Telegram is the easiest for companies to communicate with their prospect than other social media platforms

I do look at the number of people in their telegram chat but I also look how active the chat or it is just full of bots, it's not rare to find a project with lot's of telegram member but the chat is only every x hour. A real telegram group is the one that full of people chatting about the project, and I also look at the quality of discussion. If you look at trx telegram, it is full of delusional people and I hate project like that.

No telegram is not a measure to a good ICO. It is only a full of promises from the airdrop campaign who stay in telegram for the token in exchange. Before i was about to reply this thread and i was having an idea that the telegram is one of the measures to a successful ICO and now my mind has changed. As  i take my days in here in the forum i learn a lot from the inputs of the experience people from their comment in the thread. I am glad to read all of those inputs .

I don't think telegram would be a measure of ICO success because not all members in the groups are active. Mostly just join the group as requirements to qualify for an airdrop. Then members will visit again during the token distribution. To complain if  they did  not receive the token or to check when token listing in exchange.

I agree that the size of the Telegram community affects ICO success. More exposure to potential investors and presence to a massive audience are the effects of having a high number of members in a Telegram group.

According to many website, telegram is a major determinant of a successful ICO. It's the community that makes a project what it is and if they have a very large number of supporters, there's nothing the project can't achieve. The higher the number the more successful, the more money raise. For my opinion, telegram is an important one, however it's not the only criteria to decide whether the project is potential or not. Telegram is just a social media that give community information and I believe that a successful project is depending on solid team.

I don't believe the telegram can play a major role in a crypto developing. It's just a social media resource. If there's wouldn't be telegram something for sure would be instead.

An ICO can always run a telegram campaign so people will join but in reality only few of them are active.
But, based on my observation, those ICO with a good number of telegram members are successful, so maybe it could be a good basis but we
have to do further research also as not this trend will succeed all the time.

Yes I think telegram can also be used as a benchmark of the success of an ICO. I think FB is now slowly already losing popularity (probably related to data theft). Through telegram we can monitor the activity of a community because I think the liveliness of the community will also facilitate and make a coin / tokens survive.

I think it is wrong to judge the quality of the project by the number of telegraph members only. Even if a bad project can get a large number of advocates through promotion, this has a certain effect, but it is not absolute.

unfortunately telegram is always overrated for ico.
of course it's a good way to reach all users quickly but in my opinion the forum shouldn't have to suffer from it here. it currently does but again and again because infos can only be found in telegram.

Been seeing projects' Telegram groups blow up and I think that's an attribute of success. Personally, when I find a project, I do judge them by their social media presence. How active a telegram channel does say a lot with their demand.

With the rise of groups exceeding Telegram's 50k member cap...what do you guys think?

I think Telegram can also contribute for the success of the ICO because Telegram can build a huge and active community that supports the project on which the team and investors are easily communicated by each other. But, We should not depend on the telegram number of followers always because it is important to always look for the project and the development team of it because it helps the ICO alot to become successful.

The best measure of ICO's success is a ready-made innovative product that improves public welfare. Telegram is just an application that helps to achieve this success.

Telegram is not the main point to become the ICO success, but it is the one of a good measure for ICO project because through this we can communicate to all members, investor and the official board of the project.

I always consider telegram group as one of factors that affect project success because telegram group represent the community that will support the project. But you should check whether the member in the group is real or they are just bot to boost the number. A real telgram group will have a lot of discussion even if the topic isn't revolve around the project.

I tend to consider the size of project telegram group not as an indicator of success but as some necessary component of well-run ICO that expects to attract investor interest and reach hard cap. Actually, it is not only about size but also about quality of community, i.e. a project should have active community with many loyal members.

It can be a measure of marketing success but not an entire project's success. That still rests on the hands of the founders and programmers of the team.

Such ambitious ICO is aimed at financing the development of the Telegram Open Network. Tokens will allow to make cheap payments in real time and eventually become the basis of a single platform for decentralized identification, storage, and so on.
But it can be noted that the alpha version of the future project is not ready yet. In addition, the principles of encryption are questioned by experts who are concerned about vulnerabilities in its technologies.
