My tactics when the market falls is keep waiting quietly do not panic to sell. if we panic to sell then we will make the price more fall. all we can do is calm and patiently we are hodl or if we have more money we can buy again this is the right time to buy. and we also have to coin falling coins for what if only because of FUD then hodl. but if due to any indication of coin developers committing fraud then sell before we suffer a greater loss.

One thing I usually do is to change to usdt which is somehow stable no matter the fall in market prices. Moreover, usdt recovers within a short period of time unlike other coins/tokens which may take years to recover.

But the better option is that you hold your money for longer time in any market situation. If you will hold then it is possible that a time come when the market shhots up so much higher and you do not miss the good time while those who sell often miss the good market and then regret their sale in the falling market.

I am a relative newbie but have remained pretty calm during the difficult last week or so. The markets are falling significantly again, is this still relatively normal and is the best advice just to HODL? Moving forward I think I will set stop losses on all holdings to protect my capital against falls like this.

You can average down if you have spare btc so you can get out of your holdings earlier, or you can opt to HODL now. Stop losses are great to protect your capital, but it's only good when it's 10-15% and not advisable to sell when you are atleast 30% down.

There are no tactics when the market is going down. Because you can not change it. What you should do? Mybe you can trade with options on some shorts. But then you got a very high risk. If you dont want to risk more, the only way you have is to hold, as long as everything will go up again.

stay calm, buy altcoins at their lowest and sell once it recovers, if your holding those altcoins just be patient and if the project is a good one it will recover (don't panic sell your altcoins, it only pushes the price further down)

when the market is falling, it will be better to add your purchase to the falling price, so when it comes back you will get more profits because you have coins bought when the price is falling

When Market gets a dump, i still hold my coins, or my strategy is to trade it to some better coin, so that i can gain profit by trading. But that is so hard to get a profit when your coin gets a dump, so if i am not a good trader it is better to hold it for a year, and then when pump comes, i will gain profit.

there is no tactic that always works. because sometimes it falls and suddenly goes up again. nobody knows. i can advise you to put stop losses during your trades. but if you didnt put stop losses, just hold them and wait till the market recovers. (it can take months.)
