It does not need to do that at all, ASIC's are specific to a certain algo in regards to hashpower/watt, so no ASIC manufacture can make a ASIC chip that is efficient at all 16, they are vastly different for a reason...
X11 has 11 different algorithms in it, but the original Baikal miner was quite efficient at mining X11 and also high efficiency at mining several of the component algorithms as a "seperate" thing. FAIL logic. So assuming the x16r came out a month ago and bitmain / Baikal want to asic it the timeline may be 4-6 months out at best. But if x16r had a fork ready now and could fork in: 5 months to x20r then fork in 5 months to x24r then fork in 5 months to x28r asics would be fucked I have a feeling you hit the ASIC on its head, this is why Monero devs proposed a hard fork every 6 months. yeah this means those Vegas could end up being very good.

Yep; same, this is reminding me of when people were saying nvidia was garbage yet lyra2 was paying oah soo well..... There's always slumps in any market. The key is having a business plan that accommodates a negative period of business.

I own 24 1080ti's fully paid off even with 1.50 a card on zec it is 36 a day and power is under 12 bucks. so 24 a day profit on paid off gear is okay. but I switched to x16r and I do 3 a card or 72 a day and power is about 12 = 60 a day profit. I hold ½ I sell ½ I keep 4 cards on zec to instantly compare that raven is better or worse. I see a big upside for raven as the cap is only 35 million very easy to pump it. My house is down to 3200 watts of power used. vs 5000-7000 in the winter.

I look at Ravencoin similarly to SIGT. A coin with no real purpose other than to test new hashing algorithm. I instant sell them, but who knows it may moon.
Currently looking at Estonia and Sweden for future expansion, I think it's time to seek lower costs than $0.085/kwh and sufficient internet infrastructure to support RenderToken or Golem. Anyone here based in those 2 countries?

Well on better news, i just finished my first 7 days with my latest bot addition to add to my other 3 bots i currently run... some damn good results for 7 days, i installed it on my Raspberry Pi and just left it alone with 0.25btc to trade with for 7 days... 7 days of trading... 68 trades... 0.044btc profit . . .
That image is super small. How much trading commission did you pay in total? I used to write algo trading in stock markets. In stock market, buying 500 shares of a $100 stock ($50k) costs like $5 comission. In crypto it costs $125... and another $125 to exit the position. Huge negative edge and spreads are large in crypto too. With the coin markets now so volatile ... its actually perfect for bots to roam free because the spread its extraordinary big. Storx -- why don't you clone 100 of those Raspberry Pis and let the army run riot ? Afternotes: I can fund a few of them Pis seeding/capital BTCs and we can share the profits This is actually a double edge subject for me, i have always been into bots... i have never lost a lot of money with them, usually the first 15 or 30 days of owning the bots i typically make my cost of buying the bot back along with a little extra, but it seems to always fall on its face or profits drop to a sludging crawl after that. I swear these companies somehow use the fact you have to communicate with thier servers to verify product key for the bot to continue to function, that they are implementing some sort of scale back on how the bot functions after the honeymoon period of getting your initial investment back... So my plan is to continue to test this bot, i have spent countless hours studying this one before purchase and doing technical analyst on all the pairs its trading to set custom settings for each single pair it uses that i hope this one stays on track after the honeymoon period, in a few days ill have what i payed to purchase it all back in return, so we will see if the profits keep rolling in. In regards to running a bunch of them, the issue with that is your only allowed to run so much traffic on an exchange before they ban your account from trading, its happened in the past.. so i can only do so much, so the real way of doing it would be to run the bot on multiple exchanges, but the issues with that is fees and volume of traffic are the 2 biggest hurdles, currently i have bots running on all 4 of the top volume exchanges, so im kinda tapped out at the moment and running multiple bots on the same exchange account just confuses the heck out of them. If this one continues to pan out like its been i plan to add a few BTC to the account and up its trade amounts per trade over time, just right now im testing the waters and not trying to jump the gun, bots can make you money and they can loose it just as quick. I have test 13 different bots over the past 2 years and so far only 3 of them were stable enough to trust with actual money i am willing to trade with, other bots ive bought they run so random and unstable that you cant trust them or once you load them up with more than a few pairs to trade they get so confused and slow to respond that they just become useless at trading. That is what happen to me with gunbot, its turned into my direct mining conversion bot now, stupid bot does well with like 1-3 pairs, but anything above that the code over time starts logging errors and misses trades, then you get stuck with bags of drowning assets.. just got to bipolar for me to deal with, so now all it does is run 24/7 on cryptopia and bittrex auto exchanging everything i dump into those wallets into btc through its panic sell mode... basically turning it into my own autoexchanging mining pool in a way... Its done ok today, managed 0.00782325btc ($55) of profit in the past few hours trading small amounts, think ima bump up the trade amount a little after this post

About the crypto bridge exchange used for ravencoin, has anyone encountered this issue?
To withdraw BTC requires BTS the exchange's coin.
To buy BTS with BTC requires a small fee, paid in BTS.
Since my initial BTS balance is 0, I cannot buy any BTS as fee can't be paid.
I cannot withdraw any of my coins on that exchange, it's stuck in a catch 22. How did you guys get the first BTS or withdraw your funds?

if you want to send BTS to your account then just specify your username as the BTS deposit address on any external exchange, poloniex for example or other. Or somebody can send you some bts. Usually you get some with new account or at least used to be like that.
Or try that, don't know if it works, go to settings Preferred unit of account change to bitBTC

I have done several BTC transfers from CryptoBridge to my Trezors with no issues.

You dont need BTS to withdraw BTC. Step 1: Sell RVN, get BTC. Do this in exchange tab. Step 2: To transfer BTC to another BTC address, click "Deposit/Withdraw" tab. Step 3: Select BTC from pick list on the left. Step 4: Click Withdraw tab, and Withdraw Now. Step 5: Click Total BTC to populate BTC amount field (assuming you want to send all BTC balance) Step 6: Insert destination BTC address (this BTC address would be auto selected in your next withdrawals) Step 7: Click Confirm and system should pop out another Final Confirm in a few seconds. Note CryptoBridge commissions for transfer in BTC deducted from total transfer (not BTS). Also the final BTC transfer amount. Step 8: Double check outgoing transfer at bottom of screen. Step 9: Go make coffee and chillax. NOTES: BTS appears as house tokens for trading BTC with other coins within the exchange. Think BTS as Binance coins or Ku Coins. If you go to exchange, the have BTC, BTS pairings for trading. Meanwhile, market price improved a bit for RVNs, sold my balance 42k RVNs for 629 sats each... nice.

But will Ravencoin fork if an ASIC does appear for it?

More like late spring, JUST before the flood from Litecoin miners hit when the Gridseeds started getting widely deployed and killed GPU mining on Litecoin (in combination with the Litecoin price collapse).

I just dropped 5500 watts or so a couple days ago - Scrypt mining profitability got low enough I turned off the A2 farm. Still going to be ballpark 10 KW or so on mining + evaps + misc usage though.

Ok.
But this is the first time I see a video showing the F3 miner.
I have not seen this video being available until today.
Prior to shipping dates, Bitmain will crank them up first and mine them surely - just like S9s, L3+s, D3s etc From the video, 3 blades - 43 chips each = 1.5MHs... around maybe three 8xGPU rigs thereabouts. This F3 is a winner from a footprint and cooling aspect - pricing? 10k? Is it published yet? With ETH Casper/POS coming and probably a hint of 1 one more delay, at best 12 months of usage for these miners for ETH. There are many more POW based Dagger coins, so the F3 will likely have a roadmap... even into Bitmain's quest to use this platform for their Deep-learning ASICs ambitions. It will be matter of time, when one F3+++ will be equivalent of half a dozen standard "8xGPU" rigs (for any algo for that matter), because breaking the code to achieve DaggerHashimoto on a chip fused onto hundreds of GBs DDR memory banks, is a feat in itself. Soon... Equihash be broken too? I hope this F3 will bring down GPU prices in general.... but by then will us GPU miners find any PCI based GPU any value vs the smaller, more powerful, efficient powered, massive scaled ASICs to mine the coin of the future?

That a glimpse of how a decentralized exchange looks like. Working on several nodes around the world, it operates on their own blockchain. Sometimes, the platform still lags and needs re-synch but with more adoption, this type of blockchain based trading platform is the real deal of the furture. Binance is also working on something similar.
