This ico have really large hard cap and with many crypto investors, it rediculous. But many news show that they have raise 1.7m dollars with private sale and the only problem is the laws. I think if this ico success, crypto industry will become big like forest, stock  |

there are so many ICOs doing Telegram bounties, technically an ICO could be a complete scam but still have thousands of users in Telegram,
so measuring success by Telegram presence is not too good!

There's this psychology that controls the crypto space. Everyone believes that the higher the number of telegram users in a given project, the more successful the project is likely to turn out. But I beg to refuse this assertion as I have seen groups with less than 2k telegram members pulling weight in their ICO success and standing out too in the market. Example the Blue community. Even without an ICO, low number of telegram members, they were able to achieve $2 token price after a short period of time in the market. To me, I will say that a projects usecase and development and community and Roadmap does the magic not high number of airdrop or bounty hunters filling up a group.

It is not the basis of an ICO to success. Majority of its members are just payed by the team to join telegram. There are many ICO that is successful abut only few members in their official telegram. |

I am sure that the ICO will be successful. Pavel Durov is a man who created a social network of VК and telegrams.
(VК is probably more popular social network than Facebook in Eastern Europe and Central Asia.)
There are big expectations that the crypto currency will also be popular.

Telegram is a major determinant of a successful ICO. It's the community that makes a project what it is and if they have a very large number of supporters, there's nothing the project can't achieve. The higher the number the more successful and more money raised. But it's not always the case some low group participants always make their hardcap target.

I don't think so because now when you visit some of these telegram groups what you found there are bots and no real conversation talking place of the platform, what really helped Telegram is the issue of people getting scammed on slack channels using the vulnerabiltty in the slack bot, since the slack team didn't work on this fast, developers start moving to another platform

Not anymore as it will be banned in Russia lol. I expect that a lot of users will be lost.
In Russia, a lot of things have been banned, but still continue to be used. They will find a way around the prohibition and Telegram will continue to be used. Some users will leave, but not so many as you expect. |

Yes it's one of the most important criteria for me to select and ICO. But there're some points that should be checked before taking the final decision.
- check if ICO is having a bounty campaign or referral programm and estimate the number of bounty participants by checking the spreadsheets
- check if ICO is having an airdrop
- check the activity of the users in the main telegram group.
So if and ICO doesn't have bounty or airdrop and they have more than 10k users, than it definitely worth paying attention to this ICO.

Telegram definitely has its weight, but it's very simple to get subscribers into it now. It shows the popularity of the project and no more. As well as this shows the amount of bounty viewing.

I think actually Telegram is a measure of success.There are too many people in the telegram from the projects that are airdropped.I think you need to be careful.
Of course, this is a good platform for communication, it is convenient and completely satisfies all requirements.

What I think is that telegram is a means of communication between investors and the team. But sometimes big telegram group do make a project become successful. Because they have larger number of investors.

telegram is a convenient source of quick information and communication. but I do not think it is a measure of the success of the ICO. Yes,you can tell if it has a lot of participants is a good indicator. but not so much that only he evaluate the ICO

Telegram-it a good way of attracting investors as it is simple in use and you can communicate with managers at once. It the same as other social media platform which you can use for communication and advertizing. It is simple, you can just appoint someone who can always be near immediately to answer questions

I think it is one measure of the success of a project and I consider this factor before I invest in any ICO . However, I have seen some Telegram groups of ICOs with few participants blow up all of a sudden. I think Telegram and other social media participation should be one of the criteria in choosing an ICO but not the only criteria.
