I think holding altcoins is the best strategy. Don’t forget to diversify your portfolio. Some coins can rise and others can stay on the same price level

its not difficult, but it is true that you can lose a lot of money if you are holding shitty coins, like those who were just  released and made a x5 and you bought it on the top of the chart, then, you would lose a lot of money because of that

Very dangerous if hold a bad coin, we should be more careful choosing a coin that will hold.
yes let eth, XRP, LTC is a worthy coin to hold.
or some of the ERC20 tokens that have a large community and the team runs the roadmap well.

It's true that this market is so risky / dangerous.
But what makes you think holding altcoins are dangerous? Do you think holding bitcoin would be safer?
hmm....
Personally, I would prefer holding altcoins over bitcoin at the time being. Bitcoin is an old crypto currency and it's pretty lame in my opinion (slow transaction, expensive fees, overloaded blockchain) while in the other hand with altcoins you can have the exact opposite  (fast-to-instant transaction speed, low fees, etc). The only reason why bitcoin is prioritized over altcoins is because bitcoin is the first cryptocurrency ever known therefore people still choose bitcoin. But what about the future? I'm pretty sure altcoins will win over bitcoin in the future especially if crypto will be used in real life for daily purposes.

Curious, why is it dangerous to hold your altcoins? It is much riskier if you decide to sell them, and choose the wrong period when they are cheap. I am always holding the most expensive alts and BTC.

It all depends on the coin. Some coins are dangerous to hodl, because if the team does not work well, the price will fall. Therefore, it is always necessary to monitor the project.

If you leave your money in some coins without checking them frequently, yes holding is dangerous. If you check them, holding is not dangerous and it's good for the entire community. No doubts about it.

I wouldn't really call it dangerous but its pretty much risky so yeah. Altcoins can move and move and if you are not patient person you may lose everything you got in blink of eye. I would suggest to invest in bitcoin.

In a growing market, this is not dangerous, as it brings very good profits. But the market can turn around and bring you losses.

I think so. This is due to the fact that when the market is at the stage of correction, many token holders do not sell them, and the price in any case falls. As a result, the price of the token falls significantly.

Yes, holding altcoins is dangerous. Because of that I hold small amount of altcoins for long term. I use altcoins for short term investments.

So far I think holding Altcoin harmless. The price movement of altcoin in coinmarketcap influenced by Bitcoin is not a dangerous thing, Bitcoin does have an influence on Altcoin.
But we also have to understand not all Altcoin able to compete in the existing Crypto market is sinking because its value is very low.
Therefore, choose a coin that has good potential to survive in coinmarketcap.

Not at all. If you have a good selection of altcoins, and you can hold them for 2 years to 3 years , it can a return of ten times your initial capital. Coins like Ether, waves and Neo are good for holding and not dangerous at all.

I agree that holding alts are dangerous same as holding bitcoin , there was just lot of risk when investing on alts compare to bitcoin since most of the alts can be easily manipulated , there was lot of return on alts and lot of risk also , so if you have a big risk appetite you could invest on alts and you may gain a lot of returns in the near future.

Obviously, alts are more riskier than bitcoin but the risk factor will be different for every altcoins. Generally, the topmost altcoins can be considered less risky so majority of portfolio should be in bitcoin and top altcoins. Only invest small amounts in ICOs  and low cap alts.

As I think it is not, keeping or selling it depends on your ability and market conditions, if you need money to see you can sell it and vice versa there is no dangerous problem. so is holdng alts not dangerous

Most of them will fail, it depends on which coins you hold. If you hold coins with no chance, then you are very likely to fail with them in the future. Good coins may die as well.

dangerous if you can't wait too freaked out if at any time the price of the coin falls, it's usually done by novice investors who hold their coins.

If you simply hold altcoins without doing the necessary research, then it could be extremely dangerous. Some people go with the hype and forget that they invested on hype-d coins and the problem with this is that the hype, DIES. When the hype dies you will be stuck with a low value coin that can't even be sold because there is no volume.

As they always say, DYOR. Do your own research.
