Successful Refugee Christmas Dinner - The $PAC Charity Department Wishes everyone Merry Christmas!$PAC, together with their partners Cripto Conserje and their new sponsor GlobalBoost, hosted a successful Christmas dinner for Venezuelan refugee families in Cúcuta Colombia combined with an art-contest for refugee children. The art that has been produced will be sold at the next Washington Elite Blockchain & A.I. Summit in Washington DC on February 1st and 2nd in 2019. After the dinner, everyone received presents and the children got lap-time with Santa Claus! Everyone was impressed when they saw Santa. They also received $PAC grab-bags filled with essential goods. They make a living by scavenging trash bins around the city for plastic recyclables to sell to a recycling company for money. During the evening, there was also a renowned invitee, a beatboxer named Jonathan Rincon who lives among the 5 families mentioned above. $PAC and Cripto Conserje are planning to start following these 5 families more closely and are planning to do further charity work with them. We plan to build this group into a gradually expanding vibrant community that uses crypto. We will build this with more families, more living space, more food and they will use crypto to build their own economy and get more jobs created in the process! Hi, which version of the wallet on which OS are you using? If you are not running the current version, please install it - the current version can be found here: https://wallets.paccoin.net/. If you are already running the current version of the desktop wallet, try restarting your device / computer. If that does not help, you could delete everything but wallet.dat, masternode.conf and paccoin executable in the wallet folder and then start the wallet again. Before you do anything make sure you make a backup copy of your wallet.dat (and masternode.conf if you are running masternodes). |

What do you mean by that exactly - is your $PAC balance is zero or wrong? Are any of transactions shown or all of them are missing? If the $PAC balance is zero and all transactions are missing, this might indicate that the wallet.dat file was newly generated (since the previous one got damaged or was missing or is in wrong folder / place / computer). In this case, I would not try to open close your wallet again until this is dealt with. Instead, I suggest you to join the $PAC discord server ( https://discord.gg/Bx2HKfy) and describe your problem in the #paccore-wallet-support channel the best you can. My idea would be to recover the wallet.dat file from the backup you created before, or from backup copies created by the wallet itself (present in the "backups" folder inside the "PaccoinCore" folder). In any case, $PAC discord server is the place one has the best chance at solving the issue you have. |

Friendly update to the PAC communityThough all of you are anxious for the return of $PAC functionality on all exchanges, $PAC team needs ample time to finish our next large update properly and include all new security features and several 'quality of life' improvements. This update needs to include security measures against mining attacks, which is a challenging problem the whole crypto-space is trying to solve, not just $PAC. The $PAC developers are working tirelessly, but testing and doing the necessary updates takes time, if it's to be done right. Here is just one example of an unstable, attackable coin being removed from an exchange just the last week. More exchanges are doing this without warning to coins that aren't looking out for their investors. $PAC is NOT going to allow itself to be a target for these chain attacks. https://twitter.com/CryptoCurrEncyX/status/1080169572030971904We have a short term plan in the works to hopefully give us some more time, for which one expects the exchanges will accept as an interim solution. This fix also aims to improve mining hash power on the network. This may mean a continued, but temporarily high, confirmation mode for exchange fund verification - do note that this is purely for the sake of security, and will hopefully allow improved, yet limited functionality during this period. Also, please note that this is based on exchanges accepting this short term fix, this doesn't mean that all of them will open $PAC transactions on their platforms. $PAC team realizes this is not ideal, but one needs the additional time to prepare the next updates which should increase the stability and security of the $PAC network long-term.

Helped me in the community. I took the very first backup file from the folder bacups. I copied it to my wallet folder and renamed it to walett.dat. Restarted wallet - and lo and behold! My wallet appeared with balance!  )) Thanks for the help! |

I have thought I have briefly seen your message mentioning that you have had issues using Discord after joining the $PAC discord server; I assume you managed to solve that as well! Hello, What i mean with 'on exchange redemption' is the swap of coins that happend on the exchanges Cryptopia, Yobit and Trade Satoshi. The old PAC that was on the exchange got swapped to $PAC by the exchanges. Cryptopia: 822.769.874 $PAC PEm7qsX6onMThpiQSr7o3aTRW819qr3q72 Yobit: 370.997.069 $PAC PUs8VaA7zG9C7YxSvUoQg7C2weNPi3xi86 Trade Satoshi: around 100mil, waiting on the address to show it. Those are the addresses we sent the coins to for the on exchange redemption. the exchanges distributed the coins to their users holding old PAC. I hope this explains it.
