedback to someone who already tried it for a long period of time.

If you do not have experience in trading, then you need to keep coins for several months. Only this will bring you profit. Learn to be patient

Good and simple point. I think the lists are good to follow. Those are really some of the best coins around to invest in both long term and short term respectively. However, I would also like to add LTC, sumokoin and Dash on the short term and Waves in the long term. Just to give some more options you can choose to invest in. I think those coins to name a few are the most reliable and the surest you can get good profit from. However, like any venture in the cryptocurrency market, there is no 100% sure way to gain profit because there are so many trends and movements that can affect the market.
