I think that Ethereum it's a really good coin , you can really invest in it, but i'm not really sure if in the near future it will overtake Bitcoin. Like..its price still depends on Bitcoin so i think that I think it will take some time to have a higher value than BTC.

In the crypto world difficult to say something, reason is so much bubbling under it.
It’s possible when very one buy Ethereum but we can’t compare ethereum to bitcoin because both are different project. Ethereum mostly used for contract payments usually for token sale purchase.

I think that this simply will not happen. Especially this year. I agree, etherium is a good altcoyin. But he will not overthrow Bitcoin. Bitcoin was and will be the first. And it's hard to argue with that. |

Ethereum has seen a major boost during the past few weeks. In January, it was trading at around BTC0.025 per coin. During the last one month, its value against Bitcoin increased by almost 4 times, and the exchange rates hit a high of BTC0.100 per coin before falling slightly.
Ethereum are the most stable and consistent coin in term of price, yeah it could get declined and stay for long time and vice versa. The function of this coin are so useful especially in the few last months. No one in doubt about ethereum, just the matter of time it could be a better crypto than Bitcoin who always in doubt. I think that ethereum exactly takes one of the leading positions in the world of crypto currencies and it is possible that in the future it will only strengthen its position. Almost all ICOs in the past and present are built on the platform ethereum, this is a serious argument in favor of this coin.  Thats right that etherium demand is increasing because you also said that past and present ico are built in its platform. As long as thi is continue, i am sure that it can be the real closest competitor. |

I dont think so, bitcoin will never surpass bitcoin. In every altcoins it will become the king, but not against bitcoin. I know that ethereum is a very promising and a good altcoin which is expected to grow in the future, but it will never be like bitcoin and never surpass it. |

I think that after the BTC, the ETH is the king of all the altcoins. This is well known, and people invest money in it. But it seems to me that in 2018 he will not beat the cost of BTC.

There are Neo, EOS and Cardano that are still going to prove theirselves that they are better than Eth's blockchain so if Eth can't beat those then it has no right to be the new king. |

Ethereum can become the new king of crypt o currency only after the bitcoin era.because bitcoin is the most popular and wide spread crypt o currency.whose market capital is very strong and also the daily traded volume is very high but the bitcoins quantity in number is limited to 21 million only meantime Ethereum the quantity is unlimited and can be accommodated through the bock chain technology with another block .Ethereum has started in 2015 its growth and features are also attractive including the market capital and the daily trading volume are also considerably high.

Ethereum are now being used for most of the advanced traders becuase of the low transaction fee compare to bitcoin, it will never replace bitcoin yet but if Vitalik continue to develop the platform then at least 5 years it will be the one who can surpass bitcoin.
Agree on you, Ethereum has now getting stronger and the developer are doing to improve more on this technology. No doubt this will skyrocket soon. Although a question is if they can overtake Bitcoin, maybe in the coming years. Only time can tell for that. |

Exactly, the market is so big and we can see them grow together, I would be happier if bitcoin and Ethereum will both increase in adoption in the coming years as that would bring good results to investors and increase the trust of users. |

It is hard to say that ethereum is the new king of crypto because we all know that bitcoin is the king of crypto currency. Although, many people much prefer to buy the ethereum but it doesn't mean that it is the new king of crypto. Even ethereum is one of popular altcoin, and yes ethereum is now being used for most of the advanced trader, but it doesn't mean that this is the new king of cryptocurrency, no one knows about this. Although, it is possible to make it happen, but i think it takes a long period of time.

Actually, everything is turning really shaky in the whole of the crypto world. It is not only Bitcoin that is suffering from this kind of trouble in cryptocurrencies' prices. Ethereum is also going down in terms of price, along with the major altcoins that are almost as strong as Ethereum. Litecoin is also going down, so does IOTA, so does Ripple, so does Cardano. Every altcoin that tops the chart is also suffering so there is no point saying Bitcoin is going down while the other one is rising. |

Everything in the world of cryptocurrency has the things to possibly to change. If your saying that bitcoin will replace by ethereum there are much likely possible to happen since a lot of members here in this forum have trusted already ethereum which makes it easier to be on top of the bitcoin. And bitcoin's price nowadays is also dropping so the is a possibility of that to happen. However, there are also promising altcoins that may replace ethereum or even bitcoin. It depends upon on how the altcoins success in the cryptocurrency world. There are also ICO projects now that are promising. We do not know what will be happening in cryptocurrency. You must expect the unexpected things to happen.
