Is Telegram the new measure of ICO success?

I am looking how success the ico project by see how much and how popular their social media account, like their media social facebook, twitter, instagram and I am looking for thier telegra channel too. I see how many participant at their telegram account, if there are many participant of their telegram and some of them talking about this ico, I will joined and invest at their ico about $300 to $500.

I think it is a pointer to chances the ICO will be successful but it is only one element of the overall picture. Some of the Telegram groups are bloated with bots and dead accounts there may be 30,000 members in there but only 30 or 40 people actually communicating.

I don't think so because if a coin fails it's Telegram could still be huge even though it's irrelevant.

Telegram is very useful in every ICO because they could instantly answer all informations that will need by the investors. If the ICO could not immediately reply to the investors inquiries then for sure they will lost interest of the projects and force to shift to the other investment. If the coins failed that is because maybe their product is not feasible to the masses but with the agility of telegram they should easily to adjust of what is need to be done to avoid failure.

Well i agree on that it can measures of successful ICO, upon on this knowing the performances of a project if its run according to the community it self. Telegram gives you an update deals to the project and knowing the platforn.

I don't use telegram as a measure of success because there are ICOs who manage to create a hype for their project but end up failing. In Telegram, I pay attention to the responsiveness of admins. For me that is an indication of team engagement with the project and less likely to be a scam

Telegram is just a platform where ICO are discussed, you notice that the ICOs through their managers form groups where the ICO issues are discussed. It totally has nothing to do with the success of the ICO, its just another form of campaign

Yes, it can be one of the parameters to determine credibility. But not certainty, it is also a target for a scam project. A recent example is the Crest nium project. Telegram power reaches more than 70k  but we only hear the disappointed news.

I believe that Telegram is a tool that allows investors to communicate with developers without intermediaries. Telegram allows you to quickly get the necessary information about the project and more. But despite all the advantages, Telegram cannot guarantee the success of ICO. Therefore, it should be used only as a source of additional information.

I always do the same: check telegram group first, though I understand that it might be more logical to go to team members' profiles in social media.
and especially in LinkedIn.
You shouldn't forget that the activity in telegram chats can easily be fake, created by bounty hunters who pretend to be real investors just to get a reward, so it is just nothing different from regular paid comments anywhere in the Internet.

From my point of view. Your statements, not 100% correct. Sometimes in telegram group, we can discuss more deeply the project.
Both investors and the team can talk each other, sharing their opinions for mutual benefit.

Be frank here, telegram member can be bought, even if you start a telegram bounty campaign you can easily adds the number into your telegram group so signifcantly that it will be so crowded.
Therefore, the number of telegram member doesn't necesarily the factor of determining a success ICO, instead, how intense the investors asking to the dev, it can be a good indicator.

Not really, i saw Telegram from 20k member fails to get the hard cap, where with only 4k member some ICO had success. So it's not the number, it's how you advertise, what product you have and who is running the company, lots of factors.

telegram is one of the community, activity  community is an important factor to be a successful ico, but i will also see the number of  slack and twitter ,they are also important to judge the community.

It is a hard question, especially after the events in Russia which soon probbaly will to a block for its citizens. And that's not the first time it happened. Iran and couple more countries did something like that.

Maybe yes because me too are using that strategy that if there ae a lot of members in an ico telegram then that campaign is gonna be successful maybe because there are a lot of people are joining so that campaign is famous but i do not really know it is just my friends what have told me because he said that if i do not know what campaign to join them i must check their telegram and if they have a lot of members then that is gonna be a great campaign and there is no reaults yet because i am on going

Telegrams are very convenient for community communication on crypto projects, all important news, for example exchange of tokens and others, I learn from the channel of telegrams in the pinned message.

Telegram seems many times to be a place for people to complain and spread fud in my opinion. Unfortunately many ICO's have decided this is there first choice of communication. I for one hope these companies will soon find a more productive forum.
