Mostly i choose both the long term and short term because we don't know when the prices start increasing in the market. Depend on the situation of the market i will act.

it's better to wait for the right time to get a big profit than selling at a price that does not reach the target but I think it's better to be patient making this an investment for the future

As practice has shown, if a person does not have sufficient knowledge and skills in trading, this is the Commission of short-term trading operations it is not suitable. It is much safer to buy altcoins for the long term.

Comparatively speaking yes indeed, its much better to sell it when you already maximize the profits, than trying to short and regret after seeing the value to go even more, set a target and aimed for it, if you can just hold your coins and keep it then patiently waits until the rise to the moon comes and enjoy your big earnings, most of those who understand the chain loves to invest and wait.

Well, this is a very passive trade, there are faster and more profitable ways. I recommend to study the market better!

I am trading once in a while because I have coins in exchanges. Sometimes I buy and just wait the coin to go up in value before I sell, of course I know it is in dip. Now, which is better, set it to your expected price so that when it hit you sold? O wait for the price to go up and sell even if it did not reach yet to your target price? Thanks.
Well, I created a strategy after I listened to many other investors and created a mix out of them: 1) buy something that is very hyped for short period of time. Sell and get out the profits fast and leave a small portion on the token; 2) buy the PROBABLE rumour and sell the news. For example projects that have high potential and are only on one great exchange and in the meanwhile will be listed on a new one. Buy it, wait for the news and then sell it when it has at least more than 50%. You gotta search those one. 3) make a switch: sell on profit, buy on dip between the coins that I do trust: Let's say that I have 5 all star coins that I own. From the one that performs best I sell a certain percentage (never all of them!) and buy more of the coin that has the lowest growth or is in a dip at that very moment. And I continue this process every once in a while. 4) there are also some coins that are long term holders that are untouched. This is my approach towards the way of trading. Hope it has been a helpful post Stay safe

Why don't you invest in security tokens they are not going to give you millions just for investing 1 US, but you can receive a lot of money and when somethings is asset backed the value doesn't depreciate at a high rate like in cryptomarkets. Please check this article and tell me what you think, for me the best one is Property Coin because is an real estate asset backed token and those things takes some time to depreciate is a crash happens. https://medium.com/@tatianakoffman/your-official-guide-to-the-security-token-ecosystem-61a805673db7

Both short term and long term.
1/3 of my fund is for long-term, holding ADA, NXT, MONA
other 1/3 is for short-term, trading ZCL, BCC, BTG right now
the last 1/3 is for some good ICO projects
I think you should divide your fund to some parts, and trying all the strategy to see what is the best for you.

I prefer to long term because it is more profitable in order to avoid bad sell. Keep holding though in the short term it's worth going up better wait a long time could have the price jumped from before.

My friends advice's me to hold for long term but due to to increase and decrease of coins prices every hour and everyday, I think short term may apply to me, buy and sell give you small profits but when this small profits continue and keep coming, then it will become big after a month compared to just holding for long time.

I prefer long term and holding strategies as they require less time than shorting - you need to be really proficient in trading and be always online to look at market signals.

I plan to hold coin midterm, which is 6 months to 1 year. however, i have a couple of coins which i will hold long-term such as 2 years. But it depends on lots of things, i think some short-term holder make decent money if the strategy is good.

With me, i choose both long term and short term which depend on the coin and the aim of this coin. If the coin is innitial, i will choose the long term, waiting for the development of this coin. If the coin is completed, I will hold in short term, if it gain my money, i will sell it.

I chose the long term. Because I think long term is very profitable compared with short-term. But if the long term we are more struggling and be patient to get big profits. If we choose for the long term but we do not have a great sense of patience it will certainly be very difficult to get through it all.

My strategy to choose long term or short term is that I look if the cryptocurrency on the coinmarketcap turns up one or more steps I hold and vice versa.
