BTW, everyone please welcome our previously Anon. final member of the co-op! They've finally let him out of newbie jail. He may have essentially drew the rookie version of a Royal Flush in a high stakes game. I know I was eyeing 1 or 2 more shares myself after I finished contacting everyone waiting for reserve shares. Thanks again and Welcome Aboard!

From a PM received from someone close to the project (well, closer then you & I), I didn't ask permission to use their name so you can use your imagination as I have several people at HF or related to HF I've attempted to contact on our behalf for various matters related to due diligence and pre-planning:
"i actually don't know what shipping code the units will originate from. not sure they do either as i think they're still deciding who to go with."
So there you go. That's where it stands as far as Shipping Zip Code ATM. No other thread has this info ATM AFAIK.
What could that mean?
This could be an oxymoron but what's the cheapest real estate in the Bay Area? Oakland? If it's there, hopefully they have air filters in place if it's anywhere near Oaksterdam!
UPDATE: Not much of one, just my last contact with John yesterday:

No word from John yet, unfortunately, but our case is still Open. I hope he's ok, as I don't think he's been on the forum all day.
Need to head to bed soon. Ah well, if I ever do coordinate any more GBs directly, hopefully I can handle funds directly by then so we don't have ordering delays. Let's hope HF & John can setup the BTC transfer tomorrow so we can get our order completed.
- A bit of good news: If you missed the HF thread in Custom Hardware earlier today, Simon & co. said they're still on track for late October!
NEW DEVELOPMENT: What do you guys think of the CoinTerra pre-announcement? Is that enough info that there would be majority interest in waiting to see what Cointerra will offer in a day or 2? They're claiming the usual of: "B-b-but ours is better!" If we did decide to wait we could be among the first orders to go out (likely in late November/early Dec) but there's a lot of coins that will be missed, & difficulty will continue to rise, in the delay between HashFast & Cointerra's product launch, even if CT is "cheaper" in Nov/Dec.
- Since we appear to be in a bit of a hold, it's not too late to change our mind, if a majority of co-op members are swayed. Please PM me or post below if you have an opinion on the matter. I'm leaning towards "staying" the course but since we're a co-op, I want to know how you guys feel about it since this was meant to be a HashFast *&* Cointerra GB.
If the majority want to wait for CoinTerra (and our order isn't complete yet) I'll abide with that decision. The default path is "stay the course" if I don't hear strong sentiments WRT Cointerra.
Also, I hope you guys don't mind but I'm offering my Group Buy Escrow coordination services to others (I wouldn't be running/troubleshooting their miners, like ours) for the next couple of weeks to see if there's any interest. Once the miner's ordered & the host facility is squared away, there won't be much for me to do for awhile. I think I see a need for manual escrow service on this particular forum.

Hi,
We noticed that you attempted to initiate a transaction through the Bitcoin Direct Transfer payment system on our website, but didn't complete the transaction.
We discovered a bug in the way our website calculated the exchange rate, and it is now fixed. Our site now correctly uses the MtGox weighted average exchange rate as advertised.
We apologize for this error, and we are in the process of refunding the difference back to the customers that purchased with this payment method during the time when it was in error.
Right now, the weighted average exchange rate is $111.48198 per BTC, and our website correctly uses this rate of exchange. We would love to have your business, and will honor your place in line at the time you first attempted the transaction.
HashFast Team Now it will cost you around (6000$) 53.8203 Bitcoins with shipping. If i have save your some btc, feel free to send me tips

Well, OP had opened a ticket with hashfast asking me to contact them directly to pay for that miner in his account. I'll ask to see if he'll allow me access to his account to pay directly.

PS: Just took a look at the site, and see that no account is required. I've PM'ed OP asking for the shipping details so that I can order directly to his colocation destination.

Just woke up to use the bathroom & made the "mistake" of checking my iPad & saw the updates. Just sent you a PM John. Hopefully, they can migrate or copy over our original ordering data for Case 235. If it's too difficult to retrieve the previous ticket (since my name but your email address was involved), please have them re-do our order for us. Thanks! < -heading back to sleep for a while >

And here we go: http://i286.photobucket.com/albums/ll87/SurfSkateKauai/HashFastBJInvoice-8-18-2013.pngQ is based on payment so even if items were reserved behind us they wouldn't jump ahead unless they paid. Mahalo everyone! We finally did it & I have a small taste of the major stress chip buyers like SebastianJu & zefir must be going through. If you ever make it to Kauai, first round of your alcoholic/non-alcoholic beverage of your choice on me. Count on it. ====== Now, onto a little new co-op related housekeeping: I don't want the co-op to have a single failure point when we're up & running. If something happens to me, we need a co-admin to keep things running & payouts flowing. I propose to give the other co-op member that also has 8 shares admin access to our miner in the unf. event something were to incapacitate me.There's no rush, of course. Please PM me when you can, or voice your concerns publicly, below.

Good to see that the order has been paid BTW, are you going to make a spreadsheet or list of members with their payout addresses like it is in other groupbuys?

Thanks again John! I'm sorry to hear about the family emergency. In the end, family matters most. You can't take BTC or $ with you when you die.
And Adam, yes, I'll be listing that sometime tonight.
Now, I've been protecting the modicum of privacy a couple of members have shown, and I will continue to for the foreseeable future unless these members tell me otherwise. Please give me a little time, I put some things off to try to help facilitate this when HF started running out of stock, simultaneously & frantically trying to get quotes on DCs around the country both near & far from HF & harassing HF staff multiple times & multiple people for the DD info I really needed for colo hosting quotes so I don't lose my shirt on this GB (I'm cutting it close, but I'm fine with that). I was the guy that finally got them to admit via cypherdoc that the durn thing was a mid tower even if my other questions that would be useful for the co-op to know didn't get answered so far.
Also, I put my okole & reputation on the line (again) to try to be a potential GB Escrow Coordinator for this forum, and only this forum to help facilitate GBs & to help make the whole GB process less stressful, and responsive, for coordinators and buyers. So, I was gonna put a lil more meat on dem bones & see if I can reel in someone basically just like me: new here but with a history of creating win/win deals for buyers/sellers, and are willing to put their real life ID, their rep & some BTC and/or BTC-related shares on the line to hold them hostage to good behavior.

Here is a bit of a shameless plug, but I am also running a Group Buy for the CoinTerra units in this thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=277272.0Yes, I am going to try DyslexicZombei out for escrow. In case you were unable to purchase enough shares of DZ's HastFast buy, please stop by and reserve a share or few in my thread. I'm offering 11 GH/s for 1 BTC. Thanks!
