*Newbie Here!* Because of fluctuations in the value of bitcoin, is 2018 going to be the biggest downfall of bitcoin? What do you think?

I don't think so, look at the past price of bitcoin. If people would consider 2018 as the downfall of bitcoin price because it went down from $20,000 to $11,000, you should say that bitcoin's downfall was last 2017 or 2016. Bitcoin started with just less than a dollar as it's cost. It usually happens every beginning of the year, and recovers after a few months.
Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

I would suggest that you check the historical price of bitcoin dating back maybe 2 years or so and you will see that it is common for BTC to fluctuate. Given that it goes down dramatically if there is FUD like banning or regulations being implemented. Vice versa when there is good news. But as the saying goes, nobody can tell what 2018 holds for BTC. What we need is faith in the technology and patience.
I dont think 2018 will be the end of bitcoin, bitcoin is under target that's for sure, tthat's why th bankers are trying to push ripple to try to make bitcoin fal, but i dont think it will happen

I don't think along these lines, this is an exceptionally potential market and I figure it will develop to an ever increasing extent, and it will spread internationally, not only one nation. On the off chance that bitcoin truly crumples then I think just happens when the web does not show up on the planet any longer.

At least it will not be an outright fall, bitcoin will not lose 100% of the value it has won, probably if it has some restrictions this year or will have to adapt to the laws to be able to move freely

In contrary to what you are saying, this year 2018 we'll see bitcoin price skyrocket to the moon. At least, that's what analyst Kay Van-Petersen believe. And i intend to depend on her because surely she knows what she is saying. She added, "bitcoin will be driven by a larger uptake of institutional investors involved in the cryptocurrency market and legitimize it". We might be right in our guesses, our predictions but the only sure thing is that volatility will remain high.

I think that is very difficult to happen. Because bitcoin is still growing very well in the cryptocurrency market. It is easy to see that Bitcoin's appeal comes from the fact that prices are rising too fast and that some countries have allowed the Bitcoin conversion through cash. But in fact, this currency is not covered by any country or commodity and is only traded on Bitcoin floors in the world. Although some countries recognize Bitcoin only recognize bitcoin as a trading currency, not a real currency like other currencies, Bitcoin investors often face certain risks when delivered trading on the internet. Please consider before investing do not listen to someone recommended you buy without researching and analyzing it.

Nah. It is normal for bitcoin to fluctuate even in the past years. When new regulations are implemented, hacking etc, it is normal for its price to decrease. But bitcoin will bounce back as it has proven in the past years. Just believe in bitcoin and the technology behind it.

Yes, speculation of traders and big investors, as well as the issue of legality greatly affects bitcoin prices. There's nothing to be afraid of when prices go down, just hold it and last longer. When things get better then prices will rise again.
Many investment experts predict that bitcoin prices will be higher in 2018, some say over $ 20,000

Judging from past records indicates that the price of bitcoin usually go dip in January and ended up higher than the highest price of the previous year and history will always repeat itself, presently the price of bitcoin has been facing challenges  from FUDs coming from some  Asians countries government regulating some exchanges I belief bitcoin is coming out unscathed and stronger  later in 2018

FUDs are the real reason why the price of bitcoin is going down but i think that we should take advantage of the FUD and grab a lot of bitcoins for long term investment because once the FUDs are gone then in my opinion, we will not see this price again because we will not touch this price again since the price will shoot up very high and stabilize there.

The mere decreased in value of bitcoin is not enough reason for the downfall of bitcoin. It just that bitcoin fluctuates abnormally because of its high volatility... If we look on the graph for the past few years it just normal that it is experiencing decrease in value for this month, and again will experience an increase value in the coming months as prediction said...

I do not understand why you say taht 2018 is bitcoin's downfall. If you just saw bitcoin's price declines, it's irresponsible to assume that bitcoin will die. In fact, these are the normal price fluctuations of bitcoin. Bit Now more and more people concerned about the currency, that bitcoin is in development stage, you need to be patient.

No way for me. I think 2018 will be the start of bitcoin innovations and mass-adoption into merchants/comapnies. The main technology here would be the blockchain. It should be implemented into any security related services to better it.

Nope. You don't know bitcoin yet. It's highly volatile and it loves surprising people. One day it will be so low and panic selling is evident everywhere and then one day it will be so high that people cannot afford it. It's just the beginning of the year, there's more to this year.

Given the current drama in cryptocurrency world, i think there's a great possibility that this year could be it's downfall. Yes we can say that bitcoin has gone through a lot to die but that's because bitcoin wasn't as popular as it is now. Bitcoin has caught the attention of the government; people that can curb its price if they wanted to. Pretty much whats happening to it currently. Getting banned from diferent country.
