The growth of bitcoin is dependent on mass adoption. So far it has it more than any other coin. This will be the easiest for main stream regulation. Therefore folks will feel safer with it and big money will move in. It will spike to a high of $55k or so and level around 21,300.

the year has just started, we have not even crossed one third, so it too early for us to start emphasizing well i think you are right but in my opinion it's also a fact that bitcoin is such a currency which is always trying to move forward bitcoin have almost nine years in market and in this time duration bitcoin achieved a lot of its goal and targets thats why bitcoin price become very high than any other currency and every year bitcoin deliver good profit to its users so we can expect that this year bitcoin price will also go so high then any other other currency i,m very optimist about its prices because some rich companies are also going to join bitcoin which will give more power to bitcoin. |

Too soon to tell, in my opinion. We can't deny the fact that 2018 was a rought start for bitcoins specially cryptocurrency. But if you lack not faith on bitcoins and alt coins, specially on the developers of these coins, then 2018 will be the downfall of cryptocurrency. |

Too soon to tell, in my opinion. We can't deny the fact that 2018 was a rought start for bitcoins specially cryptocurrency. But if you lack not faith on bitcoins and alt coins, specially on the developers of these coins, then 2018 will be the downfall of cryptocurrency. Lol. Both of you seem to have a gloomy forecast for hiw btc may end up this year. One thing, crypto has already reached enough support to ensure it will survive. Second, bitcoin has been through a lot worse dump than this. If you've spent quite some time in btc, like 2 years perhaps, you won't even mind what's going on right now. And it's january. Another apocalyptic thought!! Yet, lot of people feels this way. It remembers me the 2000 crisis when people used to believe the world was going to go to its end due to the change of millennium in the machines… I truly remember how even my friends and family where scared thinking at the end of the world! Well, it is common to be afraid and to have those apocalyptic thoughts when you don’t have enough information, for it seems to be a total chaos. As it's been told to you, I strongly recommended to stay reading for a while here in the forum and you will learn enough to see that BTC is here to stay and how it fluctuates all the time and never disappears!! |

Absolutely disagree with you. Bitcoins has instances or usually pumps during midyear and end of the year.
But still no assurance, there might be developments or another tearing down of bitcoin in some countries.
Jumping to conclusions sometimes lead to FUD. We need more positive ideas instead of asking if it will come to an end because clearly, bitcoin won't end that quickly. As long as there are users, bitcoin will live and can fluctuate.

With respect to the OP's newbie status, which he to his credit does proclaim, there is no such animal as the end of BTC. The genie of cryptocurrency is out of the bottle and there is no going back now. Now, is it possible that BTC will lose more dominance, sure, expecially if more Bitmain-eque antics continue. I personally prefer to see it hang around 49 to 51% of market dominance, thirty to thirty-five is lower than I like, but BTC will likely maintain value even as it becomes too "heavy" to actually trade, as in gold is still valuable, but you aren't gonna carry around too many bricks of it.
