Is Cuban really a part of this, or is his name just used to attract people?

That is a good question and a valid one since there's nothing from him on that subject, however, I don't think people involved in the project would dare just strap on someone's name to their idea without a fear of huge lawsuits, so yeah, I think he's in this, just not really talkative about it.

He will maybe include himself in a more critical moment of the project development, maybe its a part of strategy.

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

I just checked the Telegram group... Holy... It looks like Current has a fanbase as large as that of the Dallas Mavericks Cheesy

Hehe based on the title of this thread it is no wonder it is so popular.

Hahaha...yeah looks like it  Grin

Maybe you are right but this is just so crazy. So many followers if they all buy in, what is the hard cap of this project? It looks like it is going through the roof.

The sale has now closed and an airdrop has been launched. Please see this press release: http://www.the-blockchain.com/2018/02/06/current-media-closes-36m-private-sale-readies-airdrop/

You can register for the $4M worth of CRNC airdrop here: Sign up link until Feb 21st ➡️ https://current-app.typeform.com/to/q9FbV6?s=tg

$4 million worth of CRNC airdrop sounds massive. How many people are allowed to participate in that?

hm...I really think it might cater more to the music / video industry, but sure, why not, if it can be done I see no reason not to have that content on it.

Yes I also don't see the reason for content restrictions, if its in a limit of normal of course.

If they support video game streaming than yes, the Twitch audience would be interested. Twitch has been boomin' the past couple of years so it would be great for Current if they could get a piece of that pie.

True, gaming is getting bigger each year,so it wouldnt be smart to avoid that part of the market.

And not just Twitch but YoutubeGaming, Smashcast, Facebook... There are a bunch of platforms doing it so there will be plenty to chose from Smiley

Oh, it took off quite well Smiley They have been on a tear lately, they even reached their hard cap if I am not mistaking. They will probably have to review their plans because I'm sure even they are surprised with the positive feedback from the community.
