"Response from pool too long" problem also sometimes happens with Eligius,
I guess it is due to large generation transactions for payout?

Correct. Because all stratum decoding is handled by small microcontroller, with just a few kilobytes of memory, it can be a problem sometimes. The theoretical requirement could be a few megabytes, so there's just no way it can be modified to handle all circumstances.

Most other pools have much smaller requirements, because they only have a simple transaction to their own wallet.

I see, then there is little hope for the S-HASH to work with P2pool.
Currently I will stick with Eligius but fallback to HHTT to see how it works.
Thanks for the help!

Another problem with p2pool is the fast block times, and the fact that the bitfury chips don't have an option to cancel the job they've started. This means that it would be impossible to avoid large percentage of stale blocks.

I see... no wonder NanoFuries and Drillbit miners also have high dead rate (about 6%), like BFL miners.
But the situation of these Bitfury miners is still better than average dead rate (6.7% in month) of p2pool network.
Maybe because it is a common issue for mining hardwares, though with different causes.

It wasn't a good idea to update from v0.1.6 to v0.1.10.

procedure:
Chose the file, upload the firmware. It takes a sec then i got the "reboot" site. Wait a few secs and click on "go back".
After that the Miner isn't reachable any more. I check the dns entries maybe it got e new ip but it didn't got a IP.
I tried to reset it with the button on board. Tried to power off for a while.
But nothing happens.

So what can i do now?

Try attaching a USB cable, according to these instructions, and see if you get a message there.

hmmm, at first view it seems good. But "DHCP ready 0" makes me a bit confuse. Does it mean the Board have a fix IP and don't use DHCP?

Here the output:
Code:
mac: ...
S-HASH
init pool 0
initializing bitfury
chip init 0
chip init 1
chip init 2
chip init 3
chip init 4
chip init 5
chip init 6
chip init 7
chip init 8
chip init 9
chip init 10
chip init 11
chips-hash > web server on port 80
 init 12
chip init 13
chip init 14
chip init 15
init DHCP
DHCP ready 0
init dns
Hostname shash021a.local
Full duplex 100 Mbps

Most other pools have much smaller requirements, because they only have a simple transaction to their own wallet.

Running v0.1.10 firmware for more than 3 days with Eligius and HHTT:
"Response from pool too long" only occured once with Eligius, and S-HASH switched to HHTT after some pool rejections.
After some time it switched back, and kept working with Eligius again smoothly.
Thanks cscape for  the new firmware!

Dear, firends,
We shipped out today most of early December Hex16a2 (c) and Hex16b orders.
Unfortunately we were not able to shipout all of the December orders yet.
We'll continue shipping on 30-th of December , but most probably there still be some late December orders that will be left for shipping in the 1-st week of January.
Hex16A ( avalon gen1) We did send out part of the last batch orders. There are some orders that will be out in the 1-st week of January too.
Nanofuries We send some orders today  and due to some production delays , there are still orders that are late.
We are scheduling production in the first days of January
All customers with faulty units Just return them to sending addres and We'll send you replacement/repaired unit .
All DPD sendings can be tracked in our Local representative's page here http://www.speedy.bg/begin.php?page=web_Tracking&lang=en

Wishing you Happy new year.

Hello all,

still having problems with my s-hash.

Already tried many configuration, already tried to upgrade the firmware from technobit (actually, version 0.1.10), already connected via usb to the console system for debugging.

I can see it's connected to the pool, I can see notification like

Code:
set difficulty 512
mining notify: job_id '23762d65' coinbase 118+180 ntime 1387628053 merkle 10
set difficulty 20
mining notify: job_id '23762d66' coinbase 118+180 ntime 1387628113 merkle 10

but graphs are not updating neither on webgui nor on pool side.

Tried with:
give-me-coins pool
deepbit.net pool
ghash.io pool

and tried pointing it to a bfgminer process in order to make it work as a proxied device (on the same bfgminer 1 erupter blade and 2 Hashbuster Micro are currently running without any problems).

Configured with and without passwords, duplicating and not duplicating the same pool.

I really need help, before considering this devide faulty and send it back..

more information here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=379768

thank you

Can you test it with btcguild?
Have you overlock the miner per pencil mod? If the miner got to high voltage it has the same effect.
