Mandatory update for Gulden - NLG

Please update gulden to the latest 2.0 codebase at your mining pool, failure to do so will result in your pool not mining blocks in the near future and a loss of income for your miners.

Please review the below 2 links for guide lines on how to update and PoW2 compatibility.

https://github.com/Gulden/gulden-official/blob/master/doc/building.md

https://github.com/Gulden/gulden-official/blob/pow2_testing/mining_documentation/ensuring_pow2_compatibility.md

If you you have any issues updating, contact us, ideally on our slack in #mining

To sign up to our slack you can go to the following link.

https://gulden.com/#join

Gulden Github.
https://github.com/Gulden/gulden-official

Thank you for updating your GuldenD to version 2.0.

NB. However note that upgrading the GuldenD was only half of the upgrade, it is also necessary to make minor modifications to your pool software.
This friday the Gulden network will activate our much awaited PoW² witnessing, and if you have not performed the pool upgrade all of your blocks will be orphaned from the network.
This will lose your miners money and is also damaging to the network.

Therefore:
1) Either perform the ugprade or shut down mining ahead of the friday activation
2) Please confirm with me what you plan to do so that we can keep on top of things
3) Seek help if you have trouble understanding what needs to be done.

Upgrade guide: https://github.com/Gulden/gulden-official/blob/pow2_testing/mining_documentation/ensuring_pow2_compatibility.md
Sample unomp changes: https://github.com/UNOMP/node-merged-pool/compare/master...mjmacleod:master
Sample yiimp changes: https://github.com/tpruvot/yiimp/compare/next...mjmacleod:next
Latest GuldenD: https://github.com/Gulden/gulden-official/releases/tag/v2.0.0.5

If you you have any issues updating, contact us, ideally on our slack in #mining but alternatively via email should you not want to use slack.
To sign up to our slack you can go to the following link.

https://gulden.com/#join

Gulden Github.
https://github.com/Gulden/gulden-official

If you did the above steps already then no need to worry, we expect PoW2 to activate at around 8am UTC.

It is a fixed value as of now. Optimized for L3 cache usage.

I think something may be wrong with Lyra2z on Zergpool.

I spent close to two weeks mining it directly & received around 1/2 the estimate amount each day -- when looking at "24 hour actual" each day it is also about 1/2 the estimate every time I have checked.

I swapped my workers to Blazepool and achieved essentially 2x the reward (meaning I met the estimates) even though their pool is MUCH smaller in terms of hash-rate. Their "24 hour actual" seems to be really close to the estimate every time I have checked.

I suspect that maybe there is an error on which coin within Lyra2z that Zergpool software is selecting to mine.

It is certainly worth investigating since the Lyra2z part of Zergpool is quite large.

Not really good results either with Lyra2z, lyra2v2, and x17, as well as neo giving less than usually.

I would advice to look into equihash192, its profits are even larger than estimated lately for GPUs. OR equihash144 with BTCZ which I will bring in next couple of days.

And we also have Zcoin, which can consume quite some hash, if you can check what is your wallet hash contribution to Zcoin, we found some blocks having good hash before, now it reduced so no blocks for past 4 days.
I will actually set it no autotrade until we gain more hash

UPDATE

1. BitcoinZ was added to  separate mining port. Please use following command line  "miner --algo 144_5 --pers BitcoinZ --server equihash144btcz.mine.zergpool.com --port 2148 --user BTCwallet"

Lets try to hit first block together Smiley

Zcoin may be the culprit -- Blazepool does not have Zcoin.

Did anyone get their payments for mining HTH coin? It states I got paid this morning (July 22, 2018) around 8 am EST USA, but there is no TX number like other payouts. Also, my wallet is still empty 10 hours, later. Any ideas, am I missing something? How do I get in touch with Zergpool for help? HTH coin asked me to see if they updated the Pools wallet, as they just had a fork I believe around July 19th. How do I get my coins?

@Pinpins,
Shouldn't equihash144 we renamed in the API to include coin name?

Why earning is always lower than what they say at Current estimate, 24 hours estimate and Actual estimate?
I always get 20-50% lower than what they say.

Hello Pinpins,
you should set back Verge (XVG) in Lyra2V2 as it's often one of the most profitable coin to mine at the moment...

Hello,

UPDATE
1. There was issue with BTC payment during noon time. All wrong payments were reverted back to balance and will be payed in next payment run. Sorry for inconvenience, some BTC just got stuck on exchange and it was not enough to pay all miners
