no. 2018 is not the fall of bitcoin prices. a few years ago, bitcoin is not what it is now. indeed bitcoin will experience an increase and decrease to be dititik safe. let's wait, stable bitcoin in 2018

The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

Nope because as we can see in its graph for the past few years, bitcoin was really falling but still it managed to get back and even come up with a higher value. So I suggest you to not worry mate. It is only natural for the bitcoin to decrease its value to give some time for the investors to buy it and invest in it.

Start of this year is definitely not very good for bitcoin.
Korea, China, France decided to restrict bitcoin turnover. Futures contracts, which is new to bitcoin, also correct it's value.

It's an old news every new year there are always predictions that "this will be the downfall" of bitcoin.
Errrr I don't think that's even possible with the popularity and trust bitcoin earned to this present day.
Every year there will will positive speculation regarding the growth of bitcoin. But, at times the growth won't be taking place as predicted leading to massive drop. One such huge drop is the one that we experienced recently. This will further move forward to grow as the adoption keeps increasing.

I don't believe that will be the case. Although Bitcoin is now more inconvenient to use than other currencies such as Litecoin, I believe Bitcoin will continue to be used as a primary currency to store value and to trade pairs because of how synonymous 'Bitcoin' has become with 'Cryptocurrency' in mainstream media. Whenever you begin talking about cryptocurrency, the laymen will say 'oh like bitcoin?' in the same way that we say 'Google' when referring to searching for a term online.

Due to this, I believe a majority of new crypto users will flock to Bitcoin first before venturing out (if they ever do) and due to this, their will be sustained demand for Bitcoin in the long run, even without the Lightning Network.

I dont think so, if we look back at BTC charts a few years ago, it's noticeable that it usually fluctuates at the beginning of the year.

Probably this is the effect of holiday seasons all over the world, people tend to convert their BTC into their respective fiat money to buy valuables or services in establishments that doesn't accept BTC yet.

But in the past year, BTC gained so much popularity that it caught the eyes of the government and banks all over the world.

BTC will continue to be popularize and maybe in the near future banks and establishments will start to accept BTC as mode of payment to most commodities. If that happens, such fluctuations will be minimized or eliminated.

2018 has the most oppurtunities for BTC, so we cant say that its the downfall of BTC, its just getting started.

I would suggest that you check the historical price of bitcoin dating back maybe 2 years or so and you will see that it is common for BTC to fluctuate. Given that it goes down dramatically if there is FUD like banning or regulations being implemented. Vice versa when there is good news. But as the saying goes, nobody can tell what 2018 holds for BTC. What we need is faith in the technology and patience.

In YourBlock2018 new year, bitcoin fell to the new year. Some people say, bitcoin is the rich's gambling game, whose financial resources are strong, who will last, who will win. But in the eyes of the ordinary people, this is just a boom bubble of false big space, which will break in the morning and evening.

I don’t think so. But we can’t predict if this year will be the down fall of bitcoin. If looked back the charts of 2017, it’s very impressive although we can expect that the bitcoin market will be profitable. The bitcoin price correction have been reached and it’s hardly to fall down again.

*Newbie Here!* Because of fluctuations in the value of bitcoin, is 2018 going to be the biggest downfall of bitcoin? What do you think?
not just 2018 the other year the price down too like 2017 or 2016. that year on the early year the bitcoin price always go down so my speculation is after this january and february the bitcoin price will skyrocket again so just wait and buy more if you had some left money.

*Newbie Here!* Because of fluctuations in the value of bitcoin, is 2018 going to be the biggest downfall of bitcoin? What do you think?

Biggest downfall? Not even close Cheesy Do you know that in 2014, few months after the pump to $1300, Bitcoin had a brief crash to $100? Yeah that was a crash of over than 90%. The correction we had now is not even close to that figure. So to answer your question: NO. 2018 won't be the biggest downfall of Bitcoin. Worst case scenario, Bitcoin maintained at this price level year long. Best case scenario, Bitcoin goes to $1M Cheesy

Not really, bitcoin is always a huge success for the world of crypto around us.
Bitcoin price is dramatically increases or decreses, So on the basis of price it is very hard to say that downfall of bitcoin begins,
but banning or regulations of laws towards bitcoin can be the reason for its actual downfall.

I don't think bitcoin is going to die because it's going down a lot.
This has happened many times in the course of bitcoin development.
We need not panic, we should wait patiently.

I think bitcoin may go down for a period of time but it will go up again this year. Judging history, bitcoin had always comes back to its feet even though there are many altcoins circulating in the present.

Bitcoin made so much hype last year. And bitcoin became unstable because of it. This year bitcoin's correction may take a while to settle down before another hype emerge. This is a great opportunity to acquire more bitcoins before it goes wild again.

I don't think bitcoin will collapse in 2018.
The current decline is only temporary.
I believe bitcoin will soon return to normal.
