Last month we were hoping for 10k by end of December, now a month later the price of 12k is considered the downfall of Bitcoin. Ok.

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

Why'd you say that 2018 is bitcoin's downfall? Because it dropped in price? Bitcoin's price has been hugely fluctuating in price since forever; and price doesn't determine the success of bitcoin. Lightning network isn't even being currently used besides for testing, so I'd say bitcoin is just getting started.

Bitcoin is only getting started and is becoming bigger nd bigger. It is a great time to take this opportunity to get ahead of everyone else while there is still time. You wouldnt want to waste opportunity as big as this

It all depends on whether bitcoin can solve it's scaling problems and clear the mempool.

The good news is that segwit use has jumped from 10% in December to 19% now. See

https://twitter.com/verretor/status/954914110327676928

And lo and behold the mempool is clearing. I'd advise people to wait till it has entirely cleared before they do their transactions, and they should be able to send with low fees.

I don't think that you can call 2018 as the downfall of Bitcoin. The price will increase till the end of 2018. I think it will be around 20,000 $ at the end of 2018. So let's keep on investing and trading!

The first thing that we need to understand is that the success of the cryptocurrency market depends on the number of the investors that are willing to push the boundaries of using blockchain technology, as of today bitcoin is the most expensive and popular digital currency to ever dominate the market, but still we don't own everything and we would never know the thinking of everyone so still there was no assurance of everything.
so true. bitcoin can grow because of investors who help the growth of bitcoin prices. and this is definitely engraved in the history of the most successful unrivaled investment. many young billionaires grown from bitcoin. I also feel lucky to know bitcoin

You do not even need to clarify that you are a newbie in here, because we all can smell that.
*Newbie Here!* Because of fluctuations in the value of bitcoin, is 2018 going to be the biggest downfall of bitcoin? What do you think?
Why all the newbies in here are just creating non sense threads?

This dip is just temporary, it will end just like all the other dips, just have some patience.

Despite the falls that Bitcoin has had, it will remain the market leader in 2018. It will also be a roller coaster. "Bitcoin has such magnificent effects on the network that I do not see another altcoin that is better for payments" or some other function at this time, said Lex Sokolin, global independent director of strategy fintech.

in my view the biggest crash for bitcoin was happened several years ago when the price dropped to $300 below and indeed if we look at the previous situations that while entering to the new year the price of bitcoin usually dropped but there is nothing to worried about that because the price will recover soon

I don't think this is the end of Bitcoin. There are just so many projects with new tokens, that Bitcoin loose in popularity. Everything will be back to normal very soon.
Bitcoin is going to get a lot of people a lot of money if they invest. They will not be able to get the same results if they don't invest.
The money is what makes BTC what it is.

No it's not, it's Nirmal for the price to fluctuate at the lower price level for quite some time before skyrocketing again. It's going through a recovery phase and will eventually cross the 20 k mark by the end of the first half of 2018. Patience is important to avoid panic selling and regaiment of high price once again.

Last month we were hoping for 10k by end of December, now a month later the price of 12k is considered the downfall of Bitcoin. Ok.
Exactly! In the last year Bitcoin went from $700 to almost $ 20000. Then it lost about half of that but it's still at 12000, which is 17 times more expensive than it was a year ago!
17 times! And that's when we compare the highest price last year with the current one. If we compared the lows it would be a much greater discrepancy. Saying that it's dying or doing bad just makes those people look stupid.

In my opinion, 2018 is not the biggest decrease for bitcoin, since the bitcoin had once fallen but its price proved to be stable again and even doubled, I am sure because of its fluctuating nature even though bitcoin prices are declining, but the forecast in March will double. My advice now to get a little bit profit by bitcoin now and continue to monitor the price if our thinking has got the profit selling bitcoin it, then buy again. Take advantage of the situation.

I don't think that in the year 2018 we will see any huge downfall but yes there will be some fluctuations in the price but I am expecting stable growth after the first quarter of this year. Bitcoin market cap has grown rapidly till now I am expecting the same growth for the year, I think that Bitcoin will fall by 30% but not more than that level, to be honest. I am expecting much momentum in other coins for the same period.

I agree with you that the fall of the current Bitcoin price is not a big deal for Bitcoin users, because I think Bitcoin is going down and unstable like this might be a factor of their dislike of Bitcoin or they want to make plans for everyone to panic and sell it so they can buy with cheap price.

Not this Year but in the longer year. if you're going to look at the coinmarketcap bitcoin is just a baby compare it to DOTCOM. Try to do some research and you'll gonna appreciate what's behind everything. BItcoin will rise eventually.

So it was possible to say about each year, because the beginning of each year began with the fall of the currency. I think that this year he will prove even stronger and will be spoken about even more often.
