Lets begin why KYC is needed for an ICO? First of all, there is a law in some countries that doesnt allow ico without kyc. Secondary, all big exchanges ask ico to have kyc done, they dont care if you are inverstor or bounty hunter...

only scammers will ask that kind of information. I have just skipped any airdrop who asks for KYC. Its too risky for a very small amout. I am not going to give them that detail. If they are airdroping why would they need it anyway ?

maybe this is the regulation of bounty organizers to reduce multi account and fraud against campaign. I do agree that KYC should not be mandatory to bounty participants but should be for big time investors in compliance with the Anti-Money Laundering (AML). Although i've seen some ICO's that posted the need of KYC for the bounty participants in the beginning of their campaign. It's a good thing though informing us beforehand, leaving the decision to us (campaigners) if we will still join or not.

this is a real dillema! on the one hand, it can free us from multiaccounting and increase the profits, one the other hand, it will put us under risks.

Bounty programs are asking bounty hunters to do KYC before they are paid for work done . What do you think of this development.

This is bad practice and puts bounty hunters in very bad spot.
In this case i would check what kind of kyc procedure they are implying and if it is managed by kyc company and what reputaion they have, if they want to do it by themselfs ,  would concider passing.

I understand that it is necessary to avoid multiple signatures, but I think that it is useless. Scammers falsified documents and will continue to do so. But honest people have additional problems when registering.

KYC for bounty participants will be very effective to ensure participants are not involved in crime, but this is not good because bounty hounters earn only a small salary and no need for KYC because KYC is only suitable for investors who have big profits.

KYC for bounty hunters is worst thing I've ever met. i don't want to disclose my personal data to strangers. In case of famous managers like Amazix , Tactic and others it is ok, but in most cases it is risky

Obviously shouldn't need to as we're not customers.

I guess it wasn't the inner team who decide to take kyc the bounty hunters. I guess sometimes it was the decision of some not honest manager to get the rewards of those who couldn't comply to the requirements. Simple way of stealing that unnoticed by the public. Why I think like that because supposed it should be announced when the bounty was on the beginning.

This is nonsense! Passing KYC for bounty campaigns is too much! In this way, databases are collected, on which they earn more than the campaign itself.

I think, bounty programs should first announce not after the bounty ended because some dont want to do KYC not because they dont want to be known but because they dont have  ID or anything that KYC is needed. KYC for bounty hunters is really so unnecessary and shouldnt be implemented at all.

This is actually a very good and positive for the development of the bounty program. But I will only think of for security that this we pass is personal data. So we are afraid if they later misused this data, of course, we are experiencing losses. And not necessarily also for projects that use KYC sometimes still not be said of a successful project.

This is going to be unfair and unjust deal especially when it was not spelt out in the bounty campaign rules. If they had included the KYC process before payment in the rules then is quite fair and i believe it will even help them scrap unnecessary payment especially to bots and multiple account holders. I think they should revisit that idea and make some amendments if they really want to implement this.

Actually KYC is  not required for bounty hunters as  there is sale/transaction is involved.
Even if KYC is required from bounty hunters ,it should be informed well before starting of the bounty.Recently Dao Stack, had issue with KYC for bounty hunters, instead of  asking for KYC,they just paid the bounties in ETH  equivalent to bounty tokens at ICO price.Very fair

Although this is done in order to protect the bounty participants, I feel skeptical to sending developers all my passport data.

It is a bad thing like stated in the first post , people will get their identity stolen. I personally refuse to give any identification to any ICO. But that means there will always be people who will do it because they see it as a advantage.

I think KYC for bounty hunters should not be in mandatory application because KYC is usually the requested passport. Not everyone has a passport including me personally. And it's too hard to bounty hunters using KYC.

to be honest, KYC is indispensable to avoid state restricted and multiaccount, KYC is also used in ICO and bounty campaign. but that is very unfortunate KYC is now very much in use for criminal acts such as the scammer
