I strongly agree that the bounty hunter should make KYC because to prove the authenticity of each user who will get the results of the bounty, so there is no fraud.
Well i agree with you, to have a kyc for all of the bounty hunters is really okay so the team can know us very well and having a kyc in bounty campaign is advisable to do so all the bounty hunters will show there i dentity on the team.

in the case of kyc for bounty participants I learned is to avoid multiple accounts in terms of proving the fact of integrity to the developer, because in the case of bounty campaigns mostly using multiple accounts in one bounty, so it can prove between a double and a single one.

I think it is okay to go through this usual procedure. It can detect some multi accounts the use of which is not fair to other participants of the Bounty campaign. Smiley Smiley Smiley

I'm really not keen on this idea of KYC, especially as I'm sure many of them are not legit - and handing over your personal information to these guys - it can't be good. I'm also seeing more and more bounties openly displaying hunters email addresses - and again, this is wrong!

I am seeing many bounties not asking for KYC, and then suddenly, in the middle of or sometimes at the end, they ask for KYC - and this really isn't on!

Actually, yes, KYC does cut down the number of people with duplicate accounts and that's good. But I did read someone on here or maybe it was on telegram, that you can apparently buy documentation to submit for KYC for around $50. Not sure how true that is though.

I don´t really understand why do they ask for KYC, I am not a customer and I don´t want to make my identity know for just a  bounty campaign.

So they want to prevent multi-accounts, which is naturally a huge plus! I understand about the loss of my personal data and that the new Internet and the new network should not collect such data about us, but we provide them at least for payment of labor. On normal work, you are also asked for documents for the device.

With this procedure, companies are trying to get rid of bots. These are good intentions, but to be honest, I doubt that this is the way that can help in this task. Now this is a general trend and soon we will be able to assess the efficiency of the KYC.

I do not think it's bad. You have a choice always. To participate or not to participate. I choose the first option.

I also fear KYC validations, not for the KYC itself but because of improper use of information. I fear the misuse of information like selling fake identities with our data.
Now i only participate in ICO bounties that do not ask this kind of information at the beggining of bounty, otherwise i pass.

They have a right to ask for KYC.
They just want to make sure youre not from the countries where ICO is prohibited
so i dont worry about that

I agree with you, I do not understand the discontent of people who say that KYC is not needed or managers are insolent. KYC is necessary and saying that it is not needed, most likely youngsters who can not pass it. Definitely, it is necessary to prove that you are a person and you are an adult, and also a citizen of a not forbidden country!

Perhaps correctly, everyone decides to himself to give information, if the manager or project is normal, you do not need to worry about that your information will be misused.

Great comments in here.  I never saw it from the perspective of how damaging KYC  is the the crypto community.  I for one will never send my info into these types of projects nor will I invest in them.  Great job guys calling out this KYC nonsense.

The only thing that you can do to avoid this, is just to do not join those bounties because you can not pass those KYC. Personally, i can not pass my KYC because i am from New Zealand, that is the main reason

If you don't want to submit for KYC better not to participate on those bounties that requires a KYC. Ask first the bounty manager either in telegram channel if the particular bounty will require a KYC as not to waste all your efforts in the end.

we can't do anything about it if it concerns country regulations or the law has something to do with it. I really don't see any logic behind this move if there's someone who knows, please enlighten me.

If the bounty campaign does not have any special requirements for participants from New Zealand, then why can not you pass the KYC? I think the project does not care who advertises it.
