fwiw, the 5hr doge round wasn't paid out, but, it was still lower than usual/where we were at before, no questions.  We've added/re-enabled a few more coins today, hopefully they help improve profits.

Profit-Switching Pool w/ Vardiff -> http://hashco.ws  Optionally keep the alts we mine or auto-trade for BTC. In addition can be paid out in any of: 365, AC, BC,  BTC, C2, CINNI, COMM, FAC, HBN, MINT, PMC, QRK, RDD, WC, XBC

I don't quite understand what the "Profitability: 31.161" stat means and my search has failed. can somone explain please or link to explanation?

According to the hashcows profitability formula it is 31.161 times more profitable than BTC.

Thx! Smiley

We aren't fixing a problem, we rebuilt a brand new site from scratch, over the holidays, while trying to spend time with family.  I guess it is what it is at this point.  As it happens, coin modifications released tonight, and another dev has in fact been added to the team.

--my emphasis--

Great news, nearmiss!!!  Keep up the good work and don't mind the grousers.

Thanks for the update.

Yes, Catwold.. you love Hashcows, we get it.

So, back to the world of reality.  My 3.5-4.0 Mh/s just got me 0.02554136 BTC.  Which is actually LESS then if I just mined LTC.  Wow...
It's not so much that I "love Hashcows," as I loathe petty, self-centered, immature, entitled little children who can't keep a civil tongue in their heads and think they're so special that the world and all of it's physical laws should be bent to their sole satisfaction . . . you know, people like you.

See, the difference between you and me is that I understand that I came here of my own volition, I chose to mine on Hashcows, and if I feel that I am not getting my electricity's worth from mining on Hashcows, I can and will move my miners elsewhere . . . and I will do it without whining like a little girl.  If I encounter a problem, instead of coming here to the Hashcow thread and whining about it, I will contact support.

Believe me, if I think I'm not getting what I should, I'll be gone in a flash . . . but I won't cry like a 5-year old about it.

I've tried the Password Reset request twice over the last 12 hours and it says it's sent but I've not received anything, so I can't log in yet. Is there a problem with this at the moment?

SBC doesn't appear as an option for me on the cashout page. This was one of the coins I'd set to not autoconvert to BTC, so why am I unable to withdraw them?

I haven't seen a reply to this question yet, nor have I received a reply to my e-mail to support on 5 January asking the same thing. It would be nice if someone could respond as I currently can't log in and check if they're showing in my account still and not seeing an option on the cashout page for SBC has made me rather concerned.

Are we talking about the website now, or the temporary cashout tool (which was closed last night) ?  Based on your post above this, have you since been able to get logged into the site then?  It was mentioned earlier (or went out in an email actually I think) that when the site had launched, any old email support requests would be deleted, and to re-send (as the majority of requests would no longer be applicable).  Its likely I guess, that if you aren't getting password resets, you may not have gotten that one either.   Its likely SBC wasn't listed on the temp tool because it was disabled on the site at the time, its since been re-enabled, and should properly display fine on the new site, if you have a balance.

Please email support again or drop by irc, and provide your username and that you aren't getting the reset requests (I assume these requests are from the new site and not pre-Jan 5?), and we can get it sorted.  The new site uses a 3rd party email provider, so the problems that the temp tool had being blocked by certain isps, shouldn't apply.

With prices these days, probably not more than .015-.012.

Check this Coinwarz page with 1400 entered (same as me).  The most profitable coins are only running ~$15.00-20.00/day (current profitability assumed for the whole day), so generating .025-.03 would probably take twice the hashing power.

http://www.coinwarz.com/cryptocurrency/?sha256HashRate=1400.00&sha256Power=500.00&sha256PowerCost=0.1300&scryptHashRate=1400.00&scryptPower=500.00&scryptPowerCost=0.1300&sha256Check=true&scryptCheck=true

We are wholly dependent upon the exchange-rate for the alt-currencies we mine.  However, it is possible that you could make considerably more if you were to hold all of the currencies until the prices rise--assuming they do.  You have that option in the user section, to specify which coins you wish to keep and which you wish to auto-exchange.

Okey, so we're lucky when we get 20 dollar/day. Thanks for the info mate

I was referring to the temporary cashout tool not showing SBC, back when I tried it before the new site was up and running. Now that you've explained that this was probably becauses it was disabled on the site at that time, that reassures me that everything should show correctly once I login to the new site.

I still haven't received the reset e-mails after the two requests I submitted using the new site, so I'll drop support another e-mail as you suggest. I did receive the cashout e-mails for a couple of other coins I cashed out with the temporary tool though and didn't experience any problems such as you refer to.

So, to summarize in one place (if people take the time to read past posts) according to my understanding (from reading past posts, FAQs, and my experience on the pool in general)

1.  The site was hacked, coins were stolen.  The admins shut the site down and repaid lost coins to miners out of their own pockets.  This happened right around Christmas time.

2.  A new site has been built from scratch to be more secure than the last site.  It is not feature-complete at this time.  They are still adding features and working out bugs.

3.  The altcoin market in general is down right now.

4.  When auto-trading, several things need to happen before one gets a payout.  a) a round needs to finish.  b) all blocks need to be confirmed.  c) coins need to trade to BTC  d) payouts are once per day.  So it's very possible that you can hash for 24 hours and not get your full payout for a day or two.

I was mining prior to the hack, did not have any coins stolen, and continued to mine at hashco.ws during the site lockdown.  I am not currently mining on hashco.ws because it is not very profitable.  I am currently mining some speculative coins (stuff not on an exchange or coins that are brand new) instead until the altcoin market is more profitable.

I am confident that hashco.ws will continue to improve as the admins have time to work on it.  But I have other places to mine.  When altcoins are more profitable again (I'll take a look at the next bitcoin diff increase) I'll probably be back on hashco.ws.

Hey nearmiss/atriz,

When you get a chance, can you update your priority list for features?  I'm glad to see a lot of the stuff that's come back in the last few days and that auto-payouts are coming shortly, but the main thing I'm waiting for is up-to-date stats/reports.

Thanks,
Z

Is multicoin pool mining really not that profitable anymore? I thought it would switch to some of the newer coins that are for a short time better or is that not the case? I'm new so bear with me.

More profitable to go back to litecoin (and its blah difficulty)?

Been mining here through all of the mess and made a decent profit too.  The last three days with 5.7 mhs has given me .067~ BTC.  I don't know what happened but if that keeps through the next few days I am going to have to leave.  I honestly think there is an error somewhere but with absolutely no info still after weeks of excuses of why there is no time to fix your business, which is exactly what this pool is it is leaving me and obviously many others very disheartened and left wondering if we have been taken for a ride.

I have been mining with nearmiss on his pools for almost a year now and love the fact that he has always given prompt answers and solutions to problems being presented.  The way the stolen funds were handled was extraordinary but the way the lack of information and the excuses as to why you don't have time to fix your thousands of dollars a year business are getting old.  I hope things get better as a long time supporter but being left in the dark for this long is for the birds and a waste of my money and time.
