Well, if they surprise us, then the silence leads to that dramatic effect (rationalizing here)

And if they don't, well the trust on their silence, and future projects, is broken.

This "rationalizing" does not make much sense. They want to sell batch 2 as fast as they can so if they had anything positive to report - they'd be banging that drum, I assure you. The fact that they are not doing it, well I'll let you rationalize some more but I really doubt they are going for the dramatic effect here...

You are correct... however I have no buttons to push to get real information.

The only thing worse than being screwed is knowing I am being screwed whilst they sell more batch 2 machines.

It's nearly Chinese New Year (January 31st).  There is a 23 day celebration spanning that date, so for about a week before and two weeks after there are an increasing number of distractions that probably are simply preventing Black Arrow from diligently handling forum trolls.  The western world is very patient and understanding near the end of December, with very low expectations of corporations accomplishing much at the end of December.   Black Arrow has said repeatedly that the Chinese New Year shouldn't impact their schedule in the least, and that they have planned for it, and if anything are still ahead of schedule.  So... 2 pages in this thread about how unresponsive they are seems fairly intolerant.  If they continue this pattern for 10 months, then I think drawing similarities with BFL would be appropriate, but it's been a few days, during a time of celebration where they are at....   I'll be as ticked as everyone else if by middle of February they aren't gearing up to ship us all our products, but in the mean time, I suggest that everyone acknowledge/assume they are all busy celebrating (as they have stated is their plan at this point in their timeline).  There'll be plenty of time/opportunity to rant, and destroy their reputation in March... but it's still January.  Give 'em some patience.

Well before everyone panics bear in mind that I was indeed on the website approx 6 hours ago and the site had been changed a bit with larger pictures. Additionally I was on their forums. There are many things that may be happening so I think it a bit premature to cry foul.

On a side not I have also noticed a strong push by their customer service individuals to address open tickets with them trying to corral all the "support" questions. Reading between the lines it would make sense to me that with 1 month to "shipping" this would be the time to ensure all tickets that might impact shipping get addressed. This would also leave less time for someone to come here and answer the same questions over and over and over.

Granted I have no more information than anyone else but I do know that answering question here would probably take a back seat to addressing they ones properly submitted on their official form or support site.

To the argument that says they have no time to make one single post: they DO have time to make a post if they DO have time to log into both their bitcointalk and ecointalk accounts.
http://ecointalk.net/user/5-blackarrow/
Blackarrow was again online last night but didn't make a post.

What do you want them to post? Simply...... nothing has changed we are still on target... or we are behind.... Or just Hi.... What would that solve? I guess it might make people all warm and fuzzy inside. I think the best thing they can do would be.... 1.) Get the site back... and 2.) answer tickets. 3.) Post an update on their site. With that order being about right.

I think people want to know if they taped out.  I am just wondering if that translates to them.  They may have done it and are just hearing questions about production, and meanwhile they are waiting for the fab to get done and send them the chips.  So they have nothing to report.

Well my order has been in and processed for months. Not much to do but wait. I guess that is my stance. Nothing I can do will make things happen any faster. Patience is a virtue and all the speculation from others is just their own impatience and fear getting the better of them.

It's not exactly down. It's - odd. You can view the page source and it seems to be just a stub for error messages. This kind of thing:

"cannot_buy: 'You cannot buy the product with these option variants',
            no_products_selected: 'No products selected',
error_no_items_selected: 'No items selected! At least one check box must be selected to perform this action.',
delete_confirmation: 'Are you sure you want to delete the selected items?',
            text_out_of_stock: 'Out of stock',"

When I first saw that, my guess was that they were in the middle of maintenance. I'm not sure what to make of it.

All i get is blank white page,no error message or redirect. I would guess they had some screw-up when they published an update.

This would be consistent with what I saw this morning about 9 hours ago when I was able to last access the web site. When I went there the Rotational images were much larger than before. So much so that I though I had zoomed my browser in to 150%. Time will tell.

Right-click on the "blank" page and you can see the source code and get some info about it, including that it was apparently last changed "January-23-14 7:24:29 PM".

Still a mystery though.

Yeah, their website is down. It was down on January 1, 2014 but they fixed it soon. I think their web server is underpowered and just crashed.
