I see the changes in the portfolio through the cryptocompare only 2-3 times per week, because I hold altcoins for a long time.

I look at the price of my coins every day, more than once a day. However, each coin I own i have a plan for. I also plan my investments. I know in advance which coins to buy, how long to hold, what level of profit I want (if it’s a short term hold) so I don’t get carried away with fud or fomo.
Yes like me i've also watch my coins in the Blockfolio so that i can monitor if it's value will go up high or low so that if time that the price must bigger as i have expected, and this is my plan to sell it so that my income will grow.

I usually check the altcoin price twice in a day. Do not check often, It will make your mind to confuse and you will be always in unstable stage.

So the best solution is I always use to check altcoin price in blockfolio app and  fix the target with yourslef, and set the price alert in your blockfolio app.

If the price met your expected amount it will show the alert notification. That time you can sell it.

i watch it every hour.. sometimes minutes..  Grin
I'm always checking altcoin prices every minute. I'm obsessed with cryptocurrency and this is my life but I have a day job to focus with.
In my case if prices goes down I don't look at my coins at all
I can't help myself when the prices are going down I want to keep on viewing those prices but its not going to push me to panic sell.

Definitely true, in my side It is so nice to watch/check your altcoins daily if you see your coin keep rising but now with the correction happening it is heart breaking that your coins are dropping now and still keep so I decided not to watch it every while the market is still bleeding.

Everyday, I watch the price of the coin that I have bought. But sometimes this could cause FUD or FOMO if the coin pump or dump tremendously. I sold my coins when I saw the price go up, but missed out the huger profit.
I think if you watch the price of your coin everyday, it will put pressure on your emotion.
Some people just buy it and don't think about it, which could be good or bad.
What do you think? Do you watch the price everyday? If not, how often do you watch it?
How do you feel before you watch it?
this of course, it all depends on your desire
you can watch every day and control the price
wait for a favorable price, and then sell the coins.
and you can sometimes look at the price of coins,
if you liked the price of the coin, sold the coin and earned.
generally, as you wish, so do.

In fact, this may vary depending on the project you are reviewing but my thoughts are the same as you. examining every day coins can be emotionally damaging and you can make wrong decisions

I do this without stopping even 1 minute. No way to call this off. I know some people don't have any coins, they watch the prices like an addictive as well. Can you imagine this?

I have to do since I have coins.

If you have got several coins in your portfolio, then you should watch the price of these coins daily. Sometimes you have to watch the price several times in a day. It is very important, if you want to invest you have to invest at the right time. Similarly, if you want to sell you have to do it at the right time to get more profit.

When prices were more stable I watched several times a day. When they grew up, I were happy, and when they fell I were upset. Now I check the prices once in about two days, because, given the circumstances, to get upset every day is not very desirable.

Yes I watch my coins price everyday a couple of times but that doesn't mean I trade them. I check out on Coinmarketcap or Blockfolio, if an action is needed I login to exchange. Otherwise I could miss  big opportunities. You should follow your coins all the time. Don't make it an obsession but check out their price 2-3 times a day.

It was my bad  habit when i just came to the cryptoworld and created my own portfolio with 10-15 coins, i downloaded blockfolio and looked up every hour there. Many times i made emotional sales or purchases because of it and this cost me money. So, now i just  use  strategy buy and hold. And i don't sell the coins till they grow up at least to 200 %. And i try don't watch  more  than 1 time per week.

I agree that if you keep your eyes on your portfolio that will mess with your emotions and the huge profits i gained before were because I left my investment without watching for a long time then i come back then i found i earn a lot. Just search a lot and read about your coins before you invest in.

I am a trader and of course, I need to look at the price of my altcoin every day so that I can earn money from trading my coin daily. The more I trade, the more money and experience I will gain. If you are a long term investor, it is not necessary to look at the price every day. You just need to look a the price 1 per week. And there is no risk at all if you make a long-term investment in cryptocurrency. I can ensure with you that the price will always increase annually
