I'm a technical specialist, and if I'm interested in the project then I read white paper, but most projects at first glance look like scam

Even if you use Bitcoin through Tor, the way transactions are handled by the network makes anonymity difficult to achieve. Do not expect your transactions to be anonymous unless you really know what you're doing.

I always read the whitepaper when I'm investing in any project. I read it in detail and read about the coin so that I understand what the coin does and whether it will succeed or not.
If the whitepaper of a coin is bad then it is not likely to suceed.

These white papers are long and full of technical lingo. If you ever actually take the time to read an entire white paper, often times you feel like you ought to get an award for your efforts. But the best you can do is subtly brag to your crypto friends that “You read the white paper”

usually, the explanation on the whitepaper is usually too long-winded so spend our time. to make efficient the time normally I just read a glance by taking the core of the project. usually I also just read the important info I am looking for and the advantages of the project.

Correct, which we need further explanation that's why we need some ideas from the white paper. Also, in some possible situation we can see if the project is very dedicated by their own white paper to provide us a copy if its a legit or not which also differ on their platforms, advocacy and platforms.

A lot of projects are offering one-pager a short copy of the WP. Anyway, I'm always checking three things - 1) technology - how innovative it is, whether it is real to implement it and how blockchain related to the project 2) token distribution - max supply, whether the unsold tokens will be burnt, whether the tokens are frozen/locked for 12-18 months (for team, founders etc) 3) team - whether they real or not and years of experience + references on the internet

I guess if you plan to invest your money in the project, it's very important to analyse it thoroughly . And reading of whitepaper is one of the most important aspects.

Reading the whitepaper is really time consuming, but then I agree with what most of the people said in this thread, it is important! If you want to invest your hard earned money in the right ICO, then read the whitepaper. If you are lazy, then choose to read the very important details such as: What is their product and its usage? What is the problem they want to solve and how will the project do it? Their vision? Who is in the team behind the ICO?

Of course i read the whitepaper, you can decide that ICO you join is good or not, first from the whitepaper, do not be lazy to read the whitepaper and the website, to learn all of information about the project. You can see roadmap of the project from whitepaper.

You don't need to read the whole whitepaper. As an investor, what you must look for is: -Technology -Uses -Token policy -ICO period -ICO terms -Roadmap Can't imagined why others will just invest their money just because of hype and when ICO ends, lots of questions will be asked by them and all answers can be found on whitepaper.

Let be real. How many of you guys actually read the whitepaper? I read whitepaper sometimes, but reading multiple of them can be a burden and a headache. Do you guys got any tips on getting through whitepaper a little faster. It killing a lot of time. Thank.
In my personal experiences, I never read white papers, but only few of them.. Very often. I do read white papers only when I already get the bounty stake tokens and try to understand what is their project is all about but that's it. I don't do read white papers that bumps my screen and for me it seems waste of time because most ICOs are just having the same projects and the world "decentralization" is too garbage on my ears.

That's the important information and project detail if you're an investor. For me, I haven't invested yet but I really do have my favorite altcoins when I do invest in the future and Yes, those you mentioned above are some of the many project information that' s needs to be considered because we really don't waste our time and our money on investing into scam ICOs. I do not prefer white papers but instead I will bump into their Telegram Channel group and check whether they have many active members otherwise, I'll better drink a cup of coffee and rest.

Yeah I do read qhite papers but it's true that it was time consuming if you're going to read it first before you going to register on the ICO you're going to join with. Though it may seems time consuming but i need to read it first to check the background of the ICO and if it is worth it to work on with this ICO. Sometimes we need to lot our so much time on keep on reading and reading.

If you want to understand where your money is going, I recommend reading whitepapers, watching videos, and carefully looking through web content. You want to look at the integrity of the business plan and the people who will execute on it. Check out the ICO for RLCoin, an enterprise solution for loyalty: www.rlcoin.io. The product has existing traction with 250 clients and partners in Europe and Asia.

I prepare carefully for video reviews and always read and think about the meaning of this document. This is very important for understanding the future of the project.

When you participating in bounty I don't think you should read the whitepaper and when you investing in ICO, of course, you must read it.

Yes, I usually read the whitepaper before to invest in a project. I think it's fundamental, and it helps to reduce the risk. At least I read that part about which I have knowledge, such as the business plan and the economic part of the project. I still don't master the technical aspects, I don't know much about that. But I try to ask someone who knows more than me.

The average investors I don't think reads a single white paper. I don't understand this. It's like marrying a woman without checking if she is the right sex. This was a poor example but you need to check the white paper, you can learn so much about the company for good or for bad
