I hold a coin only if I believe it is worth holding long term.
With that precondition, I will do some tradings, trying to sell high and buy low.

I'm doing like you. So that I have the opportunity to sell the coins that are available with minimal damage. Sometimes we really invest in coins that are not for the future, we need to make trade with such coins without losing time. Sometimes it is more profitable to invest in the long term Smiley

If a person is not looking for a quick speculative benefit then he will keep the coins for a long time. Now the market is in decline and there is no sense to sell, so it is better to wait for a more favorable situation to get the maximum profit from investments.

Cryptocurrency is very volatile and unpredictable therefore, I do not hold more than 20% of my fund for long term. The remaining of my fund are in invested on short to medium term basis

the type of people in investment differs. many people, including me, can't wait to invest and choose investments in the short term because of weaker results more noticeable and, of course, the precious coins used for investments.

A long term coins are the foundation of the savings is more advantage to choose because it will provide a higher income and you will gain more..than a short term because the price is not stable or even no value and may not be much of anticipated profit..

i think when you are in beginner in trading. i think its a must to take it short because so many things you need to learn a technicals skills about that. so, long term mindset will enter and you will notice what is the right techniques for making a big profit. for me, i will choose long term. for peace of mind.

How are you handling your portfolio? How much are risking in % of your portfolio in short term gain vs. Long term gain?
Crypto is now out in the open and the dynamics of the game have changed. I think that this will be lat alt season which is upon us now. So this time I will be getting rid of all my short term coins and buying coins which I believe in long term, ethereum classic to name one.

Long term is the method of coin holding for me. I don't like to have coins stored somewhere for a short period.

Having some patience and sticking with some coins you believe have a good future is something that for me anyway took some time to get to grips with, it's easy to get into the quick selling mindset.

It can also depend on how the coin acts, it could be in a a pump phase so whilst also being your long term coin you would be crazy not to take some profit but a solid portfolio would include those coins you view as long term and short term coins.

it depends on the coins you are holding but most of my coins that I get from bounty campaigns they aren't pumping that much so therefore I am holding them for long-term or maybe I will sell them off after a year.
But for some of the altcoins that I am holding, they are pumping really high like Oyster Pearl PRL, Ripple, NEO and Ethereum so they are all for my short-term.
I am going to sell them after few months to fund my projects like building my new house, buying my new car and establish local business in my city.

Long term is the method of coin holding for me. I don't like to have coins stored somewhere for a short period.

The main goal for long-term investment and holdings are to have a chance to earn higher return of investments that could be helpful on our future goals.
So whether the altcoins are pumping high or low then investments for long-term is the best option to choose.
Thanks for my full-time job career that could support my family's basic needs so I could hold my altcoins as long as I want.

Long term - Bitcoin, Ethereum, REBL and NEO. These are best for very long run.
Short term - Ripple, ICX, QTUM and LSK are best in for short term ( for few weeks only )

Long term - Bitcoin and Ethereum. Both are perfect assets.
Short term - altcoins like Ripple, Cardano and IOTA that are good for trading and buying something.

Best solution for everyone
Yes I think it is a common action that everyone is doing .. they must be smart and understand precious coins to take appropriate action to get the right profit for long term and short term .. Wink

Short term is suitable for experienced traders, and those who can successfully predict the change of the cryptocurrency, earn more than on long term

Short-term vs. Long-term Investments: What's the Difference? ... Long-term investments are those vehicles that you intend to hold for more than one year — in fact, you generally intend to hold them for several years. On the other hand, you usually hold short-term investments for one year or less.

Diversify your investments into short term and long term, Don't just put all your eggs on long term. Short term is fine also if you are good in technical analysis. You will learn a lot if you do both. Just Do your own research more. Long term: BTC, ETH, XRP, and NEO.

Almost all of my coin/tokens are long-term, I know, that this strategy is really hard, but I also know, that my profit will be really good in 1-2 years.

I prefer to draw as little as possible, so in my portfolio there are many more coins that I hold for the long term. I would say that day trading for me is still complicated.

everyone will fill up for you coins! if you are ready to wait and believe in certain coins it will be better to buy and wait for your moment! and if you want everything and at once you need to be active in the market, but do not forget that in any case you can lose!

I keep everything on long-term. For me, this is the best investment option. I don't have time to track prices. I know that everything will grow in the long run. This is the case.
