I agree. I think Bill Gates is coming from the idea that there are so many activities and transactions regarding the cryptocurrency market that is quite unreliable, or worst, shady. Therefore, for a businessman, he would not suggest to people to follow it because it's like suggesting for them to embrace the loss and would basically put their hard earned money in danger. In any kind of business, it's your call whether you would want to take the risk in exchange for a return, so at the end of the day, it's still your call as an investor and trader.

Hell yeah, and the language is an extremely dangerous because it may kill... Cash is used to resist AML and buy drugs and weapons and so on much wider! Without a doubt crypto is a risky area for investing, but it's very silly to talk about AML, terrorism in relation to crypto.

Will.everyone of us is entittled to express our own opinion,like john bill gates says about the cryptocurrency is maybe use in wrong direction,but for me if this digital currency will become regulate wordwide theres a tendency  that the use of its in illegal activities will be minimized and controlled because all the transaction in bitcoin will become visible  and no more investment will become hidden on all its transaction.

That's a reasonable opinion, if they just look from the bad side of crypto, but we must also consider the positive side of crypto. There are many advantages that I have felt, when wanting to send money abroad or shopping abroad by using crypto and crypto has reduced a lot of unemployment in my country. Yes he does have a sound reason back there that we can agree. But big business tycoons may have a different view point at new technologies with a lot of support that may cripple his business. I have a lot of respect for Bill Gates.  I don't think there is any disputing that the dark web is a significant negative force in the crypto world.  The community should actively support solutions, like AML / KYC measures, to counteract this in order to ensure the benefits of crypto can be enjoyed for years to come.

well it's just his opinion and he is basically right that crypto can be used for illegal anonymous purchases and payments, which is not always great, especially when it comes to terrorist funding etc

I agree with you, that now cryptocurrencies are using for buying and selling drugs, guns and other prohibited items. And what else we need crypto if it's not anonymous. But the earth turns, time is going, and I think now technologies are rising. What can you say about KYC, it is everywhere, do you see?
