... that posting a picture of a bunch of cut out newspaper articles spread out on the floor might be considered good PR for a lemonade stand, but is surely damaging to investor confidence in this thread.
When people demand updates before they are ready, this is what happens. No, you can't have your cake and eat it too. Let the man work please. I think this is an 'OK' interim update. But really, 'the man' should hire 'another man' to do their outreach/PR. Hell, if I was a bitcoiner in Cyprus I might even offer to sign an NDA and do their PR for just a minor equity share, thereby costing them nothing pre-launch.

I think it safe to assume that companies don't typically get this kind of press without having some legitimacy.
Seriously....... there's plenty of terrible companies and outright scams that have had great press in both Bitcoinland and the 'Real' world. Publicity is great when you have a product to sell, but you usually generate publicity after you've launched the product.

Those that do get this level of publicity are overwhelmingly legitimate.

spent quite a while on google, cant seem to find much domestic (cyprus) media on Neo & Bee, considering they're 1st location supposedly already "soft-launched" there really nothing i could find, in contrast you can't even put up a bitcoin ATM most places without it making the front page of reddit, never mind opening a bitcoin bank. does anybody know how to say bitcoin in greek?

It's not used much in Greek, it's used as "bitcoin". If used, it would be "μπιτκoιν" or "μπιτκόιν". Paste in Google search box site:.cy bitcoin site:.cy bitcoin neo bee site:.gr bitcoin neo bee I can personally say, I've seen in October I think, an outdoor advertisement in a bus station in Limassol. I don't remember the words exactly, it was like a "teaser"...EDIT: Actually the advertisement was for https://cyprus(dot)bancdebinary(dot)com/ which has nothing to do with bitcoin. Sorry, I had the wrong impression. spent quite a while on google, cant seem to find much domestic (cyprus) media on Neo & Bee, considering they're 1st location supposedly already "soft-launched" there really nothing i could find, in contrast you can't even put up a bitcoin ATM most places without it making the front page of reddit, never mind opening a bitcoin bank. does anybody know how to say bitcoin in greek?

Here's the proposed timeline from the prospectus: September 2013 ● Final planning of Marketing Strategy ● Final planning and start of Software Development ● Plan & issue invitations to merchants for presentation events ● Press Call to announce the new business to the media and commentators here in Cyprus, at the University of Nicosia ● Continue lobbying process to Minister of Finance and Attorney General ● Finalize strategic partnership contracts ● Announce strategic partnerships at the European Bitcoin Convention in Amsterdam ● Sign off on interior designs for Neo’s Flagship Branch ● Start formal process with tax and auditing advisors to create internal policies and procedures
October 2013 ● Sign off on marketing campaigns, visuals and TV scripts ● Continue lobbying process to Minister of Finance and Attorney General ● Begin signup process for merchant presentation events, first events ● Software development continues ● Commence frontline recruitment process for merchant account managers ● Finalize retail product offerings ● Senior management public appearances and interviews with media outlets
November 2013 ● Complete applications to relevant authorities dependant upon legal and taxation framework decisions ● Commence construction of Flagship Branch ● Software development continues ● Commence billboard and print media teaser marketing campaigns ● Continue with merchant presentation events ● Sign off legal documentation on initial product offerings
December 2013 ● Merchant account managers on the ground acquiring new business ● Start full marketing campaigns ● Enable preregistration for accounts ● Purchase POS hardware ● Complete deposits with Central Bank (dependant upon regulatory requirements) ● Proceed with acquisition of Branch 2 and commence renovations. ● Sign off on construction of Flagship Branch ● Commence software testing ● Draft software licensing requirements and process
January 2014 ● Soft opening of Flagship Branch to commence account opening for preregistered accounts ● Installation of POS hardware with merchants ● Sign off on Branch 2 renovations ● Complete branch staff systems and services training ● Complete testing and certification ● Implemented EUwide KYC&AML software ● Continue marketing campaigns ● Final sign off on initial software developments
February 2014 ● Official Flagship Branch and Branch 2 Grand Openings ● Commence accepting deposits ● New marketing campaign
I think everyone who has ever worked in a project knows that the original timeline and schedule is never what is actually beeing done. At least all projects I've ever been involved in has always been altered (or delayed) in some way. It is okey to not be on time in my eyes, as long as they the issues are beeing addressed. It is also okey to prioritize more important features and delaying other, less important ones. It would be nice to get some feedback on the timeline from PR or Danny. Whenever you have time of course.

Surely the most important progress is when they have a licence from the Bank Of Cyprus to actually operate as a bank/deposit-taker. Otherwise the branches and adverts are pretty irrelevant.

I do agree that's the key moment here, but drumming up public interest and support can only help. Also, going by the timeline in the post above yours, I'm guessing we're somewhere in November?

After hours of research and careful analysis. I am in full support of NEO & BEE @ Havelock Investments.
So, anything I buy is covered as 'direct' shares, correct ?

I would suggest hoping for something more realistic like .0035 BTC/share. There's still alot of shares that need to get knocked down in the coming months before N/B starts to see an upswing.

Of course, this depends on the final value of the company (and with a bank, that could be very large indeed, if successful) and the rate of BTC/US$.

I think we also have to wait for the first dividends to see some major movement

Not with that attitude they won't I'm an investor, and I'm holding back on buying extra shares at this stage, as I imagine many other are. Show me an updated website, some literature, proof that things are progressing (albeit slowly) on a regular basis, and I'd buy more.

At this point no one will buy them before the official grand opening. A VC could always step in to buy the whole remaining pack. That can happen overnight. We can wake next morning and notice share price just doubled after some VC bought it all in one swoop. Won't surprise me there are ongoing talks with some investors who want to buy it all.
