I think your strategy is pretty good and simple, right now the bitcoin price is so far below the highest price level so suppose you sell some of your altcoin to buy bitcoin so you hold it well, in my opinion it is, and consider the bitcoin price in Mid year or at end of 2018 this will rise above the highest price level of course you will get big profit.

whenever prices are dropping you should sell, the difference is that not everyone is a trader so most of them don't sell bitcoin but they sell all their altcoins. what you can do in this case is to continue to accumulate more and more bitcoin as the price of it goes lower, that way you can increase your bitcoin wealth. and we all know that bitcoin is the good long term investment which will go back up eventually and has another huge rally.

To get profit you must have a good investment strategy.
If I have 1000$ idle then I would have invested it in Bitcoin. But not the full amount. I will keep one fourth of as safety. That means I would have invested a total of 750$. The rest 250$ is my safety cash. Bitcoin or any kind of crypto currency is unstable. So it's not confirmed that if I invest then definitely I will got profit. If the investment turned into a loss project then some how I can live with the 250$.
This is my strategy. If you like then you may follow it.

..i admire your investment strategy..that technique is what am i supposed to do last year..i want to invest some of my bitcoin to buy some eth and hold it,,then sell it when the price is high..that time eth price is $300..and before year end it reach around $1000..but sad to say i did not do it..because,,it is my first time to be involve in cryptocurrency, i'm affraid to lost my money..i feel so much regret for not doing that strategy..For now,,i think this is the time to sell some of yoyr altcoins and invest it in bitcoin while the price is low..then gain large profit when bitcoin value double its price on the following days..

With how bitcoin is performing recently I think that it is best to not put all your eggs in one basket, especially with how low the dip has been going on. You have the right mindset. However I preach that you still take some time and use your gut feel and the realization of the knowledge that you have to see if this is worth the gamble so that in the end you would not have any regrets. Bitcoin has been going up and down lately akd it kight be better to put some in altcoins for more income

I would not do that. All the same, this is a risky strategy. Optimal strategy: 30% bitcoin, the remaining altcoins from the top 10 for capitalization. Well, invest for a long time of course.

I have forecast the bitcoin for the current year and i have checked the factors which are associated wit the bitcoin so i will try to do best for the bitcoin investment and i have made a strategy for this investment and bitcoin is very precious for me to buy now. thats not bad idea putting all your investment on bitcoin specially now bitcoin is cheap but i more prefer diversify than putting my investment in one coin it more chance gain more profit holding some good potential altcoin.

That's quite good but I prefer to hold my potential alt than to convert it all in bitcoin because as I see bitcoin still recovering and some alts make a way to become better and this is a chance to gain more profit but for a long term plan bitcoin is still much better.
