It is not so hard to kill cash as you make it appear, it seems.

Do you know that in Sweden cash is almost extinct, there are already cashless zones and places that don't accept cash at all, and everybody, and I mean everybody accepts cards - even beggars have the card terminals to accept charity of passers-by. So cash is almost completely eliminated already.

But of course, Sweden is not the cryptocurrency haven, it is Visa&Mastercard haven.

i have no idea what the bold part means.
but i don't think decentralized cryptocurrencies such as bitcoin can kill the centralized fiat. fiat as we know it may change form and become a cryptocurrency but the "cash" or paper money will always exist and be used the same way that fiat turned into digital form with debit cards, credit cards and internet banking but cash still exists.

Crypto won't kill cash completely, but will be replacing more and more % of cash and electronic currency. And don't forget, that there is a rival like digital fiat money. Such giants like visa and mastercard have already blocked some projects like Tenx and it became more difficult to purchase something via crypto

Transactions usually take some time, so i don't think crypto will ever replace cash. They now exist simultaniosly and have thheir specific functions.

It can not happen that crypto can kill fiat money because the whole world still uses cash in different transactions. It can not wipe out fiat currency, because btc is accepted only at some selected business establishments and, the crypto is prohibited in other countries.

Cryptocurrency was invented to substitute fiat money. Today we are in the early stages of the crypto technology and it is still difficult for some people to use the crypto wallets. I believe that one day in the very near future, we will be able to do transactions using NFC like technology using our smartphone and generate (unique) addresses with our fingerprints.
It will be much easier for everyone to use cryptos, and I believe users will be multiplied.

If anything, I think it sounds easy on paper. As you said, Sweden is a Visa/Mastercard haven, so, even getting them to switch to crypto might take some time and a lot of effort. And of course, that's just Sweden, imagine how hard it'd be in the U.S., for example.

As much as I want crypto to kill cash, it's going to take a really long time, more than a few years.

What will be used by you to make any transaction in the real life? The paper money becomes the main actor at this case. But as long as there will be a lot of change in my life to implement the automation in the various payment system and that will be true. Basically there is no different between crypto and fiat money but the fact it doesn't have physical form.

I don't think cryptocurrency would be able to kill cash in the near future. There are so many countries that still do not recognize cryptocurrency and even make it illegal making it impossible to kill their cash. It can be tested in a small country or town wherein they would use cryptocurrency all the way and disregard cash making it worthless. They would be successful if everyone would cooperate and all people are knowledgeable about crypto but if not then others would be force to study about it. They should have a strong internet connection too since it is needed to transact. If ever it would be use in developing countries then others wouldn't be able to access it because of lack of electricity or internet connection which is the reason why it would be hard to implement cryptocurrency completely.

I don't think that cryptocurrencies killed Fiat. It is more likely for me that they will exist side by side for a long time. If the societies mature to fully accept the digital currency then maybe they will decide to replace fiat money.

It can be happen only when internet will be everywhere and stable. Now it is impossible. What will be use people who live in the region where is bad internet? Not all people use credit cards so what you want from cryptocurrency.

Cash could be killed without crypocurrency. The target of crypocurrency is the banks, not cash.

It might turn into new form of cash in future! Wallets like pay-pal, paytm couldn't cut down cash completely even though they have been running with full pace for all these years. Although, cash payemts did reduce to quite an extent, it didnt become extinct. So i feel cryptocurrency will follow the same trend or it might transform itself in a new form of cash!
