In my opinion, you can invest both of them. I advice you to share your money between bitcoin and ico.  But it is difficult to find a good project-ico.

I am a newcomer to the crypto market.
Should I invest in ICO projects or would I buy bitcoin to hold and wait for the price? Please give me advice.
Sincerely thank you.
In my opinion you should do everything that you can to make earnings , as you said yourself that you are newcomer , so here it will be more better for you that you should your best in every field where no risk attached to make earnings .
You should make buy of bitcoin and hold and also make Investment in ICOs project and also use small amount of bitcoin for Investment in trading with altcoins .
And also with these things you should participate in signature campaign like projects where you will make earnings without investment and you will need just to spend small time to share and gain knowledge and need to make guinine discussion .

I think investing in ICO is risky but the returns are much higher. You should be smart enough to recognise which ICOs will give you good returns like recently I got to know about this ongoing ICO called AGRI by blockgrain.io and they are only 7.5 cents! I'm confident because that is backed by Grain…the only asset that has inherent value throughout history.

I have already picked up big bags in their ICO. You can check out AGRI here: blockgrain.io

I think for a newbie cannot be allowed to invest in ICO. Many things have to be learned from ICO, like me until now I have not been able to decide to invest in ICO. The number of risk scam or ICO failed and our money will not come back again. In contrast with we investing on bitcoin, although a newbie they can benefit. Investing in bitcoin is simple, just put our money and then we can just leave it. We will never worry about our money lost if we are able to take care of wallet account properly and correctly.

In both there, is risk involved but BTC investment has less risk compared to ICO, you need to find the potential ICO and for that, you need to research a lot about the company. If you find a good project then you will make a good amount of money when they start listing in the exchanges.

Which Ico do you want to invest in? Some icos can make huge profits. Sometimes even stock market prices can be lower.
I think buying a bitcoin would be a better investment. If the price can not exceed 12 thousand dollars, the short term will rise to 15 thousand dolars Smiley
But ICO is now a lot of fraudulent projects. We can not detect any potential ICOs without experience in the Crypto market. In my opinion, investing in altcoin will reduce risk, not worry about loss of capital. Kiss

You can invest to ICOs and invest to bitcoin as well.

Like what others concern here is you should invest and be careful with the ICOs that are very shady and scammy.

If you worry about those ICO, just stay with bitcoin.

In my opinion this is the best time to buy BTC stock, the BTC price will increase to 20k $ at the end of this year. During this time the price below $ 10k is still a good price for us to invest. This is my prediction and many people have the same thoughts, so may be deviated.

It may be better to follow the prize campaign titles on the forum and direct someone to the amount you earn from them instead of just investing the amount in your hands in the crypto money market. This way you will not have to risk the amount in your hand, but you can also learn about and experience the market in this process.

Hard questions, but it all depends on your self.

If it's me, first I'll check first how much budget I have. If I have like lots of money then I'll definitely split it 75% btc and 25% ICO. Actually I don't like BTC at all but I'm sure for long term investment bitcoin is still awesome, not to mention the total supply is almost reached! pretty sure the price will spike high once the total supply filled.

But If I have limited money and can only invest like few hundred bucks, then I'll definitely prefer ICO. But currently ICO is not really good for investment as well, most of it turned out ot be scam coins and  are too good to be true. If I have another option , I think I'll just use the money to invest in some altcoins which listed on good exchanges and coinmarket already also with good vision and mission and let it be for few months.

both are good for you for investment depending on how you manage your finances if you want to get great results, then ico investment is the right choice (but full of risk) and if your bitcoin investment should have patience (long term with little risk)

I'd suggest taking a look at btc for a newcomer. Start studying everything about icos/markets. Mostly invest into infrastructure projects dApps are risky right now.

If the choice is between ico and purchase of bitcoin,
I would advise to divide the bank: 50% for ico, 50% for purchase of bitcoin
I never  saw in practice that adhered to such strategy: ONLY BITCOIN
I would advise you to study a trading subject, a mining subject.
But, if you have not a big bank and you don't pursue huge profit or just really with all the heart you trust in bitcoin - buy only it

It depends on how much budget do you have, because buying BTC will cost you much money rather than investing on an ICO. If you invest, you can manipulate your profit buy holding tokens and then sell it if you're satisfied with the price. So, my advice to you is to invest to the right ICO, just read and learn carefully to low risk of being scammed. Thank you

If you have a small amount of money you’d better invest them to the good ICO project but if you have a huge amount if money you’d better buy bitcoin or ethereum.

My plan is getting into an ICO quite early.
If i no longer reach the highest bonus level, i will not go in.

But i'm interested in the project, so i look if i get it low after exchange listing.
Because usually it drops there in the first days.

Bitcoin is Safe bet! it most trusted crypto in the market. and you should now that 99% of icos are scam!

Quote
Scam ICO's are no longer the same as before! Darknet offers real teams, developers, company registration, and sometimes even an MVP. Such ICO's can look legit, but they will never succeed and move forward. They will have a real tokensale, will pretend to do something, maybe even show a fancy user interface... But then will slowly disappear due to high dynamics of the cryptomarket, and will eventually be forgotten.

Not only a basis of much we can afford to lose or how much capital we have in our pocket but it is also our reason why you want for this investment. Participating ICO is more risky than of buying directly to btc or eth,  as we consider that ICO it sometime to fail and loss our money.
