I am a relative newbie but have remained pretty calm during the difficult last week or so. The markets are falling significantly again, is this still relatively normal and is the best advice just to HODL? Moving forward I think I will set stop losses on all holdings to protect my capital against falls like this.

Indeed, the best thing to do is to hold. We should not panic just because major cryptomarket is falling, that's just oart of every coins' market value volatility and nothing's new with this scenario. Like what usually happens with the declines, their market value will eventually increase and patience is a virtue. I do believe that selling won't be a good decision just because you are woried of the backdrops.

when the market falls that should be done just holding it and trying to invest the coins you have. because the likelihood of profit gained when we hold it is where the market position is secure and able to experience an upward improvement. so the market did not suffer so deep downfall and experienced a speedy recovery.

When the market is falling, you should always try to buy as much Ethereum as you can.

If you have the money I suggest buying different coins to hold since the prices are so cheap. It is always good to have different varieties of coins to hold instead on focusing only one. But if you don't have the luxury to buy different coins then hold on to your coins and don't even think of selling. Be patient and wait for the green light.

I think only few people here in crypto are setting up stop losses even before starting to buy. I think it is the best way if you are planning some stop loss then set it up right after you purchase a coin.

Most here are playing the long game due to crypto market heavy volatility. So far I can say most are rewarded well. But not after some ups and downs which is something a new comer in the market worries.

1. I learned not to HODL. The reason that I learned that is that, small losses turns to bigger losses. I'm not much of a trader, but what I learned is that, you need to protect your asset from bigger losses.
2. The market moves in waves, it doesn't go straight up or straight down, meaning there are entry and exit point if you missed a good one. Be patient.
3. Cash is also a position, normally I use USDT to preserve value of my gains. Position a part of your portfolio in cash (10-20%), in case there's a FUD news on a good coin or token, you can buy it.

Yes much better to HODL all the coins that you have and invest more on the coins that you can invest with. If it is also possible, invest with the bitcoin while it's price is not too high so that after all of this, I'm sure that it will rise up again just like last year. We should be positive and don't panic with the current situation.

The best tactic is not to panic and not daily trading. A common mistake of newbi is to panic sell when the market falls. You can't affect the fall, so you just have to wait for the growth.
