Did you notice I put in the currency volatility protection you mentioned? That was a great point & a great idea that serves miners well. All GBs should use the same volatility protection model that you & I came up with.

yep. BTC seems surprisingly stable recently but still nothing to rely on,  so some provisions are necessary.

I'm going to set aside funds to convert PP to BTC to send to John K. if anyone buys shares on ebay. Group Buy owners will have to pay 6% more on ebay because of their ebay/PP fees.

I normally don't buy BTC for others (esp. via PP!) but since this is a group buy with payouts scheduled for November, they won't see a Satoshi of mining payouts if they try a fraudulent chargeback attempt.

milkbottlec: I highly recommend that you don't get in the habit of sending PayPal money this way, but in this case, if I were to defraud you, you could come right back & trash this thread & the entire buy!   (Then I'd be out the ~$150 or so I've already paid John to set this up & the difference would be taken from my AM shares on collateral) I'll waive the PP fees as long as the payment is set like this: "So & so will receive..." http://www.insulators.info/general/paypal.htm

In this case, & I really don't want to make a habit of it, I'll help you out because if I help you this way, I can keep those ebay shares reserved for 1 or 2 other people and this way we'll get to our goal faster. I'll send you a PM with the wife's ebay/PP email info when I get caught up.

How many shares left? I've given up on my group buy since I look too new here, and it will be hard to sell out all shares in time to purchase one, plus I would be detracting from your shares!

Currently I have an HD 6950 I am trying to sell and two HD 7950 I am going to sell for around 5.5 BTC total.
I have about 2 BTC right now, 1.54 BTC sitting at BTCe, and 16 LTC worth about .45 BTC. In an hour or so, I will plug in my old hard drives to see if I have any forgotten fortune from 2011/2012... If I recall correctly, I have at least .5 BTC in a cold wallet.dat to amount to about 2.5 BTC. I wish I hadn't sold the 28 BTC I had back then for $12/BTC, lol...

I'd like to reserve two shares with it to get my foot in the door even if I am unable to get more by the time you sell out.

If I do about 6-7 shares through the BTC escrow would you do 3-4 through PP and bypass ebay? I can talk to you about this through PM. As a seller on ebay I know the fees are fking ridiculous.

Ok, I sent out a ton of PMs & answered tons of questions. We've been moving quick!

All 4 ebay shares sold out overnight! 20 shares total were reserved since last night!

We have 6 shares available. Hmm, better hurry though, I might just claim a few of those last shares myself. BTW, someone else has reserved more shares then me so they will actually have more voting power then me in voting matters.

These are actually in "soft reserve" for someone that has reserved 1 share & would like the option for the rest if no one beats them to the punch. We need to move quickly to fill those last 6 reservations with BTC buying power behind it. We also need to move quickly on getting our payments to John K. if we want to get our hands on a Batch 1 HashFast. Please see the bottom of the first post for payment instructions to John K. escrow.

I'll provide a list later in the day of the list of reservations and payment status.
