Is 2018 the downfall of bitcoin?

*Newbie Here!* Because of fluctuations in the value of bitcoin, is 2018 going to be the biggest downfall of bitcoin? What do you think?

If you check the history of Bitcoin you will see the same patterns. Cryptocurrencies market is volatile. So because of that you cannot say that 2018 will be the biggest downfall. Bitcoin has seen massive dumps in the history before. Until summer we can even see  $50.000 levels. There was a correction and it has ended.

I saw the forecast that 50k $ should reach the end of the 2018 role to be another record. Today, the price is something stable +/- $ 1000.

Such corrections are normal. We will have bitcoin resume back to its normal price in few weeks. Today's rate seems to be coming back to its old price. This is the correct time to buy bitcoin and other crytpo currencies as the values are so low. Investors have started looking into the prices investing into diffrent cryptocoins. This would make the coins value boom in few days as like earlier days.

We cannot say if this year is the downfall of bitcoin. Maybe but i don't think that bitcoin will fall down easily. I am sure that we all want bitcoin to rise again from a big drop.

The value of Bitcoin is dropping for its value is dependent upon the quantity of demand and supply, the amount of investments made through the number of people participating in Bitcoin. In the past years, it has been a "rollercoaster" journey of Bitcoin, there are moments that it goes up rapidly and also go down quickly depending on the demand of supply of people in the market.

It is too early to assume that 2018 would be the downfall of Bitcoin given that it is only the first month of the year and holidays just came and ended last month.

i don't think so. bitcoin will improve the speed of the transaction and it will become more popular in the world.

yes I agree with you and I also think that the year 2018 is the year the currency crypto to become more popular, because from time to time the bitcoin currency is higher value and it is a sign that the currency is increasingly in demand by people throughout the country

Fluctuation is normal in BTC, since the very beginning of crypto they have been to and fro every time. This is their "natural way", somehow. I believe BTC is not only not going to disappear but to become something bigger than what it is now. I believe 2018 is going to be the year where you will be able to buy lot of stuff with crypto, in Amazon, for instance.
So, no, I don´t think there is any possible way to leads to BTC disappearance.

Probably not.Bitcoin being a decentralized currency has huge fluctuations and it has already occurred many times in the history of bitcoin . actually bitcoin price has raised very high recently due to future contracts being issued by companies which was mainly responsible for the ATH price of 20,000 dollars.Thats why, it seems that bitcoin has faced a high downfall.

No. I think by the end of the year of 2018, the value of bitcoin will goes up again. This is not new to the people who is using bitcoin many years and they study how the bitcoin flows. But for those who are still holding a bitcoin, dont do a panic selling because you will loose a lot of your investment and never retrieved it.

I think it's just a moment of fall ... If you can see the price goes down, then it goes back just as fast. It is not a definitive collapse.

i dont see as to why bitcoin should crash (as in worthless shit and the total downfall of it)
i mean the crazy market growth has always been followed up by extreme but still healthy market corrections.
and its a fact that blockchain technology has proven to be revolutionary calling to and also solving a lot of
the problems a lot of people have been seeing. and because btc is the godfather of all cryptos and the limited supply
will in a few years imo rise like craaazy with the market cap and general crypto growth since all other coins prices are heavily tied
to btc

Bitcoin price fluctuates all the time. From time to time there's a correction which is normal for the market. And then the price increases again. Just look at the charts from previous years. That's why bitcoin will not downfall.

Yes, Bitcoin’s value isn’t that stable all the time. 2018 just started and I don’t see that this year would be Bitcoin’s downfall, like the previous years, Bitcoin’s price increases every end of the year. Also, the are some preditctions that at the end of the 2018, Bitcoin’s price would go up to $100,000

I dont think 2018 will be a downfall for bitcoin, I think it will still go to 40K, Right at this time its just a bad patch for it, once it clears it will start rising again.

Why'd you say that 2018 is bitcoin's downfall? Because it dropped in price? Bitcoin's price has been hugely fluctuating in price since forever; and price doesn't determine the success of bitcoin. Lightning network isn't even being currently used besides for testing, so I'd say bitcoin is just getting started.

yes i hope what you say is true. but I started a little panicked, the more the market price declined. especially in my country have been banned using bitcoin.

Yeah usually this is the norm in a market place were price go down in the start of year,The mempool is getting empty, fees are getting low again, Lightning network is around the corner. I couldn't be more optimistic.Right now value is unpredictable, but soon it will be at its peak again.

i never think that would be happen,in the past year bitcoin is really have the good price ever but in this year 2018,it has the greatest price hike and if you love bitcoin you have your trust in it,and never think that bitcoin will be falling down.

of course it's true This year's bitcoin price reduction will not eliminate or be the least bitcoin value in crypto. I think this is only temporary, if we invest in bitcoin at this time we need just patience to wait when the bitcoin value will be high again.

Market correction should happen yearly once because without those it can't even reach to another milestone. So people who are in for more than 2 years they will easily understand these correction. Market correction makes price to increase even better.

It just a first month of the year, only speculation we have about the crypto currency.

And if the crashing of bitcoin is the topic I think NO cause it will stay and stay in our market because of benefits to the user. Even it is good or bad. Be smart, if you think that it is dumping Hold and wait the right time for the better price. It will recover and recover in the future because of popularity now in some countries.

You are right, bitcoin become popular in some countries now but also bitcoin started to ban by some large countries. So we cannot be sure if bitcoin price will continue to down or will go up again after february. If we will base on graphs and previous trends of bitcoin price what is happening now is normal, but I am hoping that btc price will recover in february or march.

Don't worry. Bitcoin is "the mother of Crypto". If the price of bitcoin falls continously, it will influence the other crypto. So, it's impossible I think. Bitcoin will rise again. We need to be patient.
