there is an idea around that might be relevant to our case with hash fast. have you heard about the goxcoin idea? I heard about it on Let's Talk Bitcoin show, and it's regarding the btc that mtgox users have lost, and by creating this coin and distributing it to the verified btc owners according to the mtgox records they would somehow guarantee that any btc that can get recovered whether through private investigations, or class lawsuits against mtgox etc, that those would be fairly distributed to all the customers. I didn't really understand the details how this should work, but they are working on it. I thought it might make sense for us hashfast customers to use the same concept and maybe create a hashfastcoin with the other customers so that lawsuits etc can be useful for all of us. I know that's vauge, but here is the episode you can listen to it and maybe have a better understanding and come up with good ideas that could help us get our money back.. http://letstalkbitcoin.com/e89-goxcoin-and-the-meta-lair/#.UxtXi_l5N2c

That goxcoin idea sounds like gold certificates in a belly up company. I don't think that's any better than where we are now.

I went with a BTC1 share to see where this went.
Having caught up on the thread, I just want this to be settled whether that is mining at a loss or some form of BTC back.
I feel for those who went with substantial shares.

They're lawyering up and using our BTC to pay for it.

Excuse my language but that's really fucked up.

I see your domain has changed, nice e-shop!

Still waiting to here back from Ray.

I was trying to have that section finished by yesterday but didn't get enough time. I'll be working on that part today.

Looks sorted now!

Be nice to have a Neptune and Hashfast sections to shareholders page, even its just a link to the spreadsheets.

Maybe we can scour this story for some insights and steps we can take in recovering something from Hashfast.

Seems that DZ-Coop has a coordinator that is suing them for losses and failure to refund.

Worth reading, plus the links to the BTCT forums Smiley

Well this is a tough choise... IMHO i would go with the refund , because I don't see the full BTC refund happening any time soon , and I wouldn't be surprise if hashfast file for bankrupcy with all the things in their plate right now.

The thing that troubles me is , if we choose the refund, how many days we will have to wait for the check/BTC? they could keep us waiting for months. I guess a private pool for the options should be made.

Well, I have a small update regarding HashFast.

As far as Ray Gallo, that guy hasn't replied to my last 2 emails, not sure if he's busy or what the deal is.

Anyway, I did receive my first e-mail back from HashFast in MONTHS. But it's basically the same proposal as last time:

A. USD Dollars to checking account

or

B. USD equivalent in BTC

I think the equivalent in BTC comes out to ~1/5th of what everyone paid originally.. so I'm not sure what you guys want to do but chances of anything happening with HF are so slim I don't know if this is the best choice now or not.

Thoughts, everyone?  Undecided

Plan for the B Ark!?

B. USD equivalent in BTC  Shocked (we could've maybe hit 1/3 refund if we got it before last week!)

HF replied!!?Huh
I am thinking this is a trade off by HF, quickly trying to see how much refund they can attempt to offer, in an effort to avoid multiple litigation and definite bankruptcy.
If we gear up for the legal battle, and with our chance of nil refund, despite maintaining everlasting hope for the full refund, this might be the best available option.
I am still very unbelieving of their words in general, the refund to BTC via USD sounds like our only active chance...
Perhaps there is a chance to have the BTC equivalent refunded, but are we looking for a 2-3 month or longer haul for any legal processes, which may cause more agony later on.
If they can meet a repayment schedule, I would recommend signing it, but getting a solicitor / legal type to counter sign it, and ask for them to be CC as an observer to all refunds, and ask for a detailed invoice of refund (should show the summary more clearly for all to see.)
This may help if we need to go to court, or if others are still unable to get refunds, and need help getting HF to get them to refund.

If they fail to meet the repayment schedule, we will be forced to return to the courtroom solutions.
Having a witness to the exchange of documents will force them to adhere to their agreement.
If we need to go to court, we will be in better standing, having already sought the refund.

Same here. At this point, anything is better than nothing. I'd just like to close this chapter to the early adopter learning curve w/ something in the til.
