The potential of NEO has not yet been fully released, which is mainly influenced by China's policy for investors. I don't think NEO will surpass bitcoin in 2019, and there are still too many uncertainties in NEO today.

NEO is a good coin but i really doubt if it has a chance against bitcoin now or in the near future, Bitcoin is too good of a coin to be compared to NEO, the one undoing factor of NEO is the Large amount GAS needed to deploy their smart contracts. This is makes it very difficult for small transactions to operate in the platform. There is need for a serious technological upgrade for NEO to be able to compete in the against more established a;ts such as ETH, let alone BTC

If it's ETH I will think different but this is NEO so I think there is no way that NEO can surpass Bitcoin in the future don't mind if it's 2019 or 2059 cause there are no chance for NEO to be able to better than BTC although China is supporting for it. from a technological point of view, NEO can compete with bitcoin because NEO is a project that will continue to grow differently from decentralized bitcoins, but if in my price point it would be very difficult to compete with bitcoin because you can see how the impact when bitcoin prices fall, almost 90% altcoin falls with bitcoin.
I believe the NEO is a very beautiful project and they have a clear vision of the future.

it's true that NEO is a great idea of a project with a great team of devs behind it, I even researched ans saw that many devs work on project voluntarily but I don't quite agree that it could surpass Bitcoin in 2019. It should beat ETH and other great projects before we can then begin to think of it surpassing Bitcoin.

I dont think so NEO can surpass BTC in next years, in my opinion in 5 to 10 years BTC still become the number 1 crypto, there are many competitor of NEO like ETH, EOS, ADA, ONT and ZIL. Although the fundamental of NEO is good but hard for NEO to replace BTC and others, because others coin also doing the samething, they will make new inovation to increase their product and service to make the community bigger.

It was interesting last year to listen to people who made such predictions for other coins, in particular eth. Well, there is not yet such a coin capable of taking off with a crazy speed to the top and hold out there. Need or a complete collapse bitcoin, or that all invested only in this coin.

Not so sure about "by 2019"..However with all things considered, for example these great projects being built on its blockchain, the team behind, and its roadmap throughout these years, there may be a big future with NEO.

Not going to happen. Bitcoin is on a good path now, once lightning network is implemented it's going to be amazing. The Segwit implementation and adoption already made a huge difference.

Neo, formerly known as Antshares is the first open-source blockchain project from China. Neo was created in 2014 to transform the buying and selling system into a system they call smart-economy which includes Digital Assets, Digital Identity, and Smart contracts. So it is only natural that this coin will be dealing directly with ethereum in later times. As has been assumed by many analysts precisely in 2017.

Honestly I was one of those people who love this coin, in the past 6 months I've been following it and I finally find something amazing that's the amount of Neo supply was never decreased. However even so I really do not believe if Neo will surpass Bitcoin.
