If it looks like bullshit, smells like bullshit, chances are ... its vaporware. 3 mainboards having 6 ASIC chips, each with 32 1GB DDR3 memory, thus totalling to 72 GB RAM
Someone is bad at basic math. 3 x 6 x 32 = 72? Lets assume they meant 3 mainboards with 32 1gb ram, even that comes to 3 x 32 =72? ... Ofcource if each asic chip had 4 gb memory dedicated to it, that would make each mainboard 6 x 4 = 24 and then the total 72gb for 3 mainboards makes sense. But DDR3? Really? What is this 2011? DDR3 would not have nearly enough bandwidth to mine at 1mh/d for the entire thing. Ethereum ASIC chips will enter mass production stage in February 2018 by TSMC’s 28nm process. The F3 miner is expected to hit the market in Q2 or Q3 2018.
TSMC's ground breakin 28nm process node because we are in 2011 again ... ofcource this silicon will be as efficient as the 14nm GPU's in the market ... Also miners expected to hit the market in Q2/Q3 ... when is the tape out? When do the engineering samples roll out? Or are they just going full blown production run? And when is POS? Why would they make an ASIC for a mining algo that is going to remove mining altogether pretty soon?Eth could use this as an excuse to change the al-gore-rhythmonly allowing 10gb gpus to work ie the 1080ti, titan xp +volta. thus tossing the entire bitmain f3 into the shitter puts off pos for years. Huge boost to nvidia. We had to do this to break the bitmain "stranglehold" on coins . Be careful is my motto for now. Meanwhile my omen pc's from hp.com are running nicely I have a third one on the way. maybe late feb. this one will be the 880-160se ORDER CONFIRMED 10:30 AM EST, FEB 10, 2018 SHIPPING DELIVERY OMEN Desktop PC - 880-160se Show customized options 2TB61AV_1 Estimated ship date: Feb 28 It has the i7 8700 in it. not the i5 8400 I also ordered 2 sticks of this ram from newegg. https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231967and I will clone the hdd to a large ssd using this cloner https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01K5WREA6/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s01?so it will have the i7 8700 2 1080ti 32gb ram dvd player 750 watt plat psu 1 tb ssd this puppy will be my development pc and I may finally dump all my apple macmini's. I have so much fucking gear I need to do a big fire sale. I must have 15 mobos 5 pc's I don't need or use.

Why buy a HW cloner when you can do it faster with free SW? https://www.macrium.com/reflectfreeI have used this SW for over a year and love it. I use it to create nightly backup images of all of my Windows PCs to a backup server through the included scheduler. It can also clone any OS disk (including Ubuntu - nvOC) and even Windows Server if you boot from the PE image. If you want to roll out the same image to a bunch of machines, just create an image and then restore it multiple times. Hope this helps.

i think we can keep track with the difficulty level of ETH to see how much is true about the F3, but i do not like what i'm seeing with the difficulty chart of january to february, i hope it's just millions of gpu being deployed, remember the difficulty spike of dash before D3 ? hope they fork the shit outta shitmain.

Lets talk new egg here , seen a few lower priced 580s finnaly , anyone have experince with multiple newegg accounts ?
do they look at the cc and shipping address or just the account if you have say two accounts ? , normally I dont mind buying one every few days
but with the currrent shortage i'd prefer to buy 2 or 3 and then be done with it for a while
Based on my recent experience, they are pretty savvy in determining true double ups by customers. Back in early Jan'18, I ordered a single Asus 1070ti off their website (limit of 1). About 2 hours later I realized they had that same GPU listed on Ebay, so I bought 1 there as well. A few hours later, I got a message saying that the ebay order was cancelled due to exceeding ordering limits. This surprised me because my paypal linked to my ebay has a different email address and payment method than what I used on NewEgg.com. So, they must use an algorithm based on shipping address in order to weed out these types of double up attempts. Based on this, I can really only think of 2 possible ways around it... 1) get a 2nd address like PO Box or something in conjunction with a 2nd newegg acct. Would probably also need to use a different CC to pay but I do wonder if they also have a name check built into their algo. Possibly getting the PO box in a different zip code could work as it seems unlikely their algo could be so advanced to sniff out something like this, but who knows. 2) get a friend to order it and have it shipped to their house. Only problem with this is the timings issue... since at least til now, when GPUs pop up as available they are gone in a few minutes or less. The 570/580 seems to stick for at least a couple of minutes lately but not the 1070ti's.... every time i get a notification and go directly to the site (newegg or amazon) they are gone already, which is baffling since I am there in seconds after getting notified.

On the Newegg topic, All I know is address/name are the tipoffs, I created a new account using my rental property 8 hours away with my name did not work. Different credit card with same name did not work. By the time I got my friend to try and place an order for me they had sold out. My wife also could not order a card to our house with her name and credit card.
What I haven't done is try to use the Canadian site and the American site, to try seperate orders.
I also gave up on trying wasn't worth it, but 11 days in and I have managed to order 4 cards so in another 6 days I should have my 6 GPU's lol. First one arrives tomorrow.
For me the bonus is that I can play around with setting up my first rig 1 card at a time and adding, hopefully by the 6th I've smoothed out the wrinkles.

My cloner was sent free for review purposes. But the info may help others so I gave you a merit point. To those looking for cards 2 rx 580's water cooled prebuilt style 2 evga 1070 hybrids 2 msi 1070 seahawks 1 evga 1070 hybrid ? may be a 1080 hybrid air cooled 1 zotac 1070 mini 1 msi aero 1070 2 other 1070's all under warranty all at good prices i.e. a tiny bit over the retail prices I paid. pm for details

Too much BS in this to make sense, starting with the "using 1GB DDR3" stuff. Also WAY too late for it to pay off unless they make them SUPER cheap and they have a HUGE performance improvement over GPU mining - if it DOES in fact exist. Sounds like someone spreading FUD to me.

I've been hearing "ETH is going PoS!!!" cry since I started mining almost a year ago.. Even IF they do eventually go PoS.. they'll most likely go hybrid at first.. That's already been announced, that they plan to go "1% PoS 99% PoW" at first for testing.

That was my thought at first, then I realized that Bitmain would be competing against the likes of several companies with market caps in the $10B - $200B range and millions - literally millions - of already deployed GPUs. Oh, and you can bet those Bitmain miners will feature their legendary quality... So now I'm thinking this will be the proverbial tempest in a teapot. To be fair, Bitmain qualtity didn't get BAD 'till they went 14nm - the S5 was 28nm and had good reliability. Their quality DID drop some with the S7 and the major increase in power density AND move to "individual tiny heatsinks per chip" though.

DD is even more "free" since it's a standard LINUX utility included in EVERY LINUX version released (to my knowlage) since at least Yggdrasil. It will clone ANYTHING - though cloning a bigger drive to a smaller one will obviously have issues if you have too much data on the bigger drive.

out of stock and all 9 of my gently used 1070's are gone. sold for 500 each plus shipping. I am shrinking the array to 1080ti waterblocks only. I am hoping to get 5 dragonmint miners soon. I will keep the 3 omen pc's at my house. very happy with them so far. I have 2 rx 580 8gb cards about 5-6 weeks old I will sell the pair at 750 to anywhere in the usa and that includes shipping. http://www.diamondmultimediastore.com/diamond-amd-rx580-video-cardthat price is a very small markup for me and far less then their website is selling them for. I have a 2 board s-9 old firmware 1350 some flex in that price. I have a 3 board 12.3th s-9 was asking 2k dropped to 1950 free usa shipping I have flex in price. I have a second 2 board s-9 on hold ------ with the original third board in it maybe it can be repaired.

A word of advice... avoid using those M2 adapters - had an "fiery" experience with my first attempt, literally "smoked" right in front of me, and never tried anymore M2 adapters. The culprit was the power cable that powers the adapter via molex from the PSU. Very poor quality those cables - probably recycled from power cables meant for floppy drives. Given that this M2 slot (which is in fact designed for M2 storage) - these adapters was a workaround to add another PCI slot, likely something did not add up in power requirements, especially when you use cheapo M2 adapters onto reputable branded mobos. I did see some builds in Youtube that works fine, especially the ones with white PCB vs the green ones. For low powered cards, seems that you dont even need to power the M2 adapter, to get the mobo to recognize the GPU.

my m2 adapter was pop then magic smoke all in an instant. I do not recommend them. I do not know how to pretest them so I consider them to be unfit for duty. I decided to keep my rx 580's I have some rx 560's To let go of. I now have 31 or 32 1080ti's Buysolar has 12 1080ti's So that is 43-44 cards 8 are in the omens 18 are water block so those 26 are being kept . We may list a lot of 1080ti's MSTI0M91. MSI VCX GTX 1080 TI Aero 11G OC 11GB GDDR5 352B PCIE DL-DVI-D HDMI DPX2 RTL Asus 1080ti below with arrows I sold the 1070's in the center.
