You should start selling your altcoin if you didn't even bother to do your own research about the altcoin you are holding. Asking question like that means you didn't do your own diligence to make an investigation on your coin portfolio. Bitcoin is started to be bullish and once it goes up, there is no coming back.

to be honest i also obtain some alts and tokens from an airdrop/bounties and i also dont bother to research their usefullness or effectiveness but i still do hold them because i wasnt in a hurry and a need of money. i do believe that they can increase and pump sooner or later if given an adequate time to improve.

no its not true , bitcoin can still go down once it goes up because bitcoin is a volatile coin, that means it can always fluctuate all the time. All of us can always have a chance to invest and earn in bitcoin because bitcoin can always go down no matter what its current price.

Yes bitcoin will soon reach that value $20k soon , the best way to do is for you to hold your altcoins , wait for the right moment to sell all your altcoins when their value rise high so that you can have more profit from all the altcoins you sell. I think it all depends upon how comfortable enough you are in holding altcoins rather than converting it to bitcoin. If you already have doubts on your altcoin and how ell it works for you, it will be better for you to sell it all rather than your mind is sticking on worries about your altcoins and its fate.

I have my altcoins also but I was not hurry to sell my altcoins. Because as I look at my Kucoin trading site the price value of my altcoins are very slide down which is mark by red. So I was decided to hold my altcoin. I don't loose hope because for me  it is normal situation of cryptos incounter price downfull its a temporay. And I have my strong insights there is a right time to sell my alts.

I would suggest you, divide your coins into two groups. The first group of coin is the coin you trust and you believe that have good potential to grow in the future. While the second one should be the rest coins you have. Keep the coins of your first group. If you have gained profit from some coins of the second group sell them and buy from those of the first group. Keep only those with lower price and wait until you have profit. I got it participating in the airdrop, kept it on my wallet and at some point decided to sell it. A month later the coin made x20. There are those cases, and usually it is, when bitcoin price rises most altcoins lose a big deal of their prices. However, that is not always the case, there were also those instances that it goes with the rising of bitcoin prices, for a number of reasons (e.g. aligned development plan, collaborative approach, number of supporters, etc.). So if you are holding a potentially successful altcoin/s, there is no need to worry how bitcoin may develop or progress.
Consider also asking yourself what was the purpose of joining or obtaining this altcoin, if you really believe in it, then hold it.

I believe there is no need to sell your atcoins if you think and can guarantee that what your holding are potentially successful altcoin. No need to worry what bitcoin does and how it develops in the next few days or months.
One of the main reasons why altcoins lose prices or value is the loss of trust of their supporters and go into panic selling.
Panic selling is the worst one could do.

It is not always the case that when bitcoin price hoes up altcoins prices go the other way - down. In some few notable instances, prices of alts go along with that of bitcoins. Always remember that alts price goes down when community supporters engage into panic selling, they sell out their holdings.
Just have faith in the project your in and hold your coins, its the best way out of it.

Yes, I agree on you, it really needs more patient for you to gain lot in the future. It really needs so much time to hold this for you to have a great profit that you can use to your future needs. You dont need to sell all your alts. Just sell this one by one and make a plan for you to not lose everything you have.

Unquestionably, the price of Bitcoin will increase. I think what you should do with your coins is partly divide them, from the coins that you think will have a potential to grow to the coins that you think will flop the rest of the year. People are panicking again but it's for a different reason and that reason is the speculated massive bull run on btc. Selling it all is very stupid and you are just increasing your loss. Just buy btc with your fiat.
