It all depends on the token. Some altcoins (good projects) need to be kept. In a year or two, these tokens can surprise you with a high price. Other altcoins are only suitable for trading (if you hold them, you can lose all your investments).

I've been through with the same situation you had. It's hard to choose wether to hold or sell your tokens. But in this case of each value now adays are still going down and up. You should sell it, if you knew that the value of tokens are going dump. It's useless if you don't move it for the time it still have lists in other market.

Just wait for a few day before you sell you alt. The best move right now is to monitor the price gap depreciation before you decide to sell your alt. If you see the value of your alt is continuously decreasing i think it's time to decide but think of it before you do sell and calculate first if your profit and investment not loss. If you think you continuously losing your profit and capital i think its time you to decide if have no chance to increase the value of your alt. But if you feel that have a chance to increase again the value of your alt, why you don't try to hold your alt to gain profit simultaneously.
My advice would only be applicable depending on the current market situation. If the market is in good condition where prices are high enough for you to become profitable then it could be the right time to sell. And whenever it gets down, hold and just wait until it recovers again. |

Unless you are a professional day trader (and if you are, I am sure there are better ways to spend your time than reading about what you already know), your gains will probably be greater if you buy and hold some of the more “traditional” coins in the Crypto space for a relatively long time horrizon (between 2 and 5 years).

I should hold it first. All of my bounties will be held into my wallet and wait for them to increase as high as ICO price. Which is my reference to sell them. Hodl is the best option to increase the value of your tokens. So, we might hodl them first.

It depend on your target. I think you should creat target when buy any token/coin. The market change every time, so you can use DCA to buy to decrease the risk. As me, i buy 30% my balance acc to buy some alt that i like (researched) on some day ago. I will sell them when the price is x2

Hold your coins, if you sell your coins out of panic and then you start watching the prices go back up if would make you feel a lot of regret. Better safe than sorry, hold your coins, be patient and wait for the prices of the coins to go back up. That way you know that when you sell you will be selling at a high price for good profit

In my opinion If you buy any atcoins it is better to hold it. Or change it to differents from top-20 and then hold.

Should we hold on to altcoins which we have invested and see the price dropping every moment or it will be better to sell them and buy it again when the value pumps ? I have already lost a good margin of profit with the ripple I don't want to make the same mistake with the Lumens which I Hold so should I hold on or sell out ?
Hold only those that are promising. Obviously, it would be a more effective way to buy during the downfall than to invest as the market rises. At this moment, many investors are losing profit since the market is continuously falling. But once it starts to recover, huge profit will be again earned, so there's really nothing to be worried of. |

Certainly yes, for now its good to hold first your coins, its better also to have this opportunity to invest. These things will cryptocurrency business to grow. I hold my altcoins for now, especially in this moment when most of altcoins are recovering from previous price dump. It will pick back up as it always does in the crypto market. I'm sure you'll get a good price and make a profit if you just wait for the price to go back up!
