I am trading once in a while because I have coins in exchanges. Sometimes I buy and just wait the coin to go up in value before I sell, of course I know it is in dip. Now, which is better, set it to your expected price so that when it hit you sold? O wait for the price to go up and sell even if it did not reach yet to your  target price? Thanks.
In my opinion, doing a long term investment makes you profitable as you can manage the movement of price then act even if your target price the not meet as long as it makes a profits.
You should understand that today's prices for Bitcoin can very badly characterize the long-term outlook for investments. Today, not only Bitcoin falls in price, but the entire crypto-currency market.

it depends on the coins you hold, some coins reach the peak prices after some time but some only rise during a pump, so make your decision very carefully while holding or selling any coin

Definitely long term. If there is a coin im indifferent about and I know they have good news coming I may be tempted to risk a swing trade but this is very rare for me

I divide my fund in long term and in short term. When I short trade I use the profit that I gain to sustain my daily expensive and the long term is for my savings. Both are profitable it just depends on how you handle your trade.

I prefer at a long term investments because it gives as higher profits compared to a short term investments. Hodling is a very good option to earn high as long as we select the most promising, stable and reliable cryptocurrency. Study and research at cryptocurrencies makes us wiser and more proficient in our investments. Short term is so risky it requires frequent monitoring at the crypto market to prevent from getting loss.

I agree with you. Long term investment is much better than short term investments because it really differs at the time. The more days past by the more valuable it will be. It is like a gem value price are rising as it is antiquated. Patience and knowledge at cryptocurrency is very important so that investments are more profitable.

Often it is very difficult for many people to resist and not sell a coin at a price that has already become several times higher than the price at which you got in. But we must remember that the price of good coins is always growing in a long term. This should stop us from selling and help to take reasonable action Smiley

I'm long term!
Yeah, for me long term traders incur much fewer trading fees, since positions are held for a long period. but short term trading can be very profitable. Some people make careers and millions of dollars from trading stocks in as little as a few minutes. The key to short term trading is lots of research and forming a solid plan, then following through.

I do long terms when I plan to earn a huge percentage of interest. But I do short term when I need some quick returns so  I can pile them up, sell and buy the bigger coins.

That is always the best way to gamble with the market because some people don't know the value of holding them for long term. Same time we have to check the potential coins in order to get more awareness about their development.

For me as a coin holder sometimes we have to secured what we now, there are some reason to hold of any coins because of a situation of price value is not good so, we'll just wait until it is in a good price condition, they don't blame to our good technique because our capital  is suffered the bad impact if we have to deal   without thinking better  in a million times.

As for me - both. Generally i go for short term for popular coin but for token i prefer long term and also i think only go for short term to increase the quantity of the coin dont care if u going in loss as well just focus on increasing the quantity, in future it will give u bigger rewards, no doubt.

For less stress, it's better to be a long term holder but you can't avoid those times that you have to eliminate some of your coins in your portfolio to avoid loss.

Your two mentioned strategies are even working. Setup to the highest price that you can reach before selling and as long as the price increased, you can sell.

These two will work depending on the situation and your eagerness and your feeling if you earned enough.

I think, for now, it is better if we can play a long-term because we still don't know the situation of the market and even we know, it still difficult for us to predict where the price wants to go. maybe we can buy any coins right now and we can hold for a long time so we can make a profit in the future. but some of us will still try to buy and sell the coin and I think they still can make a profit although the profit is always changing too. but we don't have to give up in this situations because I am sure that this will not be forever and if we still are patient, we can make a lot of profit in the future.

It is impossible to unequivocally answer this question here. There are coins that grow slowly, without great hesitation. They are suitable only for a long investment. However, some coins are raised in price, they are lowered and then they can be bargained almost daily. It also happens that coins do not grow for a long time, and then their rapid growth begins or vice versa. Therefore, everything depends on the specific circumstances and the situation in the crypto-currency market.

Holding coin for long time or short time is depend on which coin you want to buy or you have. If the coin have any own platform like Eth, Neo, waves etc. Hold it for long or the coin you have already giving you profit sell them. You can also make short and long both trade using same coin. Just look at market trade history if its good trade with half and hold other half for long time..

I'm a long term holder on coins like bitcoin and utrust. I have 5 long term coins right now while the altcoins for my short term are 25 and they keep adding because of the bear market that affected it's growth drastically.
